Got this game for a cheap price before the quarantine and since I got a lot of time I gave it a try, it is the best JRPG I have played in this generation, wtf Yas Forums you told me it sucks, are all Xenoblade games this good?

Xenoblade 1 fucking sucks, don't fucking play it.
the same exact thing happened to me. Yas Forums told me it sucked, i got it and its my favorite JRPG of all time. I now never listen to the opinion of Yas Forums
In a lot of ways 2 is actually the worst game, but all three have their pros and cons. X is my personal favorite, and it emulates really well.
I'd wait for DE to play the first game.
There are some people with an autistic hatred of this game on here. Probably my favorite jRPG
Yes, XC1 and X are also really good.
Yes.
What are welsh girls like? Do they give rimjobs?
you lucked out, imagine all of those who do listen to to vee and don't get to experience. It's really sad.
All of the Xeno games are masterpieces.
Same but I couldn't stand xeno 1 for some reason. Dropped it maybe midway?
Im planning to get the remake/remaster of xbc1 and see if maybe the original's ass ugly graphics was the problem
>2 is the worst
here we go. Idk why you couldn't just shut the fuck up and tell OP all the games were good. Instead you start shit. Fine by me.
2 is not the worst, objectively it's x. A fake fucking mmo, too big for its own good where the mechs are fucking useless, the game is censored to hell and the story is lackluster. kys xfag.
Yes. They’re all great, but different. All worth playing for hours on end.
Only downside is that 1 and X don’t have a character this perfect.
X1 does though
Based Xenochad
>consistently great and varied mecha designs
>every title has an amazing soundtrack
>gears/saga pushed the envelop of vidya storytelling
>blade manages time and again to have amazing exploration and world design
It truly is the greatest JRPG series
I didn't say it was the worst, just the it has a lot of flaws. In fact, I think it has the best story and music of the Blades. But it was clearly rushed with inconsistent story presentation, some weak character designs, gimped exploration and environments compared to X and even 1, technical issues on release, and other questionable design decisions like gacha and field skills, and the removal of a real affinity system.
X also has issues like the post-game grind, underwhelming story and some shitty quests but I can more easily forgive those. The game as a whole just feels a lot more ambitious, with its massive and open world and focus on side content.
Melia is basically the XB1 equivalent of Nia, and she gets a lot more focus as well. Hell, there's about to be an epilogue with her as one of the focuses. That comment was wrong, ano
>I think it has the best story and music of the Blades
I stopped reading there. I no longer hate you and take it all back.
based xenosenpai please teach me your ways.
should i play all the games in order? is there anything I need to know before starting xenogears?
to me it's
1>2>X
mostly for combat reasons in each. X took on too many features with soul voice.
Well for me, it went like this
>brother was a huge xb1 shill on release, but I never played it
>bought me X since nobody else he knew owned a wii u
>took me awhile to get into it, but eventually it grew on me and I put in 150 hours
>buy a switch largely for xb2, reminds me why I fell in love with the genre to begin with
>emulate xb1, thirsty for more
>buy and blaze through gears and the saga trilogy in the span of a few months early last year
I'd say start with XB1 or XB2 since they're the easiest to get into. From there, if you want more gameplay get X, for story play Gears. If after that you want more of the same, go to Saga.
Always do the opposite of what Yas Forums says duh are you fucking new?
I don't know why you guys get so hostile. It feels like a waste of energy. That being said, I would love to see X get a complete reboot, or definitive edition. X has a lot of potential, but I do think it's the most inherently flawed of the Blades, because the original vision was lost.
>All of the Xeno games are masterpieces.
not saga1/2
Nobody likes X xfag.
This. I listened to Yas Forums, and now my girlfriend is pregnant, and I'm busting my ass
Saga 2 is pretty much ass, I don't think anyone can disagree that, but it has some combat charm. Saga 1 was a borderline movie, but I still loved the story and characters
I'm hostile because the people who don't like XC2 are those who didn't finish the game. I am confident that anyone who has actually completed the game cannot hate it. After chapter 5 it game rockets in writing. That being said, an X reboot/remaster would be amazing and I'm all for it.
