I need a horror game. Please give me a GOOD horror game. I already played every single essensial game I need MORE! It doesn't need to be AAA, indie is ok as long as it's not another run sim

The convenience store

>the suffering

>The convenience store

>huh what is that?
Not same guy buts its some PS1 graphics game where you work in a japanese convenience store at night while horror shit happens

I would recommend World of Horror if you like Junji Ito / HP Lovecraft style stuff but its more "Horror themed" then actually scary

>mom found the worm pole

>World of Horror
I really want to try it

imagine the feeling of having your whole body covering in creepy crawlies as they skitter and squirm over your skin and crawl into your various orifices

SCP: Containment Breach has extremely well done sound design, probably one of the scariest games of all time. It can, however, get a bit frustrating due to its slightly cryptic nature.

Underhell is a massive HL2 mod still in development, but has its first few chapters (prologue + chapter 1) released. It's probably the most ambitious mod to exist for the franchise. It plays more like an action-horror game at times, but the game has two sections: Mansion and Story.
Mansion section is your hub where you can interact with stuff in your house and advance the story. This is where most of the horror stuff happens as you uncover your past.
Story section has a focus on action, but then evolves into a survival-horror game.
Don't bother waiting for an actual full release, the mod really isn't short and the devs are working on other stuff.

There's also Nightmare House 2 (another HL2 mod), which is less subtle in terms of horror elements, but still feels professionally made.

Lastly, Darkwood.

SOMA

>Blowfly girl

based insectchad, there's way too little of that stuff out there

nice sugestions user

Playing Lost in vivo rn and I'm having a blast

Pathologic 2

the lion king makes me think that that is delicious

World of Horror is terrible, the story of the scenarios is bland and the combat is terrible. The key to success is meta-knowledge of the random events, for example not talking to the disturbed patient unless you have high Charisma and can spare 2 health if you fail the check.

there are no good horror movies
jumpscare games? yeah, but not horror

>Darkwood
seconding this.

?

horror games are shit
games with horror elements are good
so subnautica is good
half life 2, good
and that's it

is it good?

Please leave.

What the hell is this exactly? To be more specific what are those black things? They have legs, are they beetles? The other things are worms

>half life 2, good
not scary and not good either

Probably saving themseves from the flood

wrong on both accounts impressive!

It's only the best pure horror game that I have ever played. Don't go into it expecting intense gameplay because it's mostly exploring and puzzle solving and occasionally avoiding an enemy. It's not survival horror if that's what you are looking for, but it's my favorite horror game.

how do we SAVE the horror genre?

Subnautica

SOMA is the most underrated horror game I've ever played. Made by the amnesia devs and got no attention cause it's not streamerbait. Some of the best character writing I found in horror games, up there with silent Hill

incredibly cursed

It has no "salvation" because it is a nitche genre. .

based

soma is shit and deserves to be forgotten

FUCK OFF

imagine running your fingers against it

What am I looking at

if you put something around it, could the horse recover?

its obviously a horse hoof thats lost the surface, you grew up in the city or something retard?

>underrated
it gets brought up pretty frequently considering how not scary it is, so I'm gonna have to disagree there

????

Most people who didnt grow up in the city probably haven't seen it happen either, not sure what youre getting at

hooves do grow back in about a year, but with an injury that severe it depends on the age of the horse as well as the amount of medical care it receives. putting something over it won't do much though, since the foot will no doubt hurt like hell and prevent the horse from wanting to walk on it at all. usually you're best off putting it down if you get something that bad.

It's pretty much like removing the nail from your finger but you're using that nail to support your foot.
Standing on that would be extremely painful and would get it infected really fast.

ok fancy cityboi faggot

FUCK
THAT
SHIT

probably not, since this picture is of a cadaver.

maybe a different feeling horror, but i recommend Return of the Obra Dinn

the horse is dead you retards

Horse ranchers and owners are part of the upper crust of the farmer community and genuinly are no different that city folk.

ok? doesn't really change what I said at all.

FAITH the unholy trinity. Clive Barker's Undying but that has a lot of action and shooting so it might not be up your alley. Nosferatu: The wrath of Malachi.

i don't get why people keep posting this, it's just a bunch of bugs on a post

It would be extremely painful

Story, atmosphere, and voice work are all top notch. Gameplay is subpar.

It's amazing existential horror though, if you're into that.

games where you can romance worms? the scene in teraurge is literally perfect i just want more romance games with worms
