user, interconnectivity means that the game is good. The more interconnectivity a game has, the better it is. This is why Dark Souls 1 is the best in the franchise even though half of it is decent at best and half of it thoroughly shits itself, and why Demon's Souls is actually the worst. Interconnectivity overrides everything. Interconnectivity is an Exodia move.

being unable to turn on a dime between attacks makes the combat worse. That plus the deadzones makes dark souls 2 feel unresponsive and frustrating to play, in comparison to others in the series. Removing control of the character from the player is rarely a good thing.

I cant get into 1 idk why but I keep playing DeS im only playthrough 3 and im having so much fun and when I play DS1 idk it feels... boring? an user recommended me pyromancer idk if thats the reason. but I just cant get engrossed like I do DeS where il play for 16 hours and still want to play more. pic related is where im at now in DS1 im a bit past it actually lost to the gargoyles once.

Remove Black Gulch from Dark Souls 2, improve the textures, and add a few more bosses that aren’t dudes and you have the perfect souls game
