Fuck off cookie monster

>REEEEEEE I'M UNGRATEFUL FOR A LABOR OF LOVE COMPLETE REMAKE OF AN ANCIENT WII GAME BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP AND WANT A PAPER MARIO GAME THAT DEFIES SHIGERU MIYAMOTO THE FOUNDER OF GAMING'S WISHES AGAINST HAVING SONIC TIER CHARACTERS!!!! GIMMME GIMME!!
Yikes, what an entitled gamer, I wish Youtube was more like ResetEra so he would be banned for having such toxic opinions!

PUPPET MAN BAD

But really, why does it seem like most Paper Mario fans are reluctant to try other RPGs?

*bad

Mario fans are more autistic than Sonic fans

Miyamoto is a senile dumbass
Paper Mario was better when it had the ocs

they're scared off by the anime aesthetic.

Miyamoto ruining Paper Mario and his enforced sterilization of the Mario series in general is a good metaphor for Japan in general desu

Attached: Capture.png (103x146, 14.94K)

I've played a ton of RPGs and none of them feel the same. Paper Mario is honestly one of a kind.

Miyamoto has been memed into the reason why Paper Mario has changed and not the departure of Ryota Kawade as chief director of the series.

Arlo doesn't even give much of a shit about the Mario & Luigi games and they're Mario themed and don't have an anime aesthetic. He's just picky as fuck.

This dude is really fucking out of touch with video games desu. Whenever I check one of his videos at some point he complains about how he lacks time to play video games so he appreciates something being casual. And then the 2 big hitters in this direct which were bravely and xeno he went like "I don't know much, I don't care much".

Out of fucking touch with the very content he works on which is video games.

Not to mention Tanabe and his team's lack of familiarity with Mario's history.

Attached: Tanabe.png (394x538, 276.87K)

>labor of love
>complete remake
>built from the ground up
imagine being this delusional

Paper Mario fans are fucking stubborn. They could have Tanabe show up at their house, shit in their mouth, say he's the reason Paper Mario's future is non-existent, and how Chibi Robo's death is entirely his fault and they'd still cry "M-Miyamoto..."

don't forget the entire original paper mario IS team is gone

The funny thing is Bravely is casual. It's literally designed as an entry RPG.

Which is even funnier. The least casual game in the same spiritual series - Octopath Traveler - sold nearly as much as both previous Bravely games and it's predecessor FF:T4HoL combined.

Saga 2 is the only bad game in the series though.

honestly, even though Pikmin and Paper Mario are (or used to be) pretty great, I want them to never announce a new game just so that autists like him seethe eternally
If you bought a switch and have no interest in jrpgs and other japanese games you are a massive retard

Tanabe is not an internal member of IS developing the game.
Realistically it was that damn survey they mention
>With regard to the story, we did a survey over the Super Paper Mario game in Club Nintendo, and not even 1% said the story was interesting

Other RPGs don't have bings or wahoos.

Indeed.

It's even funnier if you actually watch the part he talks about bravely. He mentions he doesn't into jrpgs because they are too difficult for him. I mean holy shit senpai how out of touch can you be?

Also, Octopath Sold so much because of the circumstances it was released in as in being a switch exclusive at the time where there weren't that many, and the switch itself being so successful. I don't think it's better than bravely.

>new game shown
>ehhhhhhhhhh it's not for me because I dunno

>labor of love
>ground up remake
>ancient wii game
>miyamoto's wishes
>toxic
>entitled
>wish youtube was more like resetera
>le sonic characters bad
WHY THE FUCK CAN YOU NOT UNDERSTAND BLATANT SARCASM?

who the fuck is part of club nintendo

this but unironically

>WHY THE FUCK CAN YOU NOT UNDERSTAND BLATANT SARCASM?

Give Arlo some credit, unlike his shitty reaction at the September Direct, he atleast acknowledged that Xenoblade was great for the fans and he's jealous.

The problem with his reaction back then is that he downplayed the things he didn't care for.
At least this time he simply says it's not for him but great either way

Don't forget he whined about Pikmin in the mini direct

>Paper Mario fags always blame Miyamoto
>Tanabe is the real problem
>people also know nothing about Taro Kubo who is partially to blame for the Toads

>People are still blaming Miyamoto

He didn't ruin the gameplay
He didn't remove exp
He didn't say to use all Toads

Why are you guys constantly using him when the real culprit was Tanabe

Attached: salesman.png (826x648, 238.62K)

Redpill me on Tanabe, what's his deal?

