Its definitely better than Galaxy 1 & 2, it's better than all the yearly cash grab Super Mario Something or others, its better than all the pixel/2D games, it's better than all the party, racing, RPG, ect games.

I loved the shit out of it, and I NEVER buy Mario games because I've always thought Mario games were boring.

There's 3 mario games I've ever liked to the point of buying them; Super Mario World, Mario 64, and Super Mario Sunshine.
Super Mario Odyssey was better than all 3 of them.

DQXIS is probably the closest to a 10/10 the Switch has. The fact it's stuck at 30fps and low resolution is a significant hitch though.

What's even coming out? Bravely Default 2, Xenoblade, NMH3, Deadly Premonition 2, and that's about it, 4 exclusives for the entire year. It's highly unlikely anything they announce in June is gonna come out by christmas. Who the hell is gonna buy a Switch when the hot new Playstation and Xbox are right there?
At best they will rush BOTW2 to have something big to sell on holidays.

But they aren't right there: they're only coming out near the end of the year, and we don't even have any known launch titles despite both consoles being formally announced (I don't remember if Halo Infinite is going to be available at launch).
PS4 has two major games this year (TLOU2 and Tsushima) and not much else, while the Xbone has literally nothign.

I'd say this one is closer to a 10/10. I'm not partial to playing tons of platformers, let alone 3D platformers myself but I think it nails a pretty golden mix in terms of gameplay variety, challenge (particularly optional challenge) and player feedback and level design.
I think it does have some issues, like distinguishing the harder moons from the easier ones and the number of moons needed to get the 'true' ending but for its genre, it's very similar to Bloodborne for me: not breaking the mold as much as it's presenting a near perfect version of the genre's core aspects.
Though like I said, I'm not partial to platformers and digging around for the last few moons for the true ending was kind of a bummer so 9/10 as well

Turning the weather and topography and various local entities into tools for combat and survival, as well as having combat involve more interaction with the environment made me get far more inventive with exploration and enemy engagement than most other action games.
If BOTW2 can give the story more decent meat, It'll probably be a 10/10 for me

Maybe if it's your first action RPG. Bloodborne is pretty good but it's in the same vein as DS, just faster with a couple more options available at once. But ultimately there are weapons and sidearms that you can use that will trivialize combat and others that you can use to make it actively more difficult. Implying there isn't a way for shitters to make it through the game is being facetious.
Similarly, there are about 130-150 actually difficult moons to grab in Odyssey among the ~900 total ones. The biggest issue Odyssey has is that it doesn't highlight these more difficult challenges for players and so it's more of a surprise when you stumble upon them
