Armored Core, Bushido Blade 2, Destrega, Symphony of the Night, Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, Blood Omen, Legend of Dragoon, the Final Fantasies VII-IX. Probably missing a couple more. VP, Vagrant Story, and Xenogears were never good, so they can be excluded from consideration.

You got a lot of nostalgia for some of those, because they look like ass. Basically anything 3D on the PS1 looked like utter dogshit and did not age well at all. That doesn't mean we don't like them still, but don't lie and say they aged well.

Anything sprite-based is still perfectly playable today.
To be honest I'm not a fan of early 3D graphics in general even though I've been used to them since my childhood, and the PS1 certainly didn't help in making it all uglier due to all the wobblan.

Mostly the games that weren't trying to be realistic, like Symphony of the Night, Parappa, Final Fantasy Tactics and Street Fighter Alpha 3. Everything else looks like absolute dogshit these days, I can't even bring myself to touch MGS1 anymore because it hurts my eyes on a modern TV screen.

One of them is a fan favourite that was never officially released in the west at an appropriate time.

Symphony of the Night definitely, because it was done completely in 2D by using the knowledge of the past generation + the new capabilities of the PS1 hardware to deliver the best possible product instead of trying to get too experimental with the new 3D technologies and delivering a mess. I can also play Metal Gear Solid without a single problem, maybe it was Kojima's penchant for making a cinematic experience, but it has aged surprisingly gracefully. Also dunno if the Sega Saturn or whatever version of Policenauts is better, but I played the PS1 version and it was pretty cool, though it obviously has the benefit of just straight up being a visual novel with a few shooting segments, so there isn't much stuff to age in the first place.

I wish I was less autistic, but low res prerendered backgrounds and UI elements mixed with super crisp models makes my stomach churn.

I disagree, Mega Man Legends holds up beautifully despite its age. The colorful environments and character models result in a game thats still pleasing for the eyes, more so than some early PS2 titles.

It’s a bit different, the other games are straightforward adventures. In LoM you have a silent protagonist, three separate main quests, a bunch of side quests, a huge world that you can explore at your own pace in no particular order, specially as the world opens up. A shitton of hidden mechanics, crafting, pet raising, tons of sidekicks and companions, each with their own sidequest. Again, it’s very different to the other games in the series. I think it’s also the first game in the series not to be on a Nintendo platform.
