It just feels like if HR ended once you went to china, like there needed to be another act or something.

try a different playstyle, like trying to get the no-alarm achievement

'>a protagonist of you-know-who who nobody could care less

>Story feels unfinished
it is unfinished, there was supposed to be a trilogy

Why is Jensen’s apartment theme the best sad song of the seventh generation?
youtube.com/watch?v=2cIbVP0W0y8

Before you ask, no your mirror has not been replaced Mr. Jensen

I love how much environmental storytelling they were able to cram into Jensen’s apartment.
The books on how to get used to augments, the clock he tried to build, the broken mirror, the pictures of him in the military, the email telling him his dog was put down while he was in the hospital.
A shame that his apartment in MD was way less memorable

Can you go back to Detroit to your apartment?

What the fuck were they thinking?

Just play the original version. EZ

I'm actually surprised this thread isn't full of retards shouting about how trash this game is because it didn't come out 20 years ago.

but the director's cut is better in every other way

what is the difference between the versions? I haven't played this since it came out.

the boss rooms are extended and offer more ways to defeat them,
better npc models

and the DLC is integrated

Then what is this about the art direction? I played both versions at some point and I don't remember anything different.

I remember that in the original there was a yellowish filter over everything. If I recall correctly they toned it down in the director's cut and outright removed it in mankind divided.

So you're upset at no yellow filter?

not him but the piss filter as some called it gave the game a nice atmosphere.

No. Overall the director's cut is an improvement over the original. Certainly gameplay wise as it offers you more options as well as a new game plus. I personally fall into the camp that the game looked better with the filter turned down.

How did they "ruin" the artstyle?

Why are youtube comment sections so fucking pathetic

/r/ing the Rustlers screencap, I keep forgetting to save it.

all of the art was very clearly designed with the yellow tint to be there which they removed because retards called it a piss filter

I thought the mirror was an excuse because they couldn't do reflections

This is a huge downside. The dlc is stupid and fucks up the pacing

It was too much. Even the devs thought so when it originally came out with all the yellow paint cans in all the environments.

You could just play the original or adjust your tv's color settings

Overproduced AAA Hollywood wannabe garbage with derivative gameplay, laughable level design, and an edgy, poorly-written story.

This. "Piss filter" anons GO HOME.

I wish they'd let us explore upper Hengsha more.

You're more diseased than the chinks

Can't you mod that back in?

satina uses an iphone

deus ex 5 when?

>the lethal melee attacks are louder and offer no tactical advantage to the player as there is no functional difference between unconscious and dead, you also get rewarded with less experience for lethal because the devs didn't understand the point of the original Deus EX
>this means that despite being heavily featured in advertisements, there is no reason to ever use the arm blades the devs put in the game
HOW DO THEY FUCK UP SO HARD

How much money did the last one make?

Only thing I liked about his apartment in MD was the music that played. I really liked that track.

There were a lot of questionable decisions made during the development of HR. At the time though, we were just happy to have a Deus Ex game that the developers evidently cared about, and actually kind of felt like Deus Ex.

Just google "action packed trip to Detroit," you dummy

Based

First set of Detroit missions - 8/10
First set of China missions - 9/10
Return to Detroit - 7/10
Return to China - 5/10
Singapore - 3/10
Antarctica - 1/10
The endings - 0/10

Still better than Half Life though.
