TES6: Hammerfell

What do you want and expect from The Elder Scrolls VI : Hammefell??

A good game

I want this but i dont expect it.

Todd

>want
an actual RPG
>expect
disappointment

>just this teaser before f76 failed horribly
>suddenly radio silence from tes6
convince me this isn't because tes6 was a reskin of f76 with same gameplay and micro transaction bullshit but set in another universe

I want some more combat options and faster combat. I expect to get neither. It will be filled with bugs, a generic world, dungeons filled with the same enemies and less skills with even less options to use those skills. I do hope there is more fun verticality like fo4's downtown. That was fo4's only redeeming quality.

im gonna install oblivion again, Is oscuros oblivion overhaul still the best overhaul? What other mods would you recommend?

Lol that’s exactly what it was.

>want
I want them to scrap the old ass engine.
>expect
I fully expect them to use the old engine and the game to be total trash.

friendly reminder game will take place in morrowind

Nothing.

It wont be total trash. It will just be a dumpster fire that modders will put out.

we already did morrowind how new are you?

I expect it to be shit, running on their ancient engine, with lots of Skyrim assets.

$25 mods and badly implimented online play

Two provinces instead of one: High Rock and Hammerfell is easily the best combination for wide range appeal but also because the provinces are genuinely interesting.

Add ships, managing a home in your ship, recruiting other members, become a pirate or an explorer, etc.

Light survival mechanics that are only very noticeable when in extreme climates. Wrothgar region in High Rock and the Alik'r region in Hammerfell.

More ways to be a villainous character outside of Daedric quests, randomly murdering people in cities or betraying everyone who comes to trust you. Add in the option to become like those mid tier enemies, a bandit chief or the head of a small coven of vampires/werewolves. Give the option to actually go on raids on these locations and then go back to your hideout and level up your skills by feeding on many bodies. Recruit others in secrecy and convert them to your fucked up ways.

More variety in quests and the conditions for activation. If I lead vampire raids on a specific city often, a bounty should eventually be placed on my head. If I still commit to successful raids there should be a Vigilants of Stendarr type group that finally start looking for my cave base which isn't too far from the city, forcing me and the others to move to another place to continue our activities.

Make Speech a fun skill. Instead of having it be used for the dialogue choices, what about changing the lifestyle of your follower? Every follower should have something they will never do, and things they will do provided you convince them, with varying percentages required from each follower. Some of these things can't be asked of the follower multiple times because it may result in them trying to kill you or never even speak to you again. On the topic of followers, there needs to be a much bigger pool of them in TES VI. They should make up the bulk of the personal quests, with some maybe being intros into different organisations.

There's only so much modders can do. And it shouldn't be acceptable that Bethesda has been making unfinished garbage for two decades and leaving it for the modders to fix.

A TOTAL REVAMP OF THE COMBAT SYSTEM

STANCES AND STYLE
Melee combat is based primarily on three starting stances, which can be changed in combat based on the weapon you're using, or within the actual weapon you can change your stance:

>Aggressive stance
Your character is wild in their basic attacks, and their power attacks under the right circumstances can smash your opponents defenses, including their shields. Block button is replaced with parry, and your forward mobility is increased.
>Evasive stance
Visually your character has their body facing sideways, and is more elegant in their attacks. Parry button is now changed to a sidestep, with a perfect parry (or sidestep in this case) giving your a clear opportunity for a strong counter attack. Sideways and backwards mobility is faster in this stance than the other two.
>Balanced stance
Defensively the strongest stance. You can parry and block, giving you a defensive option for most scenarios. It is also the weakest stance in terms of attacking potential.

These are the starting stances, with more to unlock, maybe with a master level trainer or from a quest. An unarmed stance maybe for disarming other people and then beating the crap out of them.

NMM more recent updates reads as having a virus, im gonna wait

LIMIT OPTIONS IN A FIGHT
Remove the pause option for fights, or the unlimited healing. Instead, make healing potions actually mean something and have a short animation (where you can still move around but not attack) showing your character consume the potion. Pause option should only be allowed when enemies stop looking for you nearby.

As for the variety in your weapons or spells, you should be limited to a certain amount in combat. Visually your character should be shown wearing the set items they have. So if you set a bow, a sword and a dagger to your options for combat, you should have all those things on your character. There should be a weight limit to what you can hold for use in combat. As for magic, there should be four spells allowed, and with spellcrafting you could have fire spells exclusively that all have separate qualities. So that would be four items maximum for physical items and four items maximum for spells. Potions and other utility items (torch, oil, rope) should take one spot of either magic or combat slot if you want, or no potions and exclusively 4 physical weapons and 4 spells. Stances (where applicable) should also be considered "items" to slot into one of the 8 . So you can have a sword in one hand, and all three starting stances to be toggled between mid-fight.

Using a one handed weapon and spell in the other should not change how your one handed weapon functions, as opposed to having your left hand awkwardly raised whenever you're not using your spells.

3/4

As long as they keep console mods a thing it’s pretty much impossible for it to be a bad game

REVAMP STEALTH WITH MORE UTILITY ITEMS
As mentioned before with things like ropes and oil, there should be utility items that also take up a space in your combat/magic slots. The option to be able to clear most groups of enemies without even being detected should be possible with the help of this, as opposed to plotting out a bizarre method to slice everyone's through from behind, or fall into the stealth archer syndrome. Grappling hooks should allow for going up to places that wouldn't be possible. Ropes for going down places. Bear traps, tripwires, poisonous gas, etc. there should be a lot more creative methods for killing NPCs. The amount of utility items you can use should be as much as you can even hold but only as long as no enemy has detected you, otherwise it would then fixate onto the 8 or less set items you have at that moment.

