They also haven't said if they're selling it directly on their site as usual, and if so if that works as a Steam key, and if so if the Steam version works as a Taleworlds site version, if there even is one.

I think all 3 empires start out at war with eachother, as well. At least the devblogs say they are in the middle of a civil war.
Battania has the best archers, and their high tier archers also have decent armor and greatswords.
