First playthrough I'll be a wandering drifter for hire. Travelling place to place just trying to get by. Maybe i'd join someone after I learn more about the factions and their ingame quirks (for example, you would only know about Harlaus's feast obsession if you played the game)

>implying I'll be a wagie for anyone
lol

I'll be a bandit hunter wandering Calradia cucking the lords and fucking their wives and daughters while they're away.

>tfw no steppe waifu

Battania delende est!

Attached: cato-the-elder.jpg (615x850, 90.8K)

She qt

>early release
>10% discount
>further 10% if you own their old games
>full campaign implemented bar your own kingdom

Lads I'm dangerously hype.

Who are each of the factions based off? I know Battania is essentially Ireland, but what are the rest?

I know the different splinters are aesthetically based on bits of the roman smpite. North Empire is byzantine, west is WRE, south I'm not sure of.

sauce for top right

I really hope that the non-player inter-faction wars are good and dynamic, like a less scripted World State system from Kenshi.
I just want to spend a campaign running around raiding villages and fucking up trade routes and have that actually affect the map and wars that I'm not a part of.

western empire - marc antony
southern empire - augustus as a woman
northern empire - cicero and the senate

vlandia - generic western european medieval society
khuzaits - not quite mongols but some steppe people
aserai - some middle eastern don't know
sturgia - finland

How much content will actually be there on release? I don't give a shit about weapon crafting really but I hope that stuff about clans is in.

just about everything aside from kingdom formation

h the slav i guess or maybe nomads

almost everythyng even perma death and lineage

The clan system has me extremely hyped.
>tfw a humble life with my farmer waifu and sons
>tfw forging a path to glory in our name
>tfw fighting to the death to give my kids a future

Are there details on how that stuff works?

>not fucking their wives and daughters in front of them

Unique Maps for Towns, Castles and Village: Although we plan to create unique maps for every town and castle in the game, it is a rather arduous process to create that many well designed maps and as such, different locations may share the same map during early access.

Quest Content: A portion of planned quests may be missing entirely, and those in the game may be using placeholder maps, animations, etc.

Balancing: Various aspects of the game may be poorly balanced. Parts of the game may be too easy or too hard.

Voice overs: Since the game uses a lot of dynamic text and hundreds of NPCs, we are planning to record voice-overs for only a limited subset of the dialog (greetings, companion introductions and main quest). Some of these planned voice overs may be missing or using placeholder versions during EA.

Localization: Our current plan is to localize the game into the following languages: French, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish (Latin American) and Turkish. Other languages may be added later. During EA, localizations for these languages may be missing entirely or may be incomplete.

Multiplayer modes and features: The game currently supports several popular multiplayer modes, but we are planning to add more modes and features, possibly including ranked matchmaking.

Singleplayer Features: Several planned single player features may be missing or incomplete. These include but are not limited to: full game controller support, some skill and perk effects, crafting, some aspects of sieges, and clan, army and kingdom management.

I can't remember, did they ever say anything about trying to do co-op at any point? I know it's not in now, but possibly later?

>10% Corona discount
>10% M&B discount
>releasing a day early

HORRENDOUSLY BASED

Will this game be released on GOG or just steam ? I want to know how soon it will be cracked

they said if they can do it, they'll do it after release. but most likely it will be a shallow implementation (your friend as a companion) or a mod will do it instead.

I hope we get another RP mod for multiplayer, PW was fun as hell, even if there's cunts that are full of themselves you still have the chance of joining another army and kicking their teeth in.

alright, thanks for the clarification.

full MGQ 1 conversion of bannerlord i can die happy after i see this

I just want Warsword Conquest 2

>20% off a day early
how do I sleep for the next 40 hours

here you go: moddb.com/mods/ghal-maraz

>tfw people will mod this shit
>modded character traits like in some warband mods
>different inheritance stuff
>better kingdom management
>tfw we could be playing the Warband+CK2 mix we've all dreamt of

Skaven better be one of the earlier finished races cause I want to play this shit

Who else /siege/ here? It's peak fucking goon

>over 100 players
>people pushing siege towers and shielding each other
>using mangonels and trebuchets

The servers are ass for now, but damn if this shit doesn't get my blood boiling.

