How can I fix the steam version? It won’t open on start up

Are you talking about base RTCW game or this co-op mod specifically?

In that case, it's a common problem with older games on Steam. Go to your RTCW folder and double-click on your "Wolf SP.exe" application a couple times. Let me know if it starts up then.

If I had to guess a shot in the dark, maybe you have an older pirated version of RtCW that might actually not work with this mod since it mentions v1.41, the latest build.

I got it off a mega link with old games so that will probably be it. That sucks.

It's my favorite era of graphics too, with the Venom Mod being the perfect balance with HD textures.

open your task manager, go to your processes tab, and look for "rundll32.exe" instances that are taking up like anywhere between like 1k and 4k memory. I know it sounds weird, but those are actually instances of RtCW running on your computer. The reason it doesn't start when you click is because it thinks it's already running (which it is, but you can't see it). I have to end those processes everytime I quit out of RtCW because Steam's version is bugged to fuck on Windows 7. I have to do this for many other old games on Steam as well, like KOTOR.

So yeah, end those processes and then doubleclick the "Wolf SP.exe" application twice. Let me know what happens.
