Playing the hardest difficulty as Vanguard I typically took Mordin and Miranda for their excellent set of on-top-of-health removal. Miranda out for Grunt for Husk missions. For RP runs on lower difficulties I'd cycle through my bros Mordin and Garrus, and my waifu Tali.

Mirana Mordin is definitely the meta pairing for most missions.

Depends who I'm playing as, but pretty much always Garrus. Miranda, Grunt, Tali, and Mordin are the only other viable options.

Miranda because she provides heavy warp+heavy overload, squad bonuses, and has a nice ass.

Her only remotely relevant power is warp ammo, which isn't particularly good. She's cute but she's awful for actually playing the game.

I find the drones handy at times. Especially in Insanity when you are basically the only person in the squad that gets targeted.

Mordin/Grunt is the best Husk mission combo.

It's true sadly. She has the Adept's kit without warp, anything to deal with armored units and shockwave is pretty lackluster and fails as a detonator due to its range. If she has warp ammo then she can't do anything but biotic damage.
