Decided to give bloodborne a shot during the quarantine. After reaching the end boss went for the dlc, had some trouble at first but after a bit managed to reach the end of it.
Now I'm stuck on this autistic abomination and I dont want to beat the moon twat before ending this
Fuck the orphan

try heavy attacking his back, does some insane damage.
I fought him my first time on New Game +.
I still haven't beaten him.
Dash past him and whack his ass. That technique works on practically every Bloodborne boss.
Get some firepaper and beast blood pellets and dodge to his right for some attacks. He also does a leap which is backstab bait and his transition into his 2nd phase leaves him open for a backstab. Then his screaming lightning attack leaves him open and other than that you really just have to be on your toes for his erratic attacks. I find not locking on to be helpful for him.
You can kite his bitch ass and slap it repeatedly until he dies if you're quick enough.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
Kek wait till you get to Laurence
I can’t beat this fucks second phases at all. I literally cannot figure out what are you supposed to do. I just gave up playing lol maybe I just just trounce the moon faggot
He filtered me pretty hard. The entire game was breeze up until him. I had to take a break and beat him the next day, after tackling him for hours.
Orphan is the ultimate test if you've mastered the game they made him unpredictable and twice as aggressive
Literally the hardest boss I ever faced. This son of a great being change attack patern based on what attack hits you the most and can cancel mid animation.
The only suggestion I can give you is to use the dlc shield to block the lighting for mininum damage. As it count as an hit, I'll start doing them.
Also I usually attacked him only after his second jump attack. The rest zi dodged. Rakuyo for that ass poke
For some reason, I had much less trouble with him than Ludwig. Orphan still took me about 20-25 tries but Ludwig took me an ungodly 50+ tries to beat. Laurence on the other hand I beat on my first try. Just circle strafing him and spamming R1 with the hammer took him down easy
>learn to parry him for phase 1
>phase two, uh, wing it
This. Learn his tells for phase 1.
For phase 2, get that Old Hunter Bone or whatever it's called, the thing that makes you dodge with cloud of smoke. Helps tremendously. Use a fast weapon; I used Beasthunter Saif in small mode.
I still can't believe FromSoft used a cheap stupid stock scream effect. I remember some autist on here having a mental breakdown when he realised.
every monster sound effect in souls is that
Parry and backstab a bunch in the first phase and then dodge like crazy in the second phase. Took me probably more tries than any boss in Sekiro, he's just really tough unless you happen to have certain weapons.
His first phase can be completely trivialized by running under his leap attack and backstabbing him.
The second phase is much more challenging. My advice is to use the bone and mash dodge when he goes full retard. You can also parry some of his second phase attacks, which I didn't think to do until I'd already lost many times.
I didn't even bother. Both him and Orphan are two of the hardest bosses in the game, but Orphan is actually fun and well-designed. I decided that I'd rather end the DLC on a high note than on Laurence.
>bloodborne is just an edgy game of slap ass
Is Orphan the hardest boss in the Soulsborne series?
Hardest fair boss: Midir
Hardest bullshit boss: 2kat
died to orphan countless times but beat laurence first try
>Tfw just charged attacked him and regained my health immediately every time he left fire on the ground.
>Isshin twice
HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
I died to Orphan around 70 times before I beat him. Never died to Laurence.
Soul of Cinder isn't very hard
>False king Allant.
Is he really considered hard? I had no problem with him wahtsoever. And I am trash at soulsborne.
>Maneaters
Fucking piece of shits I hate you!
I got so raped by those two assholes that I quit the game for 6 months before I got back to it.
Exact opposite. Thoroughly convinced the V*lebloods did nothing wrong now tbqh
I really and i mean REALLY struggled with ludwig, but lawrence was piss easy. Weird
Literally me. What weapon were you using?
What kind of build/weapons should I use in my new playthrough bros?
Only the most kino weapon
Orphan is easy. Be aggressive. Honestly not sure how people die to him. One of the few bosses I've never died against.
Cane and tophat pure skill build
in my experience i feel like if you had trouble with one of the bosses, you won't have trouble with the other. never failed for me. sometimes i'll fuck up orphan and breeze through laurence and in other playthroughs the opposite happens. i think it largely depends on the build i'm using that run.
