What went wrong

Not a whole lot.

what was the point of killing the outsider again

Not letting someone decide who gets power and who doesn't and leave that up to random chance instead

You were too powerful
No memorable characters
Daud was a better protagonist
Story is forgettable

The level design reminded me of Thief sometimes though so that was nice

Nothing, it actually still holds up well today

Played it for the first time a few months ago. It's good. The betrayal had some solid foreshadowing. Best girl appears to have survived.
Debating doing a high chaos pkaythrough.

Niggers
Women
Nigger woman

High chaos is more fun you don't have to ignore most of the gadgets and weapons you get

>stealth game
>you can fucking teleport
Having magic powers is a cool idea but holy shit. I did a playthrough for the 'no powers' achievement or whatever it's called, and just the fucking blink is enough to break the game.

It's a good pleb-filter.

Nothing STFU

It wasn't Thief 2

How so?

Great setting
Great aesthetics
Great gameplay
Great audio
Everything else is so shit it's not even funny
by the end of the game I disliked every character so much that the "bad" ending felt like a "good" ending

If you don't like it, you got filtered. You're a pleb. Arkane seems to be good at making them. See Prey.

Retards got mad at the chaos system even though you only get an actual "bad" ending if you fail to kill the last enemy in time. Having the levels change to the way you play was great. I'll admit I prefer low chaos story but High Chaos final level was way more fun

I'm salty because I know several people who shit on Dishonored for the chaos system yet praise undertale for the "WOW YOU GET A BAD ENDING IF YOU KILL" thing

The sequel

This, but also probably they needed an excuse for a DLC

D2 improved on the already-good parts of D1 (Level design, gameplay) but did WORSE in everything D1 could improve on (Story, characters, dialogue, balance)

If you mean "hur dur it's hard"
no

>No memorable characters
Fuck you Samuel is based

Level design overall felt like a step back from 1's DLC with 2-3 exceptions

Undertale gameplay is still fun if you don't kill, you don't just straight ignore the cool shit.

the story in 2 is not good. the hypatia narrative is fucked. so incredibly disappointing going through that level in low chaos.

Not at all.

nothing, its a great game.
you gotta play it more than once, it really shines on further playthroughs

>No memorable characters
Sokolov was fucking awesome

I liked the first one (especially the DLCs) but I thought the second was kind of forgettable.

Pacifist is just a visual novel where you walk right and press Spare in combat, I don't think that's more fun than being whalepunk batman.

because you're comparing the best game of all time with a generic forgettable one. I guarantee you more people on the planet can name the characters in this picture than anyone in Dishonored.

It's all about characters and music. Which Dishonored has none of.

Are you saying that you didn't like it? After playing it for almost 80 hours?

>It's all about characters and music.
Gameplay.

is that nightstalker from dota?

No, I'm just say I'm not some pleb who got filtered
Actually a pretty good game

Undertale isn't a game.

>reeeeee you have to be a good boy otherwise I'll tell on you
literally one of the worst characters in the game

Dishonored 2 expands a lot on what the first did but the objectives, story and characters are incredibly more generic and forgettable. I pulled around 350 hours in the first game but I struggled to pull 60 in the second. I never did a replay of the DLC, every character was ass and so was the story. Didnt pull me in at all.

imagine being him for a moment.
Corvo was literally the citys last chance of salvation, and on high chaos he is pretty much the one responsible for putting the final nail in the coffin of Dunwall.
I would be pretty pissed off as well

>Daud was a better protagonist
why do people think this?

The first Dishonored did well, the second not sure but then they went completely apeshit insane with the third going on full WOKE. Go Woke Go Broke as they say.

Because he actually has a personality.

Corvo in 1 is a blank slate self-insert

why wouldnt people believe it?
Corvo didnt even speak in dishonoured 1, it wasnt especially difficult for Daud to surpass him.
plus he just feels better to play as.

>forgettable
in other words, 100% your problem

That's a little bit of the point i think. Like Prey.

>Had a black character
REEEEEEEE THIS WHY BIDEO GAME BAD NOW
In reality, it's because they tried to jump the shark and went from "I wan't to clear my name" to "let's kill god"

As far as I know that black character was only used very sparingly as a side character. There was no reason to make her the main character of the game besides SJWs wanting it.

Nothing, great game. A bit too easy but try disabling all the hud stuff and doing a blinkless run.

Do you actually believe that those were accurate descriptions?
>you walk forward and press blink on cover

Game is insanely short if you don't explore

>have the perfect set up for an anthology series with every game starring a new protagonist in a new city with the Outsider being the mysterious thing linking everyone
>decide to focus on Corvo and Emily again even though their story was finished
>do a retread of 1's story but with a reused DLC villain as the main antagonist
>kill off the Outsider effectively preventing any more sequels from being made
>we will never see Pandyssia
One of the biggest wastes of potential I've ever seen in a series

Who should have been the MC then? She was the most significant superpowered character in the story after the ones who were already playable.

>Retards got mad at the chaos system even though you only get an actual "bad" ending if you fail to kill the last enemy in time.
Really? I wasn't aware this was a thing. On my high chaos playthrough I just threw bottles at him for fun until he died , and on low chaos I just used time stop to grab the key and open the door without angering him.

How about a new character? Someone else who catches the Outsider's attention and is gifted his mark?
Why do we have to keep focusing on the same small group of characters who keep getting involved in world changing events? It makes everything feel so tiny

b-but you can throw whores out of windows

As I said I only play Dishonored 1, what I say right now is just what I heard from most people. Well and its not too far stretched either. Many devs try to get brony points with the Sjw community.
They fail, they go broke, beg regular misogynist, racist gamerbase to please buy their game again.
I also heard the gameplay was fairly bad, the levels very linear and the story was just copied from the first one.

The gameplay and environment is so good that I will still give it a solid 8. Same thing for dishonered
I agree with this user But still dishonered 2 just like its' predecessor was so fun

>le memorable characters
>protagonist
>story
this isn't one of your vns, you mentally ill incel

Absolutely terrible, inconsistent textures.

Are you talking about 2 or the dlc of 2. Dishonered 2 had better gameplay than 1 and also looked much better. However tbe dlc didn't have a chaos system and was a little bit more linear

Writing is important fucktard.

Dishonered 2 kinda fixed that.

Not in every game, and gameplay will always be the most important thing a game needs to get right

As I said I'm not sure about 2, so no idea there. I'm talking mainly about nignog dishonored.