GENETICS > ATTRIBUTES
At the start of the game you should be given points to spend on:
>strength (more strength = more carry weight and more weapons that can be held at a time, more muscles visible)
>endurance (more endurance = more raw defence, faster stamina recovery, larger health bar)
>magical affinity (more magical affinity = more spells that can be us
>magical resistance (faster magicka recovery, more magicka resistance)
>agility (more agility = faster, easier dodging, etc.)
>personality (more personality = better prices, converting followers is easier, gaining favor with important characters is easier, etc.)

Instead of skill bonuses, have genetic bonuses for each race. So for an Altmer, the boost to most magical schools would be translated to a higher boost to base magical affinity than any other race.

You should also be able to modify your height. If you're a 6ft 6 buff Nord you should find it easier far easier to intimidate than a 5ft 3 Wood Elf. There should be places accessible only to smaller characters. Stances and combat in general should be more pronounced with how big/small your character is.

>we
Ok Todd.

what about spell crafting or weapon customization?

want
>be bought and developed by someone else
expect
>same shallow shit as fo4.

How many times do we have to go through with this before you get the message, Dreamboy?

Attached: 1466091783153.jpg (1062x1062, 495.17K)

todd you wont ruin our dream game!!

Spell crafting should be linked to exploration just like with stances, but in this case it would be attained through knowledge rather than directly from someone powerful. High Rock and Hammerfell is a nice combination for this as well.

High Rock would feature the bulk of the knowledge for most schools of magic in the game, from the Ayleids to the Direnni to the Bretons themselves.

Hammerfell on the other hand would have ancient Yokudan magic that mostly falls under the school of Destruction magic, with Wind, Sand and Rock-themed spells. Maybe even some unique Necromancy options that were practiced in secret by a small sect of Redguards. Some Left-Handed elves stuff as well.

I never gave much thought as to how they would be integrated into th egame, but I do know it would be as important as the melee and thieving side (both of which are grossly underdeveloped). Each spell would, in line with my previous ideas, fill up the appropriate (usually one) slots that can be used for the purpose of making it less harder to min max options in combat.

I cannot ruin something that wouldn't exist Dreamboy.
See you back in the closet.

I just want Spears, Scimitars, and Flails.
Also Destructions Spells that actually scale from 1-120levels.

Based niggers

Delusional. Mainline Elder Scrolls titles for the most part are always based on locations. The only games that defy this are

>Arena
The first game in the series, and used a shitty representation of the whole continent.

>Redguard
>Blades
Spin-off games nobody cares for.

Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim are all named after places. We know there's a very good chance that TES VI is called Redfall, which is far more likely to be Hammerfell, the homeland of the Redguards. Instead of this weird prevailing theory that it's Morrowind (after the fall of Red Mountain) AGAIN after a;ready having a mainline game involving Vvardenfell and an expansion based around Solstheim.

>spears
>non-throwing polearms
>classes
>leveling attributes and skills instead of muh perks tree
>scaled leveling of enemies but only up to level 30

i don't care as long as the creation club wont update the executable file every few weeks.

VR exclusive.

Apperantly the place in tes6 teaser is the actual shadow crater caused in the elderscrolls legends shadowkey
todd even hinted true fans will find the location of the teaser trailer

I expect it to continue to simplify and further destroy the TES.

I want a DIY garage tier live-action intro similar to daggerfall.

>When the kings of the lands learn that Aunt-Hag-on-Hist is up to her old tricks again, they rush couriers to all prisons in the land to look for a hero. They find YOU!
Actually laughed so hard this i also read it up all.
Sadly this will be true tes6 is just waste of time minecraft battle royale blue for 15€

I just want to roleplay a slut finally. Sex appeal should be a trait/perk/stat and there should be a joinable courtesan’s guild.

>5+ years until release
>less classes/spells/weapons/enemies than last time (as usual)
>voiced protag
>cash shop
>even more linear and dumbed down
I'll stick to morrowind

little monkey fellas

Attached: tang mo.jpg (385x231, 45.2K)

>hp is your only ‘stat’
>warrior and mage as only classes
>your gender is based on your class (warrior male, mage female)
>only 2 spells, fireball and healing
>no xp or leveling up, dungeons are scaled down for the player to be badass all the time
>2 hours main story (Alduin is returned again)
>the same model for every sword, armor etc. only the stats are slightly different
>no unique items such Alto Wine or Nightshade, only food, herb etc.
>no guilds except for the Blades and only during the main story
>no horses or carts but you can now fast travel to everywhere by clicking on the map

wtf

An engaging 3d combat system like what For Honor had.
Not this sword flailing bullshit stat game like previous TES MnB Souls Chiv Mord.
Multiplayer would be nice but we won’t get it.

That’s stupid. That just the same “style” but with stat changers. It would be far better if we had an actual combat system and not
>swing right
>swing left
>powerattack down
>left right etc ad infinitum

>want
It getting cancelled
>expect

I was being ironic, sorry.

ook ook gimme skooma

I expect it to be garbage like basically every Bethesda game is and forever will be.

1) Slight improvements in non-RPG elements but not to the degree that it is passable e.i. better combat but still shit compared to most action games.
2) Presents a return of the dialogue system but it is still shit.
3) Ugly "realistic graphics".
4) More meaningless bullshit meant to impress people playing the game early on e.i. Codworth calling you by name.
5) Less meaningful choices or logical choices.
6) Last minute moral ambiguity that doesn't make sense.

Maskar Overhaul is more endorsed and uniquely downloaded on Nexus. About to give it a try myself.

Pete ruined this theory

Why is he such a dick? He could have just not responded, or said something like "Haha we'll see ;)" but instead he has to call one of his own hardcore fans a gigantic fucking cuck on the world's biggest social media platform.

use vortex tard

>fun verticality
What does this mean?