Eh, making a thread about this would send on a rampage the board. To me Orphan is the hardest thing they made. I played all games, and Orphan is the only boss that made me farm up to level 120 in the dungeons and still kicked my ass 50 times before winning. Midir is fair, you just need to learn him, Ghael I never see why he is hard, Sekiro bosses can be learned and after you know them, you can do them 1sr try.
Orphan is just there to say fuck you and your skills
I kind of wish that Lady Maria was more difficult. The boss has everything else going for it, including probably the most epic music in the game youtube.com
Was Gael really hard for people? I honestly died more to the Twin Princes in that DLC than Gael
I died to her the most because her weird fire trails kept throwing me off in phase 3.
At least for me, Gael is the most fun boss in the series.
If you keep playing you'll get him eventually. Orphan is a battle of nerves and you just need to keep your cool. Everyone says phase 2 is the hardest shit ever, but honestly looking back I only made it to phase 2 five times or so before I beat him. What catches people up is they probably want to gain a footing on his moveset before really attacking him, but you really want to attack quickly and often because the phase is so deadly. It's hard to do this since he's so intimidating but he leaves a lot of space open and you'll get damaged less than you would expect.
>tfw died like once to laurence and not even once to phase 2 ludwig
It's always weird how much variety there is between boss experiences in these games
>Now I'm stuck on this autistic abomination and I dont want to beat the moon twat before ending this
You can't beat the moon before. It restarts your game. And if you are hating on it I doubt you want a new playtrough. Beating the orphan does nothing, but it is one of the hardest bosses Fromsoftware has ever made (but even then, he is still fair). Don't be a fag
Laurence isn't even 1/10th of the difficulty of the Orphan. He also has a summon if you struggle while Orphan is just 100% bullshit.
I had to grind for more stamina to beat that fucker Orphan because he just kept attacking forever and I ran the fuck out of dodges holy fucking shit what an asshole.
WUSDATSMELL
Fume knight was the hardest for me. I was doing no agility though so some of his attacks were just bullshit. Had to use no armor other than that bellbro helmet so he only had 1 phase to beat it. Was much easier in runs where I had the agility though.
Hardest for me with out bullshit was probably nameless though.
to me, gael's difficulty varies depending on what weapon you're using. for heavier and slower weapons there is only like one of his attacks that is safe to punish in his final phase. for someone using a fast weapon, he's far easier to keep in check.
The lowest I've ever killed OoK was 50, and autists can pull it off at lvl 4.
For all the spaz, tracking, and animation cancelling, you can totally predict and bait a lot of what he does. For the remainder, just keep your health at max
Whenever I parried I automtically dodged expecting it not to land, and then tried to riposte, taking a hit in the process.
Every single time.
I have cleared new game +7 and orphan is way harder than laurence
Most of these bosses are hard but I think almost all of them are also really fun and well done too. Aside from shitty HP sponges like Laurence or Demon of Hatred or Ancient Dragon or most of the chalice dungeon garbage, almost all of them have cool mechanics and a fun moveset. Fromsoft really is unbeaten when it comes to challenging and fun bosses
Excuse me... *plays Laurence theme*
I'm on with Maria being a cool humanoid but not frustating fight
I think it's just for his massive healt. But if you got your roll ( and the ring for stamina + 3 ) he is fairly easy to deal with. Hands down for coolest fight
Why the actual fuck is Ancient Dragon on here?
Gael fight was pure kino
Because he can kill you in one hit easily and he has a huge health pool?
Probably it is before patch, where the fire could one shot and reach you anywhere. Not difficult, just badly made
Thank you From for keeping 3rd person action games alive.
Ahh Kos...
Yes but he's a godawful boss whose best and least aggravating strategy is to hide in his toes and try not to get farted on. The others are difficult due to y'know, being well designed good bossfights.
Ranking the dlc bosses in terms of difficulty
1. Orphan
2. Ludwig (first phase is bonkers)
3. Laurence (he has one combo that that if it catches yout it's almost guaranteed to kill you)
4. Maria
5. Living Failures
...or some say Kosm
