Is it true that this one is a horribly broken and straight up bad "remaster" with cut content?

No, not quite.
It's not 100% 1:1 accurate, but the differences are so microscopic, that no one but HC fanatics will ever notice the difference.
They also patched this version up soon after the release, further fixing many issues.
It was at launch but it's mostly been fixed.Still I have no idea why you would play this when BloodGDX is free and better.
Because it's on steam and steam is bae
why does Yas Forums love steam but hate gog (other than pirating gog)
It's OK at this point since it's been patched and the most serious issues have been fixed.
But the fan-made source ports are still more accurate, so there's no reason to bother.
Not that user but I'm guessing it's because his friends won't be able to see him playing the game. It's stupid but this is zoomer logic.
steams honestly better
my steam account is an OG 6 digit account. I'm attached to it
There are NO accurate Blood ports. They all have pros and cons.
I want to play the original then
>hate gog
>There are NO accurate Blood ports
This is largely false.
BuildGDX is 100% accurate to the original gameplay. Proof:
youtube.com
I've never played Blood, is it any good?
Then play BloodGDX
It's good but largely overrated. The enemies are hitscan and it's fucking cancer.
What about NBlood?
Well yes it's accurate but perfomance fucking sucks. Even Nblood does that job better
I thought it was great but I just enjoyed fighting the cultists a whole lot
Pros:
>fun weapons
>dynamite tossing is fun and mows down enemies
>enemy designs have their own quirks that necessitate strategy
>good maps with lots of horror homages
Cons:
>Wafer thin story
>hitscanners are cheap and annoying
>difficulty turns on a dime
>bosses are pushovers
It's alright, but the fan-made Death Wish campaign is legitimately the best Build game, imo.
>but perfomance fucking sucks.
u wot? BloodGDX runs great
>>Wafer thin story
lets be fair here when's the last time anyone cared for the story in one of these fps
You just a pussy. I completed the game on well done without a problem
I know but still
>Cons:
>Wafer thin story
I never said it was hard. I said it was cancer. Having to toss TNT around every corner gets repetitive as hell and frankly it's boring.
You have to get good to avoid projectiles in Doom, it's a skill. You can't get good with hitscan, it's not a skill, it's luck.
When you loading custom maps such as Death Wish or Bloody pulp fiction. Sometimes fps just starts dropping to 23
Excuse me?
>"it's expected to be there, but it's not really important"
>blood II
I heard it's shit
Well i usually spray them with Tommy gun thing is that when you firing at them they just can't shoot you. Also i reccomend killing them very quickly that's my favorite tactic
I use both
All Remasters are broken. It takes effort to not make a broken game, and the only reason companies make remasters is because they want to make money without any effort.
It is but i heard extra crispy mod fixes major problems
Well i hate gog because he don't stabilize prices in Russia unlike Steam
I dunno, man. It has about as much story as John Wick. And at least the maps are coherent enoguh and follow a theme in such a way as you feel like you're progressing towards something.
NBlood is 100% graphically accurate, and VERY close gameplay-wise, but it's not QUITE on BuildGDX's level in the latter regard.
Most intense FPS gameplay of all time. 10/10 music. One of the best voice acting performances in video game history. Top tier aesthetics and atmosphere. So many horror references that I'm surprised they didn't get sued lol.
Also, HARD AS FUCK.
So the reason there are so many different versions of Blood is because the source code was lost, right? So are all these ports reverse engineered? How are they made?
Everything this guy says is true. I thought the game was just hype. It's fun as fuck.
>hard as fuck
imagine playing wolfendooms without godmode and giveall
I'm glad you guys like it because no one is gonna make similar games like this anymore
It's not broken. It's not 100% exact to the original but even people who played the DOS version probably would not be able to tell without a side by side
And I dont know what you mean by cut content
You can dodge a lot of the hitscan attacks by crouching.
Give it time, Ion Fury and Dusk both came out recently.
I actually don't mind cultists anymore thanks to dynamite, but Hell hounds can fuck right off if I don't have tesla ammo.
It's a bit bullshit hard, but even with doom eternal recently out I still cant think of any game with as much of a satisfying feeling of smashing the fuck out of the bad guys as Blood.
When you're on a roll, it's just an incredible feeling sending the cultists into orbit with dynamite and shotguns
based pink on the inside player
Weapon arsenal is also easily in the top 10 in FPS history.
larger library
no real reason to use gog
ye
I honestly think the hitscan enemies ruin the game. It would easily be one of the best FPS of all time otherwise tho.
how do their screams never get old
>he doesn't like tossing dynamite around the corner having a symphony of cultist screams and yelps
Players wouldn't feel the need to do that if they weren't such bastards.
MANANAK
Reminder to use custom difficulty settings and set the cultist's accuracy and aggression to low for the optimal experience
>When you're on a roll, it's just an incredible feeling sending the cultists into orbit with dynamite and shotguns
sounds like some reddit shit
Crouch more and be more aggressive faggot
Literally git gud
shut the fuck up tourist
MODERN ARTS AND FEAR BOOKS
MANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
AH AH AH AH AAAAAAGHHHH!
I don't think so. There's won't be satisfating screams, dark humour, lot's of blood in this decade maybe in next too
IT BURNS IT BURNS
IT BURNS IT BURNS AAHAAA
The basic problem with the Blood remaster is that Atari are incompetent dicks. They wanted to re-release Blood, but they don't own the rights to the source code. So they asked Night Dive to make an engine recreation. Which is a shitload of work. Naturally, when it launched it had a lot of bugs. Night Dive fixed as many as they could, but past a certain date/number of patches, all patches had to be approved by Atari, and Atari are ignoring them. They don't care. Night Dive are willing to keep patching the game as long as needed, but Atari aren't giving them the green light. Which is a shame.