I'm going to writefag some hype for the Bannerlord single player campaign. brb

is goon a negative connotation

Never played mount and blade. What should I know before bannerlord ?

it'll be clanky and janky

I wish people would just use real words again

Trade and politics are fun and all but the seiges and warefare are what get my dick hard.
No

but blood boiling is negative, like you're mad
you want "blood pumping"

êower ârfæstnes tîma rûmmôdlic dw¯æsmann

Please tell me Harlaus is in the game again?

FACTIONS OF BANNERLORD

We speak first of the Empire. The previous Emperor-Arenicos-failed to choose an heir between his 3 options; his daughter, the choice of the senate, or a famed general.
>Northern Empire
The Empire was born from the Senate. Comprised once of free citizens with the best interests of the Empire at heart, any so-called Emperor ruled at the behest of the Senators-and even then, his power was no more than what they permitted. Over time, ceaseless wars and fickle politics curtailed the power of the most sacred institution the Empire could boast, and soon the senate was little more than a council to a tyrannical throne. Their only remaining power was to ratify the Emperor's successor-and now it seems even that is being taken. Emperor Arenicos is dead, and he has chosen no heir. Senator Lucon has been chosen to lead the Senate in this crisis. Reunite the Empire, and restore the Senate! Restore the Empire to the people!
>Southern Empire
Who better to reunite the dissolving Empire than Empress Rhagaea, widow to Arenicos and mother of the rightful heir? Her daughter Ira is but a child, however her claim to the throne is stronger than any upstart general or scheming senator. The bloodline of Arenicos must remain on the throne of the Empire, lest it fall to disrepair and the shortcomings of lesser clans. Fight for your Empress, fight for Ira, preserve the bloodline of Arenicos!
>Western Calradic Empire
Just as the Empire was forged by warriors, so too must it be ruled by warriors. Garios-sword of the Empire-is the only man who's will may match Arenicos. His ceaseless victories against the Empire's enemies have placed him at the forefront of the crisis, as the only man with the will to defend the Empire against growing external threats. The blood of Arenicos has proven to have run its course. Let the nobles of the senate bicker whilst the Emperor's daughter cowers behind her mother's gown-follow Garios, and restore the Empire to glory!

I don't think this could ever be pulled off and be fun at the same time. In Warband if you've ever participated in an insane 500+ person battle, its a massive meat grinder and total slog. Unless I'm on horseback, I could never tell who was winning because you can't see which side is having more waves respawn in when you're in the thick of it. 9/10 you're suddenly relieved/stunned to find the waves have finally stopped coming in and you've won or your waves have stopped coming in and you're about to get gangbanged. Especially in M&B's formula, I just don't ever see it being what you're probably imagining while still being fun.

The devs are kind enough to give us a 10% discount because of the virus, and another 10% if you already own the game, and are releasing the game a whole day early. Yet, you want to go ahead and try and crack the game? This is a company actually doing something for once, and you want to steal a product. I don't mind piracy and I've done it myself for a bunch of games, but to do it to a developer that offers a deal like this is just dumb as hell.

You can role play as the butterlord and lead Vlandia to glory.

Works when you have battle size set to the moon.

based

My #1 hope for Bannerlord is that this is fixed. Warband was fun as fuck until you get to around 100v100 then the battles got progressively worse and worse. I just really hope that large battles feel more organized rather than sheer chaos.

Meant for

I think it looks like they'll be in better shape. There's a lot more work being put into things like formations and the like to make big numbers doable. There will still likely be big melee brawls but I think the idea is that once you're a big dick lord you do maybe more commanding than fighting.

I will make a wheel of time mod. Mark my words!

>Battania is essentially Ireland
Ewwwwwwwwwww.

Yeah. Ie, loose group of clans/kingdoms and a High King who's ability to actually rule them all can vary wildly. They're generally inspired by western Celts, but there are clear heavy influences from Ireland and Wales in particular. The main minor faction-the Wolfskins-are inspired by Irish Fianna. They're the big-cock archer faction of Bannerlord it seems.

so, it'd obvious be more strategy focused
this means there's the potential for management of:
-sergeants micromanaging their own cohorts
-strategy implementation

so before the battle occurs, you're responsible for the likelihood of success depending on how well trained your leaders are and how well your strategy plays out

so it's more like a simulation game, where you observe things playing out, like dwarf fortress or sim city or whatever

of course there should be the chance to change the battle for the better by assuming control but that should be very difficult from a macro scale (like caesar's heroics in creating a wooden pallisade around a fort to attack a castle and defend from reinforcements)

Celts, not Irish. There were a lot of mainland European Celtic tribes as well (think gauls), it's just that the only real remaining aspects of the culture are in Ireland and Wales.