Miyamoto's wishes drove the series into the ground. It sold millions of copies when it had that story and Goombas with hats. Color Splash flopped even for the Wii U. Get fucked.

why is this pedophile not in jail?

Something something Miyamoto said game wasn't different enough and thing shown was literally TTYD and we're like Star Fox fans that only want the same shit shoveled down our throats before complaining it's the same.

Nevermind sticker combat being considered very early in development. Nevermind Tanabe saying he wanted the game to be less of an RPG. Nevermind Tanabe saying he wanted to focus more on puzzles.

SS was literally going to follow in the footsteps of 64/TTYD until he stopped it

He handled Tropic Freeze and Luigi's Mansion 3, pretty good

Didn't Taro Kudo say something about Sticker Star not needing a story because it's on a handheld?

>SS was literally going to follow in the footsteps of 64/TTYD
>sticker combat
>developed the same way Dark Moon was with portable little missions in mind
>from the start they avoided using "RPG" as a description
BUT CHAIN CHOMP

People came to love Paper Mario for the new characters and the world, which was absolutely Miyamoto's fault in changing. You can't have a good Paper Mario game without unique, original characters. Sure Tanabe fucked up a lot but Miyamoto absolutely fucked up this part, which is the part people tend to miss if not the most, the second most from PM games.

Based Hall and Oates poster

Do you faggots honestly watch puppet-fister's content?

Attached: 1583867536381.jpg (505x810, 69.63K)

having stickers in combat doesn't mean it's the same shit as the end product we got

>from the start they avoided using "RPG" as a description
no shit, the game was deep into development after the change when it got revealed

>THE MOST OKAYEST DIRECT MINI TO DATE

>ou can't have a good Paper Mario game without unique, original characters
Here's a Paper Mario game with characters from the "Super Mario world"
You'll notice it didn't go full retard with geometric shapes with eyes
You'll notice it put effort into differentiating the Toads that Miyamoto doesn't even like

Attached: il_570xN.1425771300_ldjw.jpg (570x428, 55.14K)

Attached: Yes.jpg (647x659, 40.42K)

Yeah, this is awful. Better never be creative again and just have all of the characters look like they came from a NSMB game, but paper. (also they really are actually paper haha get it look)

>people still don't realize what a radically different game Super was compared to the previous entries
It is essentially fanfiction.

Attached: Sakamoto.png (340x454, 111.15K)

he was complaining that there was no pikmin so much he missed that ninjala is free to play which isn't a huge deal but that PLUS his unexplained indifference to xenoblade, audible disgust at the Trials of Mana remake and him being disappointed just proves he's got really bad taste and/or manners

Arlo is based because he know there is only one good nintendo franchise: pikmin

True, but most PM fans are fans of TTYD, not the original, so that explains a lot.

>almost no one on club nintendo mentions the story being interesting
>don't try to make the story and world more better and more memorable in the hopes that people mention it
>instead neuter the world, characters, and plot into absolutely nothing in one fell swoop thus guaranteeing that no one will ever speak any good of it
>all because people made a bunch of half-assed reviews for club nintendo points

Attached: justmario.png (1080x1076, 1019.59K)

>more better
i am english speaker

I don’t think anybody’s denying that Super was really different from the games that came before and after it though, I just think that’s what made the game interesting. It’s got a lot of issues but at the end of the day it’s still got some of the things that made the first two games unique, even if they were used in a radically different way.

>audible disgust at the Trials of Mana remake

Why do I get the feeling it's because of the skimpy costumes? I can't imagine a more sexless motherfucker than this guy

People tend to forget that Miyamoto was one of the producers for the first two games, as well. If he had a problem with anything in these games, he would've said something.

And before someone brings up Rosalina's storybook, it's been confirmed in a Nintendo Power interview with Koizumi that he shared the story with Miyamoto before putting it in the game. Making Galaxy 2 less story-focused was a decision they both agreed to do.

Because I wasn't here originally to play a RPG. I was here to play a game with Mario. And it turned out to be a pretty good RPG.
The relation of a typical Mario/Nintendo fan with Paper Mario is contrary to the RPG Fan's way of thinking. The Mario fan comes for Mario, sees the mechanics surrounding him & his surroundings in the entry, and wishes for them to be developped further in sequels. Mario is always at the epicenter of their way of thinking.
A developped interest for RPGs may grow but more often than enough, this interest will shift into wishing for a sequel of the game you've just played. That's how a lot of Mario fans think, and can you blame them? They're the most lucrative franchise in the world: Sequel success stories are written all over Mario's face.

It was Japanese fans only too, I'm pretty sure Westerners remember the story of Super Paper Mario.
