Xenoblade. TLOU is for those Resetera types who say gameplay is "problematic" and should take a backseat to "narrative and story." It barely qualifies as a game and the reason journos and resetera like it so much is because they can finish it without struggle as the game often plays itself for you. It is nothing more than a graphical spectacle. I hope to god nobody makes crossover art with that piece of shit.

Xenoblade. Fuck PS4's movie games

The Doom/Animal Crossing thing got old real quick, but that was a meme because "cozy island simulator" and "brutally murdering demons" are extreme opposites. "Remake of a JRPG where the protagonist can see into the future" and "We don't use the word fun when it comes to our movie about a sad lesbian fighting zombies" isn't exactly a hilarious contrast.

I made up my mind nearly a decade ago that if an XBC1 remake with all unfinished content and better graphics ever came out I would be purchasing the console it is on just to play that one game. the fact that switch has other xenoblade games on it is just a bonus, the fact that it has other decent games on it is just a bonus, XBC1 was game of last decade, it's worth it, especially for someone like me who has beaten it 8 times with 5 of those being 100% completion runs.

XC remake. Took me a bit to wrap my head around all the game's different systems, like how the fuck does Melia work, so being able to revisit it and replay it again is exciting.
Actually if they just straight up revamp Melia's AI so she's usable as an AI partner that would be amazing.

Endgame team probably still gonna be Shulk, Fiora and Riki though.

Calling it a movie game doesn't mean it is any different from any other game. The only noticable difference is that the games look way better graphically.

Didn't like the original TLoU and XC is one of my favorite games.

I'll probably play Xenoblade. I didn't play TLOU until last year and that was only because it was free. I really have no interest in the sequel, maybe years later when it's dirt cheap I'll pick it up.

Wait, do what makes a movie game a movie game according to this Nintendo board? Fire Emblem last year had a ton of cutscenes and very little interaction. Hell, Luigis mansion 3 has more cutscenes than every game I played last year, opening doors, adding an elevator button, even finishing puzzles had cutscenes. Both of the games were also piss easy with zero struggle.

From what I remember, last of us was intense as fuck om hard and I died a shit ton via poor resource management. It was also the best feeling TPS ive played in a long ass time. So why is it more movie, because it has decent writing that isnt anime? Because it doesnt have anime/cartoon characters? Help me out. This board is currently praising animal crossing which is less of a game than last of us too.

I will be playing a 36 hour long game of SIlent Hunter 5 to commemorate the German submarine U-37's sinking of the French steamer Marie José and British oil tanker Telena off Cape Finisterre on the 29th of May 1940.

The game will not be paused, time acceleration will not be used, I will be sleeping on a cot, pissing in a bottle, and doing all the torpedo firing calculations by hand.
