Low Ammo: The Game

I’m actually glad they put glory kills in the game because running out of ammo in Doom Eternal wouldn’t be much fun if I didn’t have to watch an unskipable animation everytime

not once did i consider the docked ammo to be a problem, but i gotta wonder. you start with 20 shells right off the bat in 2016, whereas here the max capacity for the SSG is 24. would raising the cap throw off the game’s balance that much?

pirated the game, completed the super gore part and don't feel like continuing. same thing happened with doom'16. there's something about these games i just don't really care about to play all the way through, can't put my finger on it.

pick it up off the ground when it's available and liberally apply the chainsaw whenever you're getting anywhere near close to dry.

early game ammo scarcity is a problem, late game it rarely is.

I can understand ammo complaints in the beginning but later? You have ammo pick ups, you have 3 chainsaw charges, you have fuel pickups to instantly refill it.

what is the logic behind a demon being killed with a chainsaw dropping ammo for every gun, whereas a demon who is shot while on fire sprays armour everywhere?
I kind of get the logic of glory kills giving health because you're ripping apart the demon and chunks of healing meat fly out

It's only a problem when you're new and don't know how to play the game.
Watch someone who does and all those complaints about ammo or glory kills get invalidated since they barely use either and just shoot through everything.

FACT:
You spend less time looking at the chainsaw animation in DOOM Eternal than looking at the reload animation in any FPS that has a reload mechanic and is at least a half of Eternal's length.

Try out the original Doom at least for a single episode.

Start with Doom 1 and 2

Get GZDoom (it's a way to make doom files run well on modern operating systems)
zdoom.org/downloads

And then you need to get the Doom WAD files. You can get them by just buying Doom 1 and 2 on Steam or by just searching the internet for the wads. Whatever works.

When you get bfg marauder becomes a joke. One ss - bfg combo is enough to get rid of him.

You can use cheat codes for that experience.

More perplexed that the best platform mechanic in the game wasn't used in any of there new platform sections but yeah your right.

It's probably a nod to the fact that you used the chainsaw in the original doom games when you were out of ammo or trying to save it up

If you're gonna use GZDoom, keep in mind that it's an engine for some doom clones as well, and the crouch and jump buttons are unbound by default because the original doom games didn't have those

If you run out of ammo than you already failed try aiming

Why is the Online Battle so garbage? It's boring playing as a demon and even less fun playing as a Slayer.