Vlandia is based off the Normans. Sturgia is based off the Kievan Rus, which was a federation of city states primarily in modern Russia. Aserai are the various North African and Middle Eastern desert tribes the ERE dealt with.

>you and 15 highly trained soldiers vs 20 random bumfuck thieves
>you can literally solo them, so could anyone of your soldiers if you actually play the battle
>hit autoresolve
>3 of your units are killed and 2 wounded

I hope this shit gets fixed

Hoping the models will be more like Grim Age ones.

Good luck, user. 5 years ago I said I'd learn C# and 3D modeling in preparation for Bannerlord.
Here I am having accomplished nothing at all.

I meant specifically that the the faction draws primarily from Irish and Welsh celts, if my memory serves me correctly. I think their King is more or less just an actual historic Welsh King and one of the minor factiors of them is based on Irish Fianna.

Vlandia is the Normans
Battania is the Celts
Sturgia is the Kievan Rus
Kuzhaits are the pre-Genghis Mongolians
The Empire is Byzantium
Aserai is the pre-Islamic Middle East

>western empire - marc antony
>southern empire - augustus as a woman
>northern empire - cicero and the senate
Can anyone confirm this? Sounds kinda stupid.

taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/39
Among the Sturgian minor factions are the Skolderbroda, a mercenary brotherhood based on the (possibly legendary) Jomsvikings of the Baltic. The Finnic tribes meanwhile are represented by the Sons of the Forest, a semi- nomadic clan that practices swidden slash-and-burn agriculture in the depths of the woods.

>based on real world
>stupid
go back to final fantasy and kill yourself, highfantasyshitter

>horsenigger doomstacks torturing me in CK2 and Bannerlord
I am ready

I don't think you know anything about roman history.

It's not as rigid as that. See Basically;
>The Empire was big and cool
>Traditionally it had some republican ideals, the Emperor was essentially just a military commander in wartimes
>This changed over time, Senate cucked out of power
>Arenicos is Emperor
>He has 3 choices of heir
>His daughter Ira
>A prominent general
>An heir chosen by the senate (traditional)
>He dies without choosing

So the Western Empire is basically lead by Garios, a prominent General who claims rulership. The Southern Empire is ruled by Rhagaea, widow of Arenicos and mother to Ira. The Northern Empire is ruled by Lucon, leader of the Senate.

But yes, its confirmed they took inspirations from Rome.

Why?

>Become a Great Khan
>Unite shitty lords under you
>All the daughters
>All the sons
>Scourge of God
FUCK

Western Empire is the Battanian frontier and is ruled by a famous general. Northern Empire is ruled by the Senate's pick for emperor. Southern Empire is ruled by the late emperor's widow, and eventually the late emperors daughter once she is of age.
taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/45
Minor factions aren't the main faction dummy
>The Sturgians are based on the federation of city-states known as Kievan Rus, located in today's Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

The split between the different Empire factions has more in common with the Crisis of the Third Century than it does with the Last War of the Republic.

>potatoniggers in my vidya
I will now no longer play your game.

I am going to play a noble man with a pure wife with humble fiefs which I will run as best I can. Cozy minor noble run here I come!

See these sound much more sensible than this retarded description right here which seems to appeal to people who watched the Rome tv show once and now claim to be experts on history like this gigantic faggot

Yes that’s a minor. The main faction is still Slavic, not Finnish.

But user, you get to genocide them. One of the main factions of the Empire has a ruler who was literally busy doing that when the empire collapsed.

You don't know shit about "history" and can't even recognize that it's supposed to be about the third century instead of whatever the fuck he is describing.

Don't care, I don't want niggers in my games period.

Byzantine setting with Roman motifs, what the fuck is hard to understand

assblasted brit/american detected

Is there going to be controller support? I got warband on PS4 because why not and it felt pretty nice

Can't wait for this. Not sure what I want to do for my first run, but I want to do something to get used to everything. My main goal is to do a Southern Empire run and restore it's glory!

I really hope that they keep the in-depth differences between faction politics that some of the dev blogs implied. The Vlandian one in specific sounded interesting. Basically a simulated feudal system where the lords own their own regions and fight amongst eachother, only coming together in times of war.

Shut the fuck up potatonigger
