Why flying wyverns are so fucking annoying? dear god
Monster hunter

Because World completely ruined flying wyverns. You used to be able to send them crashing down by simply hitting the stagger threshold.
I don't know, why is Raging Brachydios the most annoying Monster on the fucking planet?
Because you forgot to slot blast resistance into your DEEPS build.
>Implying that skill isn't literally mandatory for the fight
Still annoying, my guy.
>inb4 "no it isn't, you're just bad"
I mean flashpods are a thing man
Master rank neutered flash pods. Excessive-flying monsters like Rathalos and Shrieking Legiana are cancer as a melee user.
>Just flinch shot them lmao
Doesn’t work when enraged.
My point is you didn't need to bring flash bombs prior to World. Now in Iceborne, if a monster flies right after you flash it you're shit outta luck.
>flashpods on current MHW
I hate ranged but i've made several HBG and LBG builds including sticky aquashot just to fuck them up
If not that i'm just using ZSD swaxe to murder them because i don't have patience for their faggotry
>SnS can tenderize just by doing the clutch uppercut twice without even using the CC attack itself
Annoying to you perhaps, I had fun.
Can we just remove the tenderize mechanic?
And the clutch claw while we're at it
Slinger drops, wall bounces and clutch claw ZSD are all fine. It's just the the tenderize mechanic that ruins not only the tool but also the entire expansion.
>Old MH
Flash, stagger threshold exceed, break wings to confirmedly bring them down.
>World MH
Clutch Claw mandatory usage, (1) ONE (UNO) Flash (and in upper master stuff, flash may just make the monster autistically flail in the air instead of coming down), stagger threshold may also make the monster flail instead of coming down. Wing breaks may keep them on the ground longer, but they'll still fly.
In short, old flying good, new flying bad
>People were like this about mounting
>Now the Clutch Claw
It's a necessary evil that adds HP bloat to monsters. Devs have officially cracked the code on how they can get away with making a fucking Yian Garuga more tanky than a G-Rank Ukanlos.
Without it, monsters with shitzones would be unbearable. Being able to hit Luna's head and Brutes feet for Weakpoint damage is good enough to let it stay for me.
Reminder that before people complained about flashing making flying monsters irrelevent.
Now they complain because it doesn't.
>flashpods in iceborne
Shitter that got filtered before MR confirmed
CC wallbounces are mounts that don't interrupt the flow of the hunt and can't be used against enraged monsters. Keep this and remove mounts.
Then fix the fucking hitzones then. Capcom shouldn't have dicked with hitzones in the first place when vanilla World turned the game into Piñata Hunter.
have you thought that maybe monsters where over half their body are shitzones is shit design
i mean from one game to the next they made glavenus one giant shitzone and it feels like it was done solely to make tenderizing relevant
imagine defending iceborne's shit decisions
Well how did players and autism TA-ers do it before the clutch claw and tenderizing?
>Oh yeah, decos weren't cancer to get and builds were almost easier to make on principle.
>Also, reduce all Master Rank monster HP by ~35% and you got it balanced.
Flinch shot when unenraged, flash pod when enraged, mount when enraged
Use whatever is available to knock them down
All the crown events are out. You did get your platinum, right Yas Forums?
It's BECAUSE of the fucking Clutch Claw that shitzones are being so incentive-made and prioritized in design. I don't even think people bitched about hitzones nearly this much prior to Iceborne, minus pierce fags and tail-chopping/head-hammering chads.
Some Monsters have always had bad hitzones though, is the thing, that's kinda the point of what I was saying.
Either they make every monster easier to handle at base, or they add a mechanic that does it for you.
All I need is Large Gold NORMAL Nergi, which is proving impossible even though I can murder them in under a minute and a half.
Just balance it differently, make it so that flashing stuns flying monsters for less time but puts a cooldown on them before they can take off again so they're forced to fight on the ground for a minute or two.
Hitzone being bad was always a topic in Monster Hunter because some monsters have just always had bad hitzones, lmao.
No and I don't really care, if I'll ever get a platinum it will be completely accidental.
Nerg's a bitch because he doesn't have any easy measurements. I got both on mine in the streamstone grind. Just keep at it, you'll get it eventually. At least you can measure them to see if there's even a chance of being big. Should cut out half your hunts.
