Remember when Game Freak made a Pokemon game that was challenging, had fleshed out characters, mature themes, and a region that had the most diverse climate and geography while still maintaining a consistent proto-cyberpunk aesthetic which ties into the primary story conflict producing a profound and memorable journey?
And then they never did it again.
Remember when Game Freak made a Pokemon game that was challenging, had fleshed out characters, mature themes...
I was twelve when it came out and even I knew it was an easy game with pretty cliched themes. Was still cool though, but I preferred Soul Silver.
What I want to know is why post gen-6 music has had such shit audio quality. I don't just mean the soundtracks themselves, but it all sounds like they covered a stereo with a pillow.
>any Pokemon game
>challenging
I beat Red when I was 7 years old. They're made for little kids to beat. This complaint is fucking stupid.
Gen 5 is when I bailed on the series. For all the effort they put into story and anime cutscenes (which weren't even all that impressive for a late DS game), it still felt like a rehash of the same game I'd been playing since the gameboy days. I got bored a few gyms in and haven't touched the games since.
Yes. And then B2/W2 pissed it all away because nobody wanted change. From Gen5 onward, it's been nothing but a constant nostalgia fanwank.
are you serious? gen 5 was the biggest, most innovative gen since 2.
>triple battles
>rotation battles
>pokemon world tournament with every fucking champion and gym leader up to that point with decked out meta-relevant teams and decently challenging
>challenge/easy mode options
>can get an alakazam, rotom, some gen 4 legendaries, shiny dratini/gible, etc. in black 2/white 2
>tons of sick new pokemon like jellicent, ferrothorn, excadrill, bisharp, reuniclus, braviary, accelgor, mienshao, volcarona, chandelure
>hardest a mainline pokemon game has ever been, before or after
What are some good rom hack ? Played Gaia and I enjoyed it.
Quads of truth
DId Rijon Adventures ever end up getting finished? I remember playing that a good decade ago
Pic obviously unrelated.
