What was your favorite Colossus?
Hard Mode: Not one of the two that fly
the sword guy
was always memorable to me. I remember first play through this stuck out over a decade ago.
I was getting an image, damn you
Anyone else dislike the PS4 remake? The less fluid animation and mannequin face of wander just really bugs me.
yeah, I actually unironically prefer the copious bloom
I found the scenery and graphics to be amazing, they're almost RDR2tier and it came out before it.
This made up for a lot of the clunky animations so I still enjoyed the game. Colossi were looking great too
I like 9th. He looks cool, shoots laser, and interesting use of the environment to defeat him.
Looks even better than rdr2 to me. Sucks for wander face tho
The sea serpent is the coolest non-flying one.
Just done a ps4 playthrough after 10+ years without playing and I had forgotten how janky some of the mid game colossi are compared to the first handful of them. Fuck #9 and #12 in particular.
The sand snake one is the best by far in my opinion.
the lizard in the colosseum, was really fun figuring out how to beat it
11th and 15th are always the most annoying to me. They shake way too much when you finally grab on.
These!
Horse
Just started this game and have only defeated the 1st two so far. So kino playing it on my Vita using remote play.
Yeah, sometimes I just roam with my horsie with no destination in mind. Everything looks epic.
Playing this on ps4. Why are the controls so clunky and why is the horse such a bitch to control?
I bought the game, should I play it?
Guardian was one of my favs the first time I played through. I remember figuring out you had to lure him around by platforming and loving it.
But let's be real, the bird is by far the best. Even the flying worm forces you back to the ground at least once whereas you can kill the bird in one go in the air.
It's between the water one and the small bull one.
No. You should go the rest of your life knowing you spent money on a game but never playing it.
Colossi eight
Argus because of the deserted city you fight him in
The turtle. Because it brings back that song, has laser, and is the third easiest to beat
The deep lore is that area was the original gate and entrance to the lands
it's alright but missing various important details like the fog and changes in Wander's face as more of Dormin seeps into him.
Unironically, they forgot to add thesoul
This wouldn’t be the first time.
I feel like it’s a game I would like if I got into it but I am struggling to motivate myself to actually get going on it.
Sounds good brethers
love the area but always disliked him because it's just the first boss with a sword, same goes for the 6th colossi who is the first but with a beard
The colossi you fight with Agro are always great
on my first playthrough I accidentally went to this arena when trying to find another colossus (the water one with the teeth on its head)
Pelagia
The last one, even though it wasn't harder than other Colossi, I really liked the lighting, that rainy setting, the fact that he's a huge tower, etc
Dirge was always my favourite.
Standing on top of your horse to shoot his eye will he looks at you with those death piercing eyes felt kino.
Yeah it's cool that he's a tower right next to a cliff (with trenches leading to him). Like, was he a watch tower that became a colossus or was he always a colossus used as a watch.
Cenobia. I loved jumping around pillars while this nigger stalked me from below trying to knock me down. Plus, his design is really nice
Also, you’re a fag if you don’t know the colossi names
Good taste. Pelagia is my girlfriend’s favorite colossi
>you’re a fag if you don’t know the colossi names
They're all unofficial so who fucking cares.
Also has a kino fallen city location filled with lore
Location is just as important as the colossus itself IMO, hence why even though Quadratus is pretty cool but let down by the fact it just lives in a cave under a bridge
None of the Colossus names are real. They're all fanmade names that somehow stuck.
And people have still been using them for over a decade, unofficial or not
Better than calling them “Colossi 2” or whatever you fags call them. Plus, all of the names are kino
that's not how sand works
Where can you read more on the lore? It's sparse, but whenever I find something its extremely interesting.
This. The fallen city location makes Cenobia’s fight all the better. I agree with Quadratus having a cool design but his fight is bogged down by a shitty location
Yes, calling them by number or animal basis is worse than relying on literal fanficiton.
Exactly. Glad you’re seeing it my way ;)
when i got on top of this things back and saw all the moving parts my jaw dropped
Pelagia was really fun.
*snap* You might as well sing Earthbound music with fan written lyrics.
Dirge's my favorite too. I generally love all the fights where you bring Agro with you but Dirge is one of the few where you genuinely need Agro to beat it. I love that fight so much
Stay mad. The names are nice and fit the colossi just fine. Don’t let your autism get in the way, buddy
Flying one in desert.
If it's not in the game I can't give a fuck. This isn't star wars.
Who cares what you think. Plenty of people still use the names while you see the about it
>Who cares what you think. Plenty of people don't use the names while you see the about it
>What was your favorite Colossus?
The one that beat the others of course
Apparently you do. Since not knowing the unofficial names makes me less of a fan somehow.
I kinda wish Wander got horns before the final colossus. Subtle ones, so if you didn't notice how fucked up he was becoming before you would then, after it's too late.
They're beasts of magic
Argus the fucking Gorilla man
On another note, fuck hard time attack. Half the time the AI is uncooperative. Am I just retarded? I barely managed 1 and 3 with some mere seconds to spare. Phaedra doesn't want to poke his fucking head in while in my normal playthrough I managed just fine. Am I retarded? What is up with that?
I also loved the challenge run where you have to run straight at him, not using the trenches as the devs intended
>Also has a kino fallen city location filled with lore
>Lore
Despite there being ruins everywhere, I don't see how any of it has lore implications or anything.
My favorite bit of the game, that is criminally undiscussed, is that deep in the wilderness, well out of the way of any of the boss paths, is a giant tree. fucking massive, biggest tree in the game, and it's dead. plenty of symbolism to unpack there, but no one ever talks about it.
Is he not the horned boy from ICO?
>That shot when you get under his feet and the camera pans to show just how tall he is.
Kino moment.
