Well it's really easy to reroll for good units and it gives you like 40 rolls at the start, so you might as well try it.

The story mode is a decent JRPG melodrama. WoTV really stands out from every other mobile games by having fully voiced cutscenes featuring VAs you might recognize from anime or games.

The game script is voiced but it doesn't have character voice lines during battle outside of limit breaks. Honestly everything about the game sucks outside of the story mode lol

I'm liking it so far. Rates aren't bad, story doesn't make me want to hit skip immediately, voice acting is good, art looks great, gameplay is fine. I hear its generous from a friend that plays JP, so I don't have much bad to say about it. It even has mp.

Absolutely not. I have a lot of experience with gachas and this one is built after your average chink browser game.
There's a feature overload and almost all of them have pay2win options with obscene prices.
The game makes you watch shitty ad videos of other smartphone games if you want additional rolls.
Combat is super slow and set on Auto by default. There's a speed up option, but I'm fairly sure it's locked behind p2w.
Characters don't have their own stories/episodes/lines/animations.
Main story is silly, with kings and queens fighting alone against random bandits and wolves.
To level up a character you need to roll him several times, ultra rare included.
Everything is called Rare, Super Rare characters being the most common.
Chat is a constant "add me" spam with nothing else.
You can't skip limit break cutscenes and LB's are fairly common in battle.

The only thing I liked were the pseudo art noveau cards that you equip for bonuses, they're really pretty.

What are some examples of good gachas? The only one I've ever played is Record Keeper.

Watching Yas Forums seethe over mobile games never gets old.

It depends on your tastes, much like with normal games. I personally like Girls Frontline, its pay2win is nonexistent and game itself has a lot of depth.

I played FFBE for years (but fortunately spent very little money on it). it's cool that they're making a sequel/spinoff, but I don't want to devote more time to another gacha game.

FFBE also started out with everything super easy, but the power creep got worse and worse over time. eventually you pretty much needed a team full of the rarest characters in order to beat the hardest content.

I have to catch up on BE's story as I quite enjoyed what I played a couple years ago.

Arknights and Idola Phantasy Star are the only ones I actively play and enjoy. I don't feel pressured into paying for anything and the gameplay is fun. Also I'm playing this Romancing Saga one that's good. It plays kind of like an old JRPG

ff brave exvius is a final fantasy themed gacha game that features pretty much every ff character in it. it also has a shitton of OCs and ariana grande is playable for some reason.

looks alright. is this gonna kill my battery in 2 minutes, though? the last game i played with VA was SRW DD and if you had battle animations on you could play for maybe 30 minutes before you'd be from 100 to 1%.