I'm pretty sure that's literally what they did. Monsters can't fly while blinded, and also they just can't immediately fly a few moments after being flashed, although I think that was even in the DS games, so it's not a World thing
Does the elementless jewel work on weapons with a hidden element thats not activated?
What about on poison weapons?
What monster would you keep as a pet?
Assume they can be trained to obey commands.
It doesn't effect any active status or element. So yeah, as long as it's not active it get's the 5% boost.
>Got Nergi crowns easy
>RuiNerg crowns are nearly impossible
Shit sucks
Works with hidden, status works as element for skill purpose.
The element can be hidden. Status weapons don’t work with it.
>Does the elementless jewel work on weapons with a hidden element thats not activated?
As long as you do not activate the hidden element, yeah.
>What about on poison weapons?
Status weapons also count on elementless, so again, unless you have a hidden poison that is not activated Elementless doesn't work.
Besides, isn't it just a 5% increase?
Pretty crappy considering most of the elementless weapons have lowish raw, even in the case where they have high raw they usually have either shit sharpness or negative affinity.
Quru always and forever
>first playthrough of MHFU
>king shakalaka area fight
>expect some dumb silly tune
>its theme is actually good
youtube.com
They should have remade this into a Gajalaka Chief battle theme in the Witcher crossover.
5% attack boost for a single slot is still nothing to shake a stick at.
Bazel.
>wanting pickle to harass you at all times, forever
Does he have a chance of coming back in Iceborne?
In frontier you could pet some small monsters AFAIK. You could even feed them stuff they eat.
Yeah, but its 5% for every hit during the whole hunt.
It adds up.
Imagine fucking a Rathian after returning home from riding on it
>trying to beat Soulseer EX
>just went almost 40 minutes trying to play safe before wiping when he was probably a minute away from dying
These Deviants are grating on the spirit
No, because nobody likes him.
>Pretty crappy considering most of the elementless weapons have lowish raw, even in the case where they have high raw they usually have either shit sharpness or negative affinity.
MR kulve s00n.
Incredibly based
Is this Zorah?
I guess, I'd rather use that 2 slot for something more useful like Guard Up though, unless you want to use some particular weapon you really like and not use their hidden element.
It admittedly has some interesting synergy with Element Acceleration builds though, given how we're getting an Archtempered Namielle soon we also might get some better TEA build if we get another Nami armor set.
They're fine if you use good weapons, EX deviants are just the only fights in the game that highlight weaker weapons' flaws.
You could always take a break and do some G-rank Hypers.
On what weapons it's worth getting ele crit boost on?
I'm thinking about doing it with LS but i'm not sure it's worth it
>MR kulve s00n
She could be getting her own weapons this time though. Either that or Capcom is really gonna have three sieges up at a time.
odog
Rajang isn't fun to fight
It's Fatty cosplaying as Zorah.
Yep, feels good.
I thought I would never bother with Crowns but after getting a bunch passively through the Iceborne buff to crown rates, it actually wasn't too bad in the end.
Could be worse. Could be Silverlos.
Great Girros or Tzitzi
Yeah, I can't wait to see what AT Nami's set is like. Elemental Acceleration is really strong, it's just that the regular set only really works for bows. I still use it for my dragon and water bows, because the Silver Rath set is just too starved for slots for the stuff I want.
It's not gonna be a siege but a 4 man slay quest, and yes it would be cool if they did something fun with her weapons, something other than just having some set bonuses on them.
Raging Brachy is literally the worst fight in the game though.
So glad I got his shit and never have to touch him again.
> I don't even think people bitched about hitzones nearly this much prior to Iceborne
lol hipcheck
Same, I wasn't even going to go for it until I got nearly all of the non-event ones just from grinding great spiritvein gems. The only one that was troublesome was Scarred Yian Garuga and Brute Tigrex, since they're T2 mons fucking nobody fights them.
Yes and no, he's a good challenge but a lot of maps/places on maps are not suited to fight against such mobile and small fucker.
He said hitzones, not hitboxes
>fight this tempered fucker with GS
>annoying as fuck
>fight him as LS
>parries and trips all day
On other note, I'm glad MHW monsters don't have a lot of projectile attacks, this fucker snots gave me a really hard time
