Can you solve this puzzle?

Can you solve this puzzle?

Attached: 1580946011908.png (400x600, 339.7K)

None

the fact that you can do both
I + X = XI
and
I + IX = X
makes me think there's a better way so is correct

But can you figure out why?

I = XI - X

Turn it upside down and it becomes X = IX + I
It's bullshit like all Layton puzzles

That's right! I have about 20 more of these, so let's go through them, shall we?

is this a real layton puzzle? why does it look so retarded?

D vs E F

That's right!

What do you mean, user?

Attached: 64.jpg (2160x1920, 1.86M)

a+d = f+h+e, b+c=g
g+h=g+a, h=a
h+d=h+e+f
Choose d.

Does it mean his son lived half the time he was alive overall or just from when he had his son to when he died?

Half the time of his total life.

1/6x + 1/12x + 1/7x + 5 + 1/2x + 4 = x
3/4x + 1/7x + 9 = x
25/28x + 9 = x
3/28x = 9
x = 84

84

Excellent anons! Equations sure do make things a lot easier.

Also great explanation. Here's a (You) for your troubles.

This bitch want to pull out some Layton tricks, but lacks the skill

Tvelve metchsteeck

25

It's a 5x5 setup, making the total 25 gems.

1 real, 24 fake, so probably just 1

That's correct, good job!

While the answer is wrong, I do appreciate creative ways to find bullshit, have a (You).

CDBA?

CDBA?

C
D (Lamp is put on camera building)
B (Orange building is built, diner window is broken)
A (Window is patched, camera building door yellows with age (or is painted), A on diner sign goes out)

That's right! I remember looking at this one on my DS's tiny ass, backlit-broken screen and resolution. Fun times.

Attached: 67.jpg (2160x1920, 2.31M)

E since it's the only node with three edges

E

I HAFF TVELVE METCHSTEEK

A fellow Königsberg man I see. Excellent work, let's keep going.

Attached: 68.jpg (2160x1920, 1.79M)

I'm going to guess 135

I'm sorry but that's not it.

Attached: 1557959315294.png (1150x1080, 1.19M)

well I was barely trying so I understand. On a second glance this better not be some layton bullshit "oh we meant the cube's internal angle xd" and the answer is 90

Would you like a hint?

Attached: 1563116293172.jpg (1080x2147, 449.48K)

I got 120 with the law of cosines, but I'm sure there's a much more elegant solution

I + IX = X
its a valid equation and in the context the words are written it should qualify as a correct answer

Thats moving 1 match
the answer is 0,because if you look at it upside down it is correct

oh misread. the fewest number of matches you would need to move is 1 then

That's it! It still needs some knowledge of geometry, but simplicity can be elegant as well.

Attached: 69.jpg (2160x1920, 1.37M)

No its 0
you don't need to move any matches, just perspective of the matches

also i would like to add that you are moving the matches if you flip the problem upside down. Since the matches are directional (head is up stick down) you cant really flip them truly without moving them all yourself

look here

1

1? The die should have 4 on the top face and 5 on the right, and if you compare that to the top right die, it would be 1.

oops meant look here xdddd

You don't need to flip them upside down, you just look at them from the other side of the table

Its a riddle user, its literally a trick question.

It's either one or six, assuming standard layout.
I'm going to guess six.

Four is the top, two is outward and away, the front face is one.

you didnt read my post. my stance is that the answer is invalidated because the matches are directionally dependent
>match head is up, stick is down

I + IX = X

cmon bro

Sharp thinking!

Attached: 70.jpg (2160x1920, 1.48M)

user, its a riddle. If you don't like this answer you might not like riddles in general, because they're all dumb like this. Its about thinking outside the box more than thinking logically. These questions are designed to trick you into overthinking a simple solution you might have never thought to consider.

i don liek it >:U

1

Nice job user.

Attached: 1562071276345.png (1080x948, 391.86K)

flip the screen upside down user, you can make the equation work by moving zero matches

i beat you to it but all the anons are saying im wrong bc its a riddle and im overthinking the riddle and that its just a riddle.

0.
Three of his answers differ from Lisa's.

No, you're wrong because moving 1 match is more moves than moving 0 matches.
You fell for the trick answer, riddles usually have an 'obvious' wrong answer that people think is correct, only to feel silly when it turns out there was an even simpler solution.

60?

Attached: Incorrect.jpg (1080x2340, 196.88K)

Three out of 1, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are the ones Mary got wrong.
The rest you can tick if he got the same as Mary

2, 5 right 4, and 10 wrong.

He either got 4 right, or 6 depending on what the answer to Q 9 is. Dan only got 1 out of the 1 3 6 7 8 9 qs wrong, no idea which.

I'm guessing he got 6/10

Wait actually I think it might be 40

NO YOURE WRONG BECAUSE THE MATCH STICKS DONT JUST FLIP UPSIDE DOWN IF YOU LOOK AT THEM DIFFERENTLY. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

>501022351
Now that's 99 picarats well earned. Too bad you changed your answer, huh user? nah just kidding, here's a (You)

Attached: 71.jpg (2160x1920, 2.09M)

*they down flip they mirror. also you cant mirror them by looking at them differently either

>all the matchsticks fall off
GOD FUCKING DAMNIT LAYTON YOU TOP HAT WEARING PIECE OF SHIT

**DONT

I guess C since it eliminates two odd-degree nodes same concept as

A does as well, the difference is that no one said the ant can't walk on the floor too so the ones on the ground aren't a problem

We gotta talk about the ant, does it have autism?

What the fuck is this bullshit?

Attached: 1438302015220.png (200x200, 80.35K)

That was a different user, 2 of us guessed.

As for the cube I think is based on the no more than 2 nodes having an odd number of vertices. the one you start on and the one you end on, so I think it's C

Great work.

I don't know, there is an article about it if you Google "can ants have autism".

Attached: 72.jpg (2160x1920, 2.14M)

Oh no, here's a well deserved (You) then.

Attached: 1556411226304.png (1920x1080, 1.11M)

C
A+E=B+D

That's Layton user. Welcome to hell.

>Ants and autism appear to have little in common — but appearances are deceiving.
Oh

I fucking hate these types of questions are they really in the game or is this just a meme from some website making these high IQ questions.

Attached: 1579330536806.png (697x624, 256.81K)

>love the layton artstyle
>cannnot get into the game because I'm a smoothbrain
