Just two weeks until Trials of Mana remake is released.
A fully 3D remake of one of the greatest SNES RPGS of all time. Fuck FFVII remake, this is the real deal. People who have played the demo love it (just make sure to play on hard.)
Will you be buying this game? More importantly, will this convince Square to remake Chrono Trigger in for modern consoles?
Yea I cannot wait for this to come out. Currently been playing through the original. Gonna beat that on all the 3 routes before jumping into the remake.
Carson Carter
It just looks like a Tales game, and those bore the shit out of me.
Angel Adams
>two weeks >april 24th
nigger are you retarded?
Austin Watson
>Just two weeks until Trials of Mana remake is released. >game releases on april 24th >two weeks
Logan Robinson
Hyped for both personally. Played the demo and plan on transferring my save over to the main game. I'm gonna play FFVIIR first though. I also had a pretty good time with Bravely Default 2, even if it was hard as balls.
Brody Butler
This is gonna flop mate. No one gives a fuck about SNES shit in current year. Imagine even comparing it to FF7 Remake LOL
I just guessed (they said mid-April), so I didn't look up the exact date since I didn't think anyone would be autistic enough to care.
Zachary Nguyen
>Just two weeks until Trials of Mana remake is released I fucking wish
Adrian Sanchez
did reisz and hawkeye really???
Tyler Gonzalez
She has impressive eyes. Haha.
Carson Nelson
>This is gonna flop mate. No one gives a fuck about SNES shit in current year. Imagine even comparing it to FF7 Remake LOL FF7 will just be Kingdom Hearts III tier story and gameplay due to the director.
Trials of Mana has soul.
Austin Lopez
They all fuck. Kevin goes full werewolf on Charlotte.
Michael Anderson
I liked the demo, so I'll buy it. Only thing is I wanted to play the original version before then (been meaning to play these games for like, 20 years). I just finished Final Fantasy Adventure and I just started Secret of Mana, but I doubt I'll have time to play through the SNES version of Trials first. I did really like what I played of the demo though, so I will certainly play that one.
Brayden Hill
Yeah not sure why Square Enix decided to do that. They should have released ToM in a less crowded month. Or at the very least, maybe not right next to their other Action RPG release which is way more hyped up.
Not so much. Charlotte is your designated healer and can keep a tanky Duran alive. With the right combinations, the team works.
Jordan Martinez
I can't wait. I wish it was out now while I'm (((working))) from home.
Xavier Hall
Yeah, for a year.
Jace Butler
>Fuck FFVII remake, this is the real deal. I like both and will buy both. Starting a thread by shit flinging is hardly going to convince others to pick up the game though.
Nolan Jenkins
Nomura's not writing it, he's only co-director, and he's got Kitase looking over his shoulder the whole time.
Sebastian Miller
Just got done playing the demo, I was surprised at how good it was. The original was one of my favorite games as a wee lad, the remake is faithful beyond my wildest dreams while still making good changes, namely the completely revamped combat system. I can't fucking wait.
Gavin Gomez
Charlotte is basically a cheat code, at least in the original. She can bail you out of any situation and heal your party.
Cameron James
Blame FF7R for delaying. I'm guessing Mana probably has to be April or earlier for financial year reasons like many other games.
Gabriel Brown
That gives this a fair bit of room (in the genre at least) for PC and switch
Henry Roberts
>one of the greatest SNES RPGS of all time Really?
Sebastian Garcia
The only better one is Chrono Trigger, and Square seems determined to never remake it like this.
Wyatt Roberts
For some reason, SE seems to hate the Chrono series.
Daniel Sullivan
I played trials a few months ago and didn't like it. Loved the two other games in the mana collection though. It's weird, I'm old and played all the snes and gb games back in the day but could never get into trials. Had to force myself to finish
Ryan Mitchell
So there’s actually puzzles in this game?
Austin Hughes
Angela c
Jack Sullivan
If I don't die of corona by then, I'll play it. My health isn't exactly good right now.
Jordan Clark
Is it unusual to want to suck on Riesz's tits?
Michael Davis
He implied hard mode does anything, so yes.
Ryan Scott
Hard mode is one thing that might actually be adjusted between the demo and the release, since it's mostly just a numbers tweak.
Matthew Powell
I played the demo and found both the story and gameplay to be utterly boring. What makes this game any good if you have 0 nostalgia for it?