I never told you any such thing.
It has it's issues but it's still pretty good. Though factually less so than you're implying. One of the best I guess is an okay designation but certainly lower in the top 5. As for the others I guess I'll let you know in May because I don't own knock off PCs and therefore never had Wii or Wii U.
>Genuinely think that X is an absolute masterpiece of soundtrack+world+gameplay+graphics.
>X fans became the new Majora's Mask fags.
Alas, truly a tragedy. But holy fuck it's cruel how such a excellent game is trapped on the Wii U.
Honestly it took me awhile to get into XB2, but I like it a lot now. You don't unlock all your combat mechanics until Chapter 3, and all your party members until Chapter 5. On top of that, I have strong feelings against the Gacha, but meh. I thought the story was great from Chapter 5 on, but I hate Bana returning, and killing Niall. Dumb as fuck. Also fuck Pneuma not keeping her form in the end.
>Xfags are the new Majora's Mask fags
What in the ever loving fuck does this actually mean
I love both though, so whatever
>trapped on the wii-u
i played the whole game on my pc :) it lives
>trapped on the WiiU
do you even CEMU?
Although X is my favorite, this is my stance as well. There's so much potential there, given what we've seen from both X itself and everything that was cut and mentioned in the artbook. I love 2, but it signifies a shift away from that direction in a lot of ways.
I feel your pain user. At least it emulates well.
Saga 2 gets way too much hate. The story is weak compared to 1 and 3, and the new character designs and VA are awful, but aside from that I legitimately liked it more than the first game. I thought the battle system was better and enjoyed having music during gameplay.
Best standard battle theme in the trilogy too: youtube.com
I didn't like persona 5 that much, aside from that JRPG which others are on the level and scale of Xenoblade 2?
>XB1 has a great start but the story gets kinda shit towards the end
>XB2 starts rough but ends really strong
>X basically has no story but the sidequests are great, while both 1 and 2's sidequests are awful
God I hope XB3 can mix the strengths of all of the previous games into one. I really hope they improve the sidequests specifically to be more like X's.
Dragon Quest XI if you enjoy old-school styled RPGs.
So I preordered four copies of xenoblade de and my dad found out and asked me why i bought so many....he was super pissed. I told him we need to push the game to 5 or 6 million sales so we could continue to get more and nintendo would make it a pirority...he got super pissed and made me cancel all the order until I threatened suicide. He called me a faggot and now he's on the phone with someone probably getting ready to kick me out to take me somewhere
It's being shat on here because it's too "weeb" compared to XC1 and X, and it also has some faux gacha elements that trigger people to no end. But the truth is, none of these are preventing XC2 from being a great game, so enjoy.
Xenoblade is on a level of its own in the world of JRPGs, unfortunately. Lucky for you, though, XBX and XB1 have an even greater sense of scale.
The Gacha elements, and Field Skills definitely ruin the immersion. Gacha because you can't control what Blades you get, or use on which character, and Field Skills because they make exploration a chore. Otherwise, it's a solid game. Story takes time to build up, though. I found the character interaction very weak in XB2. I didn't even warm up to the group until like, Chapter 6? The characters may have more depth in the game, but the interaction isn't on par with XB1.
You're probably bullshitting, but the franchise will be fine. I can't see them falling off unless they do something utterly redundant to jeopardize things intentionally
Gonna give that one a try then, tho I don't like turn based that much for some reason the only turn base mechanics I can get into are the paper mario and pokemon ones
Play the other Xenoblade games, the latest Dragon Quest might pique your interest, and the Trials of Mana remake looks interesting. I'm buying it myself, personally.
