I couldn’t get in to Sekiro but I’ll sit here all day and tell you to DMC5 is a better game than Bayonetta, and I really liked Bayonetta.

I think Bayonetta’s enemy AI is better but that’s about it.

DMC5 turned the series into DmC. Typical modern day wannabe movie instead of an actual game. Also made the game easy as fuck

Kind of. Comparing DMC5 to Sekiro is like comparing a skatepark to an obstacle course.

Yes, obviously. It’s not the Super Fucking Interesting Mechanic people act like it is. Just hold down an attack button while dodging, I don’t get what’s supposed to be so groundbreaking about that.

It allows you to interact with aggressive enemies. Enemy designs make the game shine.

How does it do that? All Dodge Offset does is make it possible to reach the end of a combo string even if you interrupt it with a dodge. The only reason this matters so much in Bayonetta is 90% of your interesting or powerful attacks only happen at the end of a combo string.

Mostly because for years DMCfags have called every action game that wasn't DMC inferior for the simple fact that they aren't DMC and think jump cancel juggling a single enemy is the highest expression of skill in the genre, all while being fairly mediocre at DMC themselves.

Sekiro is trash, Bayo was good but made redundant by DMC 4 and 5 (Bayo 2 fucking sucks shit), only Ninja Gaiden Black was really good, NG2 & 3 were horrible.

Finished 5 for the first time today. Game needed more V, was pretty disappointed that you can't use whoever you want in any mission after the ending.

Install coop trainer it allows to pick any character in any mission + janky playable Vergil.

DMC5 did not exceed expectations and has only tainted the original franchise for many. Not to mention the daily DMC5 threads might have gotten on people's nerves since they were filled with redditors.

Fact is that if you prefer 3 over 5 it only means you have either not played neither or only 5 and suck at it.

Not him but while I do think that 5 is the better game overall, 3 is really damn close and even does a few things better than 5, like physics and the Vergil fights. Also having better writing.

In the case of DMC, very much yes.
I have played all DMCs and 1 & 3 are better than 5. 4's combat is also better than 5's. And no I'm not blinded by nostalgia since I played all of them somewhat recently. Enjoy your DMC meets Avengers flick.

Each game in the series has been pretty different and it makes people argue about the ups and downs. Most of the sandbag arguments come from people who prefer 1, because enemy health was generally lower in 1 since it didn't focus on long combos. The extra health enemies got in later games can start to feel like a drag sometimes since they aren't always threatening.

they should really show bloody palace runs at agdq instead of human difficulty campaign runs. not only is this more representative of what the game is actually like to play, but a lot of the strategies for these floors are stylish as fuck

Most people who say they played Ninja Gaiden actually haven't.

I vastly prefer DMC for its gameplay, but the presentation, sense of scale and music in old GOW games is unmatched. I have very fond memories of that series.
