I saw someone mention in another thread that they couldn't play Touhou on a specific laptop keyboard.
As someone who has always used a cheap keyboard or a laptop (both with real arrow keys though), this made me curious. What's the advantage of an expensive keyboard?

while it isn't what they were talking about, a decent kb can allow you to do one-frame taps. i couldn't do that on a couple rubber-dome kbs (granted, one was old and the other was cheap) but i can on a mech. doesn't need to be expensive though. also isn't necessary when you're starting out since you're not really needing or able to utilize that level of precision.

I'd agree if the glitch required really specific execution. MarisaB does not: You just get your power between 3 & 3.95, and you beat the game. Unintended or not, that's how the game turned out.
It's kind of like, say, doing whatever mess you can do to beat Pokémon RBY without even using a single Pokémon vs abusing the fact killing a Pokémon with Hyper Beam lets you ignores its turn of recoil where you're supposed to do nothing

Not really, shot strength doesn't scale much with power, it's more important in stage to maintain coverage. And bombs deal a shit ton of damage to make up for it
And dying will always give you at least 3.2 power (meaning 3 bombs, and close to max shot strength), no matter how much you have on hand.

it's because the game showers you with power so even though the mechanic is supposed to be more punishing it turns around and you greatly reduce your losses if not even make fucking profit when timed right.
the patterns being very simple doesn't help either

We should set up webcams so we can study normies in their natural habitat.
Also, on a Touhou related note, I just had my best Flan fight ever, making it to Maze of Love without bombing. The only early Flan spell I still struggle with is Cranberry trap, and I'm sure it's not that bad once you 'get' it. I guess her later spells will be much more difficult, but I hope I'll be able to bomb through them to some extent.
