I'm so happy so many more people will get to play Wonderful 101 soon. Problem is that the game takes a little too long to give you a decent amount of moves, and your basic defensive options are technically optional buys in the shop. I hope Remastered has the sense to make Guts & Spring default techniques, but even if it doesn't the framerate & loading improvements alone, let alone not needing to deal with Gamepad shit and the extra content being added from stretch goals, will solidify it as my favorite game. Excited to see the backer cover art, might change the 3x3 square to it.

I guess, but they both contain pretty stellar, as well as, downright dreadful levels, so they balance each other out. If both games were combined, the bad levels were culled, and Thief II had bunny hopping still, they would be perfect. There's also tons of fan missions spread across the two games which keeps them both in my top 3.

TFD takes a minute to get going, sort of like how the game's own mechanics are about building and keeping momentum. Once you get decent weapons, buy all your extra moves from the shop, and learn how Overdrive functions, it starts to come together. Also the boss fights, there's not a bad one in the bunch; even the best action games generally have one stinker, but Devastation's worst boss is only "bad" because it wants you to use guns and keep track of what terrain is falling away under you as you do so. Even then you can just double jump and melee it half the time.

It's been so long since I played some of the games on my old 3x3 that they feel out of place now, but I haven't really enjoyed anything enough in the past 10 years to merit replacing them.

Based. It's definitely a niche game, but it's one of the most rewarding RPG experiences you can find.

I really couldn't believe Kojima pulled through.

Last game he was involved with that I truly liked was MGS3, so it was a nice surprise. Wouldn't consider it an all time favorite, but I'm glad I played it and enjoyed it.

Same here. Like I like the latter MGS games but didn't love them.

My biggest issue is that I didn't really feel that they needed to exist and it would seem Kojima felt the same way. Ideally, it would've ended with MGS2, but 3 is a great game, so I won't complaint about its existence.
I'd like to see him create some more new IPs in the future. If nothing else, he's good at coming up with interesting premises and universes.

Babylon's Fall, new IP from Platinum for Square. We know little from the teaser and gameplay trailer, but it seems to be a dungeon crawler of sorts with the main combat mechanic being some sort of magical ropes/chains that your character can use to attack and seemingly wield enemy weapons. I loved the designs in the first trailer and liked what glimpses we had in the second. Hopefully it is a dungeon crawler with some meat to it.
