>Friend says VR is a stupid gimmick and that only idiots would buy it
>let him borrow my rift S to play Gorn
>Now he's buying a fucking $1000 index
Only people that hate VR have never tried it

yes only good for porn and not worth the hassle
I only tried PSVR with Astro Bot
Maybe it was the game, but I thought it was pretty mediocre: I didnt see much in it, besides holding back level design. Maybe i'm also too autistic to appreciate just the VR effect itself. VR or not, I value the same things I do with other games.
Wrong. I played RE7 in VR and loved it, but have never played another game in the last 3 years that has been worth it - HLA included. Cope harder. .07%
And the funny thing is, the Index Copers can't even play RE7
>gorn was the game
that game is fucking garbage you should be showing your friends blade and sorcery
I like VR but I still don't think it's worth it at the moment. Maybe in a few more years when more worthwhile games come out.
>PSVR faggots think they know what VR is actually like
tfw waiting for trump bucks to get my vr kit
cool i have 2 headsets and don't use them must be because i've never tried vr huh
cope
It does make some games just not worth playing any more.
Like why would you ever bother playing reviver when you can just play H3?
Sure you do faggot
it’s certainly very possible for someone to try vr and not like it
>VR IS REALLY POPULAR EVERYONE LIKES IT THEY JUST DON'T KNOW IT YET
The absolute fucking cope, holy shit.
Wrong. The only people who get impressed by tech demos like that are dumb faggots.
I bought into VR with the promise of actual games from the cultists, only to find that there weren't any. Alyx is probably the first actual game in VR, but it's still just an 8 hour experience I have no interest in replaying.
No, some of us are apostates.
First time I ever tried VR, I was blown away, went full true believer. But over time the excitement just wore off. Yeah, loads of fun to be able to be inside a virtual world, but eventually you want to actually try doing stuff in the virtual world, realize you can’t actually do that much, and eventually get bored.
vr has no games
>Alyx is probably the first actual game in VR
>vr has no games
k
I have a VIVE pro head set and I dont even use it anymore after I learned the only thing semi decent is a ERP sim aka VRchat
It's like the wii. It's a cool novelty at first but it wears off. VR is just going to remain niche, there's a reason why such a small percentage of people play it despite cheap headsets existing.
I love how 95% of these are pure shovelware, and the other 5% are tech demos.
You do understand that I've played most of these, right? They're garbage. The most exciting thing in months that wasn't Alyx is the new HL2 themed T&H in H3, and the game design is still a mess.
>You do understand that I've played most of these, right?
No you didn't.
>They're garbage.
No they're not.
I don't even think you have ever tried VR.
Only one coping is you, poorfag
Has more games than the ps4 and xbone combined
I find the current solutions too pixelated, having a too small FOV and looking around naturally instead of staring straight ahead and moving your head produces a purple fringe.
Wearing the glasses for a long time gets uncomfortable from pressure and if you're a HOTHEAD the'll fog up quickly. Also current solutions are a hygiene disaster.
>NOOO THEY DON'T COUNT
lol
you tried so hard and got so far
But in the end, poorfag sour grapes will always reeee
>B&S
Fun for an hour, ultimately just annoying to play because melee sucks dick without feedback and the dismemberment system doesn't go far enough.
>Gorn
B&S lite, I hated it. Had some weird shit going on with the movement.
>Pavlov
A shit version of CS, which is already a shit game.
>Onward
A shit version of ARMA, which is already a shit game.
>Zero caliber
Feels like one of those janky early 00s FPS games shit out by some ruskies, but without any form of soul.
>Boneworks
Absolute garbage. Anyone who enjoyed this deserves a hole through the head, easily the biggest disappointment in VR.
>Arizona Sunshine
Pretty much a mess.
Do you want me to go on?
It's like posting a list of PS4 launch titles and acting like the system has games. PS4 has one fucking game, Bloodborne, and it's only a mid tier Souls game. VR cultism reminds me of the absolute faggots who used to pretend the 3DS had games. The vast majority aren't worth playing, the few that are are generally only fun for an hour.
>NOOO THEY AREN'T GOOD T-THEY ARE TECH DEMOS BECAUSE THEY ARE VR
Asgards Wrath is better than anything else non VR that came out this year
Why do you keep getting owned, you should be playing all the video games, oh wait there aren't any lmao
I didn't play it because revive never works for me and it looked like pure garbage from gameplay footage. It's always really sad when people hype up these OR exclusives, everybody knows they aren't any good.
>I never played it b-but it's bad
lol
For me? It's good old comfy Bridge Crew.
You are so angry your post doesn't even make sense
I tried it, it was nwat but not worth the price and hassle, especially as someone who wears glasses.
>another damage control half life alyx thread cr after by valve drone
It's dead Jim, not even half life was enough
>VR sold out worldwide for months
>NOOOOOOO IT'S DEAD I[M NOT POOR
lol
I've converted so many vrlets to VR
By that I mean, I've showed them vr and literally everyone enjoys it, but they either dont play games or are too poor to buy it themselves
Different user, Half life alyx is in a league of its own compared to all the rest of the FPS titles I have played. But even HL has plenty of room for improvement.