>buying into the hivemind
topkek
>until I threatened suicide
I think the reason that the group interaction isn't as good as 1 at the start is because like half of the XB1 party are old friends, while most of the 2 party have never met each other before.
The game has a really long demo on switch, give it a shot. Be sure to play with harder monsters though, or else the game is way too easy.
Hasn't X been consistently the hardest game to emulate? It's much more graphically intensive than every other Wii U game.
2 fucking sucks
I know why Yas Forums likes 2, and it's because it's weeb shit and large titties. I don't mind that, but there's nothing else worth playing 2 for. So, 1 is better in every other way. You know, actually fun. Good story.
X is a single player MMO and doesn't count.
idk it was easy for me idk when the last time you tried was but I just emulated it like a month ago 1080p 60FPS
>but there's nothing else worth playing 2 for
>t.did not beat 2
>t.did it make it past chapter 6
this is exactly what I mean
>are all Xenoblade games this good?
No. Xenoblade X was a big departure from Xenoblade 1, and disappointed a lot of people. But Xenoblade 1 and Torna: The Golden Country are just as good as Xenoblade 2.
DON'T FORGET ME
Nia is only "best girl" according to people who haven't played 1, and don't realize that Melia getting NTR'd is nowhere near the most notable part of her character.
Plus XB2 was focused more on the nations, the state of the world, and politics, so yeah
Nia isn't even the best girl in 2.
I know. But I don't know anybody who thought she was, has played both 1 and 2, and likes Nia more than Melia.
Melia is basically a more relevant Nia, with more importance
I'm having so much fun
play the best xeno game instead
It's a great half of a game.
The only thing they have in common is the "cucked" meme, and not wanting to talk about their issues. But their reasons for that are so drastically different, and both characters have a lot more to them.
But those two are the most noticable things about Nia at a surface level, and anyone who's played both games seems to realize that Melia did them better.
People always say "hah, you didn't finish it so shut up you don't get to speak", but that's not exactly a stable argument. If someone clearly isn't enjoying the game, and they decide to drop it instead of dumping more time into it, is that truly an issue? I understand being an absolute sperge, and spreading a negative image of the game being retarded, but damn. You can't even drop something in peace.
>Melia is favorite fictional character ever
>Main characters are usually among my least favorite
I don't know how to feel about Future Connected
I know, that's why I said she has more importance in the grand scheme of things. From the moment she's introduced to the party, up until the tail end of the game, she's still getting focus, and an entire epilogue arc will have focus on her as a character. Speaking of which, if we were to compare the main groups of 1, and the main groups of 2 directly, I wonder which people would prefer more? The archetypes don't exactly fit in each instance, but alas
If XB3 doesn't have the main character in control of a badass mech, we are indeed going to riot. (Please throw me a bone Takahashi)
melia is lame yes i played both
>I wonder which people would prefer more?
The average character in Xenoblade 2 is better than the average in Xenoblade 1, but the best characters in Xenoblade 1 are better than the best in Xenoblade 2.
>playing the dub
>y-you just have to play 30 hours and it starts getting good!
You apologists excuse Final Fantasy XIII the same way. I'm not falling for that twice.
That's because Melia by far gets some of the most screentime and depth out of the XB1 party members. Fucking Reyn, Dunban, Sharla, and Riki don't really do anything after they're introduced other than like 1 or 2 scenes. XB2 overall gives each party member more time in the spotlight, though Morag and Zeke kinda just hang around towards the end.
That's unfair, you can't compare any JRPG character to the pure perfection that is Riki
KALLIAN DIDN'T FLY SO GOOD
WHO WANTS TO DIE NEXT?
I don't know how to feel about this. I don't think the parties match up properly enough to make comparisons, but I do enjoy both casts. Although, I warmed up to XB1's cast almost instantly, while 2's took me until the tail end of the game to vibe with. It's mainly because there's not enough interaction moments.
I WANT T-ELOS TO STEP ON ME!
