I just downloaded Reborn and I think it's pretty fun. I haven't seen anything absurdly edgy yet, and it's reasonably difficult. Why, yes, I did mod in a Ralts as my starter, how could you tell?

At pokemon Red. From experience, pokemon attracts same kinds of autists sonic does.

Pokemon is still fun but only if you consume the fangames and ignore everything else after the DS era.

Let's Go was a big red flag and then Sword and Shield absolutely killed my interest in the franchise. I'll still go back to my old shit but never buying anything pokemon again. Last game I bought was U L T R A sun which I genuinely liked

Last game I bought was alpha sapphire. I saw how pokemon was regressing since xy and how they kept taking out features. I get that they want each game to be special with its own uniqueness but some of these features like a battle frontier were in so many games and ended up being staples, and things like a steady framerates seem like an unobtainable dream now. Pokemon is a shell of its former self and I dont want to support this company anymore.

it started with gen 2 but i still generally liked the games. Then when gen 3 came I abandoned it completely and haven't touched a pokemon game since. I just hate the designs of anything past gen 2 and I hate half the designs from gen 2 even.

Tried my friend's copy of Silver and realized that it's always going to be the same fucking shit with a few new bells and whistles with each iteration.

As soon as I turned 8 and Ruby and Sapphire came out. When I realized it's impossible to catch 'em all in a game about catching them all it was all over.

Got Gold when it came out and loved it too.
Ruby/Emerald blew my mind with how good it looked and how "epic" the story was when I was like 13
Then for some reason I can't remember I didn't get Diamond/Pearl when it came out, and never got around to playing it until HG/SS was coming out, and I just thought "Why would I buy the games I already played but with a new coat of paint?"
And then I looked at it and realized Diamond/Pearl was basically just Emerald with a new coat of paint.
And now we're 15 years after Emerald came out, the mainline games are on console now, and the games are still basically just Emerald with more and more layers of paint.
I probably put more than a thousand hours into gold/emerald when I was that age, I'm done with it.