The vive wands suck, it seems like it would have been more enjoyable with index controllers.
The first game I enjoyed was vanishing realms despite being low budget but it was rather short.
Pavlov was alright to pop into every once in a while.
H3VR had the best gun mechanics I have seen to date but the NPCs are bland. I just mess around with a few guns on a range once in a blue moon with it.
I still crave more detailed gun mechanics even H3VR doesn't fully scratch my itch.
The best experience I have had to date was with IL2:BoS + hotas funnily enough despite it not being designed for VR to begin with. VR is a godsend for cockpit sims.
VTOL VR is decent as well, I was always curios how effective motion controls would be and it is not as bad as I had first thought after trying VTOL. You can change the cockpit layout however you wish in-game and you do not need expensive hardware to interact with switches, throttles and what not.
I hope they introduce better finger/hand tracking with index controllers.
I would be excited as shit if IL2:cliffs of dover gets a VR release with interactive switches using motion controls similar to what DCS is doing.
A mechwarrior-like game that makes use of motion controls and finger tracking to interact with instrumentation would be nice as well. Only one I saw was that spider mech ww2 game.
I hope a good MMO comes out as well with plenty of well done minigames, the metaverse aspect of VR could really kick off if done well. All the implementations so far were too basic.
VR exhibitions and photgrammery were surprisingly good. Really enjoyed VR Battleship Yamato, I hope to see more good quality virtual exhibitions.
JanusVR had an interesting concept but it is too janky looking.
Given I've never seen a positive review from someone who isn't a blatant cultist, I'm pretty sure I'm good, buddy.
I don't think it's possible to play VR for the first time and not enjoy it. But you aren't really converting anyone, you're just scamming them. The reason they don't play games is because there are no games. Normal people don't want to spend the next few years ERPing in VRChat.
>I-If you like it you are a cultist so it doesn't count
lol
I remember VR shooters in the 90s being nothing but featureless grey with polygon blobs flying at you
We've come a long fucking way in 20 years but the game mechanics are still the same
VR is stinky because the hardware isnt designed well enough to be comfy, powerful, and fashionable. It makes your face sweat after extended use and for people with big heads it's very uncomfortable. I'm 6'4 and only play blade and sorcery and it's terrible to deal with wires and the weight of the unbalanced headset while attempting Kung Fu. I hate vr because I can enjoy my martial arts knowledge without the gimmick of video games.

>But you aren't really converting anyone, you're just scamming them.
?
How am I scamming them lmao. They try vr, all of them say "wow this is fucking cool", then say "I want one but cant afford it" or something along those lines. I would say that is converting. Once it gets cheaper theyll get one for sure
>I still crave more detailed gun mechanics even H3VR doesn't fully scratch my itch.
I wish we had a game with shit like gun jams. STALKER in VR would be sick, imagine full on weapon disassembly and customization.
I'd even take something like receiver with a limited weapon pool, it's a shame all we have is H3. The dude put SLAMs in the game this week, but gave them a fucking 1 foot radius so they're completely worthless. I wish we had more fictional guns with interesting mechanics, or just more absurd ammo types as rarities. Shit like a limpet mine gun so you can trap doorways or stick sosigs.
>It makes your face sweat after extended use
Maybe if you're a fat piece of shit, but then you'd need the exercise anyway.
>people are still using the poorfag argument when headsets are cheaper than a console nowadays
Sorry loser weakling you don't sweat when playing robo recall point and shoot teleport gameplay. Masters of martial arts theory, philosophy, understanding need to bend, swoop, duck, dive, jump, swing, move in 360 degrees to enjoy be video games. You dirty, filthy, stinky, white guilt bitch made sucka bitch jive turkey bitch.
>STALKER in VR would be sick
I saw a low budget knockoff, into the radius.
This is the future that awaits you all:
youtube.com
And yet poorfags can't afford them and they always make it clear that they haven't tried VR
>STALKER in VR would be sick
There's "Into The Radius", but it's low-budget: youtube.com
vr is a meme not only because the entrance fee but also because every vr game is market up like double the price just bc its vr
>NOOOO YOU CAN'T NOT WASTE ALL YOUR MONEY ON A PERIPHERAL USED ONLY BY GIMMICK GAMES AND TECH DEMOS NOOOOOO YOU'RE JUST POOR WHO CARES ABOUT THE THOUSANDS OF GAMES OUT THERE YOU COULD ENJOY WITHOUT IT SHUT UP YOU'RE JUST POOR YOU NEED TO CONSUME LIKE MEEEEEE
vrcucks are sad
VR is cool and all but people should really focus more on AR.
Just exercise and lose some weight you fat piece of shit
>the hardware isnt designed well enough to be comfy, powerful, and fashionable
PSVR says Hi
What makes you think I'm fat you lying, misbehaving, mischievous, maladjusted, fart porn listening degenerate?
Ah yes the old "clock near the train track". I honestly believe that most people here are Murican mutts with below 60 IQ.
False. VR games are always good prices
