Every waking moment.

This thing looks like a useless piece of shit

this. I don't even know what it is I can already tell it's 200$ and complete nostalgiafag hipster bait for people that unironically hyped no man's sky

I'm a huge sucker for this style of design, I'll give them that.
But no.

What’s that crank for? Do you have to wind it up to play it

just put a fishing game on it and call it a day

Can someone tell me what this is?

A scam.

console for chads

Does it support VR?

Close, its 150$

it's just an input method. for the game in the screenshot, it controls time

no, this was always a stupid cash-grab concept to swindle retards

another useless thing Seattle and Portland hipsters can waste their parents money on

a wank crank game fer coomers

its all i can think of anymore

Do you have to wind up the game like those survival radio/flashlights?

Bongfag here, why do Americans constantly seethe about Seattle and Portland (and San Francisco too)?

don't you guys have phones

They're growing cesspools of degeneracy

I'd give it a try if it had anything worth playing on it. You can do a reasonable amount of gameplay with a d-pad and two face buttons.

Loved the concept and the product itself but a $200 price tag and all the indy shitware it's flooded with rather than actual decent titles that utilize the handheld's control scheme turned me off harder than the Ouya or Stadia.

Sounds like my kinda thing.

I used to be, when it had some sort of release window. I love the idea of a weird handheld that plays carts with experimental, small games on them. I just want to see how an RPG will be handled, honestly. But the price is lame.

Yes

San Francisco is the epicentre of radical leftism and unironic social justice propeganda.

Portland was invaded by hipsters after they realized what a nice community it was, ruined the entire city in the span of four years by jacking up real estate prices and shitting in the streets.

ANY CRANKERS?

Attached: playdate.jpg (512x457, 38.86K)

a fashion accessory for boring "technophile" hipsters who don't have a sincere interest in technology, but carry around dumb fucking gadgets hoping somebody will ask about them

The whole thing feels like an experiment into how far you can get by putting the absolute minimum effort into a product, and putting maximum effort into marketing and using your journie fuck buddies.

Is it a metal body? I like boxy metal things for some reason.

fuck off and go back to wherever you redditors went after you got banned

everyone hates them, they are hyper radicalized extremists, and try to force their fascist authoritarianism on everyone

Switch killer

crank doesn't even charge it but I guess you can play fishing games

by hipsters for hipsters

Yeah I'm still excited. I look forward to developing my own games & software

>ruined the entire city in the span of four years
When? I'm a portlandfag and it's always had really high real estate prices. Unless you're talking about the shittier parts like hillsboro going up too, but that was going to happen anyway.
As for the hipsters they were always here too, but after Austin got famous for the "keep Austin wierd" bullshit portland jumped on the bandwagon hard and now everybody thinks portland is this wacky land full of hipsters. The reality is it's the same freaks and weirdos it was before but now they just have a more socially acceptable name, but they're still mostly just pieces of shit. Thank normalfags for calling everything that's even a little unusual "hipster".

I'm looking forward to it. Could be cool.
You have it? Is it actually any good?

Self-righteous hypocrites that like to pretend to be progressive but are actually worse than people who are open bigots.

I don't, that pic was lifted off the Playdate twitter (also that's just a still image not actual Mac OS-style software). Developers will have early access to the devices, but I plan to buy one as a regular customer and then start developing. Panic has said the device will be open enough to run anything you like
This is another still mockup image of a music program some dev is working on

it is where people I don't like live so it is bad

I'd buy it at $20usd. maybe $50 if they're using top of the line materials and not cheap chinese labor

Seattle and San Fran are both tech geek havens and americans hate smart people. San Fran is also gay mecca. Portland is full of hipsters and americans hate them too.

They're using Malaysian labor not Chinese

kek, I haven't see that one before. Crank arm is a nice touch.

Can it run Crysis?

Seattle and portland are big cities with a relatively low cost of living and have a lot of big tech jobs. They are also slightly more liberal than the surrounding areas and the states as a whole. It's almost exclusively right-wingers that hate these cities.

Yes, but you have to crank really hard

No public dev kit no buy.

>haha console go brrrr

>Crank is on the right
>But the left arm is bigger
Bad picture.

You can't expect these retards on Yas Forums to get anything right bro

every playdate is a public devkit

Fixed.

Not too smart, are you user?

The crank and the arm are on different sides. see an optometrist

lmao oh no no no
user wtf

do you play games with the screen facing away from you?

That dpad looks shit
dropped

>Etadyalp
No.

youtube.com/watch?v=d8ucKyH0eVw

No. But I play a controller with buttons facing away from me.

Doing an EWGF on that would be fun.

Crank that Gameboy.

I actually kind of like the idea
I just wish they had gone all in on it. Instead of just a crank slap every crazy input device you can think of on it. Thumb wheels, a trackball, a pressure sensor in the case to detect squeezing it, an optical mouse sensor on the back for dragging it around on stuff, just everything you can get a small enough sensor for to fit in the case.

and a theremin

that's pretty impressive bro

As long as it's not another piece of shit raspberry pi device that we're good.
