B stories have been cut, besides entering the RPD from the back it's the same puzzles.

No difference between Claire and Leon's campaigns besides a few rooms, they now solve the same puzzles and fight the same bosses.

Enemies are now bullet sponges, leaks show zombies can get up from 10+ headshots.

Extreme battle mode is no longer in the game, completely removed

i bet if the game was actually like 14+ hours long people would complain too. theres only about 5 hours worth of material in the original game so they'd have to start pulling a SUBSTANTIAL amount of new material out of their ass to make it the length people seem to want. the only new major story material in REmake 1 was Lisa and, i mean its cool but it doesn't have much of an overall bearing on the story. once you push the stones in her encounter, she picks up her mothers skull and just fucks off and then thats it. i don't even think she's referenced at all by Wesker or anything, but its been a while.
imagine how much entirely new story content they'd have to come up with for REmake 3 to justify a much longer game run-time - i would imagine it'd be enough to the point where the purists complaining about everything that was cut would likewise shit on too much new stuff making it unrecognisable as RE3 as well.

Umbrella is a huge city with forests, rivers, university, hidden laboratories everywhere. It wouldn't be difficulty to make a 15 hour game with all the content you can find Raccon city, in fact the remake is missing the park and the Dead Factory, the game ends at the hospital now, so it has less content than the original.

They expanded the dead factory into a NEST 2.0 that is much larger than the lab in RE2R according to leaks.

for best ending, if you follow the carcinogen videos, you could actually even easily pull a sub one,there are more enemies in one level of serious same than in all of the original RE and once you pass the aiming / path gating, the game is not that hard

i can't believe peoples expcect a RE game to last more than 7h on standard, on expert i expect the game to last 12/20hours if first playthru tough, depending on how they set the nemesis AI and how much barrels do they actually leave in the game

We're probably dealing with people whose first RE game was 4 or released after 4. And even 4, being the 9 out of 10 game it is, is a little bloated.

RE7 takes 6 hours to complete on your first playthrough and the final chapter of that was a molded massacring cauldron.

too bad there are none in this demake, they even had the AUDACITY to remove the water sample puzzle (aka the hardest puzze in the series)

even 4 is short as fuck once you find out the player traps like the cage or the claw dudes, the weapons being OP and leon being dante senior help in making it even easier , on NG second playtru i got mid game in just 2h, kneecaps are op in this game

finished RE1 director's cut last night

RE1 has 2 characters with mini side sections
RE2 has 2 characters with 2 different routes with 2 different mini side sections with a small mercenaries minigame
RE4 is a much longer game and has multiple weapons and intricate mercenaries mode
CV is twice as long as RE3

RE3 has a side section with a mini mercenaries and "choices" that only affect the next 2 minutes

Why are you defending RE3? It's objectively the least replayable of the main titles