Isaac Fisher
>Fuck FFVII remake, this is the real deal. So much this.
Nathaniel Sullivan
The story isn't exactly a strong suit for the game. It's on a somewhat shorter side for the sake of replayability with different characters and the two class upgrades they do along the game's progression; it's really more of a gameplay JRPG than a plot one, though it's not like the plot's terrible, the demo just covers the really simple openings.
Kevin Martinez
How does her top not fall down?
What are the shoulder pads attached to?
Julian Nguyen
does the snes game look as low budget and lifeless as the remake?
Zachary Scott
As much as I love the faithfulness of the remake, I do wish they made the costumes make more sense. The original sprite makes it look like she's wearing a suit of armor.
I'll probably buy it, but the demo was really bad.
Angel Wilson
I do wonder what happened to that Japanese comissioner who spent literal millions on Lise porn.
Christopher Rogers
>People who have played the demo love it Why are people shilling this game so hard? The demo showed that it was fucking awful.
John Garcia
guess i'll play the snes games then. got a torrent with all snes games. hope all are translated.
James Anderson
IMO SD3 is technically impressive but visually still isn't amazing.
Also why the fuck are the menus so slow
Hudson Cox
Riesz should only be wearing a skimpy bra and Nike Pros if we are being honest.
William Thomas
is it true that this thing is not a little girl but some kind of retarded malformed munchkin?
Luis Wright
Thank fuck they let you use the Japanese dub. I'll gladly take the occasional 'dechi' over the stupid babytalk.
That said, I'm really fucking confused by the renaming of things. Why the fuck is Wisp now called 'Lumina'? This isn't even an ambiguous translation thing (I prefer 'Mana Holy Land' to 'Mana Sanctuary', but I can imagine that whatever the term is in Japanese might be able to be translated either way); you can hear them very clearly say 'Wisp' in the Japanese dub. Also, why the fuck did they bother changing 'Mana Holy Land' to 'Mana Sanctuary' anyway? Mana Holy Land is a great name!
Aiden Jenkins
Coomers devs that's why.
John Roberts
I think some of the localization changes were 'tism induced so they'd fall in line with some of the later Mana localization choices. Which, you know, isn't consistent with the actual Japanese dialogue, but Square-Enix are retroactive tards like that.
Samuel Reed
I think she's part elf? Whatever she is, her body ages slowly, so she's actually older than she looks. So she's only talking like a stupid child because she's a coddled dumbass.
Brandon Wood
No, she's a little girl.
Jack Ward
I hope, because hard is way too fucking easy. Not that Trials was ever really hard
Connor Clark
Which version? Menus are fast for me on pc.
Liam Flores
>Nostalgia I first played it around 2014 or so. That's not nostalgia, unless you're a zoomer, and for them that's like.... half their life ago.
Jose Johnson
>Also why the fuck are the menus so slow In the original? Because of the high-res mode it changes into for them.
Anthony Cooper
Light, Lumina... get it? I don't know. I thought it was for consistency's sake, but I'm pretty sure it was always Wisp.
Justin Garcia
Boob physics is strong for this game, and two of the main characters dress like absolute whores. . Any retard saying they will just play the SNES game is confirmed gay.
Yeah, I know that no one gives a shit about SNES games anymore because everyone is either a normalfag or a zoomer. Doesn't mean I'll enjoy it any less.
Jason Sanchez
Keep in mind that the game is only impressive in terms of its presentation. The gameplay itself is actually pretty braindead since the combat expects you to just hold the attack button so your characters will automatically attack the next best enemy and occasionally press the tech button when the gauge is full. It's also full of bugs including stats and certain equipment types not working properly, tech can be chained, buffs are glitched, etc.
Kayden Moore
>Riesz
Who the FUCK is in charge of this localization?
Landon Hernandez
This is good, user. Remember things can be much much worse.
I wouldn't say it's entirely braindead, at least, not the later parts of it where you're expected to actually use spells, mind status effects, manage resources, etc. But earlier on and maybe towards the middle it is. I'd call the game easy, but there's still a ton of fun stuff to do, like managing your team, and building a good character. The classes are nice too. Plus it's just a fun game to play, warts and all.
Gavin Nelson
But she has no boobs whatsoever.
Josiah Thompson
The SNES version.
This is subjective but the visual style just doesn't speak to me. It isn't bad, just that it doesn't particular grab or wow me.
