i grew 3 more rows below it afterward in the same formation and they grow fine, and then i grew 10 more bamboos yesterday and they grew fine as well

Honestly, it just boils down to how lucky you get with the plus miles. Shit like "catch a stinkbug" for 300 miles is easy as shit, on top of the rest of them usually. The only one with diminishing returns is "spend nook miles" to get 200. Like, that shit needs to be upped.
