What games does your dad play?
What games does your dad play?
My dad used to play a lot of The Phantom Menace on PC way back when. He loved the Mos Espa trading level.
Back when he had a gaming pc. He played a lot of command and conquer, Counter Strike, and hitman. Now when he has the chance, he plays COD online
My dad plays a lot of those weird mobile games that appeal to the naive old retards.
We used to play Warcraft 2 a lot when I was a kid.
My dad literally only plays Insurgency every night.
Not even Sandstorm, just the original, and he likes to sit back and just snipe people.
I remember he liked DOOM and some older arcade stuff like centipede/space invaders but honestly he mostly just played monopoly on one of those websites with online
granted my mom doesn't really play video games either unless you count solitaire.
My dad hates games and any form of fantasy or escapism with a fiery passion. He considers it a drug or a resort for degenerates. He also suffers from depression and watches shitty action movies in his free time.
he only plays world of warcraft and still tries to talk to me about it even though i quit like 8 years ago
before that he played shattered galaxy and delta force 2
my dad was a cunt when he was younger and now hes more nice as an older man but i only remember mean dad you guys know what i mean?
Used to play Mario, but late in life he liked Angry Birds
OSRS, civ 3, and assorted ww2 strategy games he finds
He doesn't, never has.
My pop played a shit ton of DOOM back in the 90s with a joystick that he got from fuck knows where
Nothing but RTS games. I cannot remember him playing anything else but RTS.
World of Tanks/Warships
He also finished Fallout NV
Star Fox 64
Perfect Dark
Pokémon Pinball
Also, he had a 360 with me and my three brothers back in the day so he played on live with us from Call of Duty 2 all the way to Ghosts. So the 2005 to 2013 yearly installments. MW2 is still peak COD, everything after has been a soulless carbon copy.
Hot Shots Golf/Wii sports games. I found data from Mafia on my PS2 memory card once.
Once a year he'll play this on his Quadra 900.
>i only remember mean dad you guys know what i mean?
I do, same with my dad. But the shit he did when he was younger was too cuntish to forgive in my eyes so i stopped talking to him
i saw my dad playing the mobileshit mario kart as toadette
kinda reminds me of my dad
>bought my brother vice city and always enjoyed watching him run over hookers or shoot up the beach
>when I asked for some money to get Bully he acted like it was gonna turn me into one (despite being the kind of antisocial loser that wound up here in the first place) and told me to fuck off
granted that might have also just been because he was never subtle about me being his least favorite child
Alot of Dragons Lair and Space Ace. I loved watching him play it growing up.
Star Fox 64 and Ocarina of Time but then his retard son was born
my dad's an old fogey because I'm not underaged, So not much. He used to play arcadey games like Space Invaders and some sports/racing games on the N64 here and there. Now he mostly plays SHMUPS on his phone if he plays something.
Legend of Dementia: Breath of the Alzheimer's
Oh, and prior to the N64 we didn't have a console in the house. He was a bit of a pinball wiz back in the day though.
When I was a kid he would only ever play Dr. Mario, but now all he plays is shitty mobile app slots and online bingo.
He also has a gambling problem, so it's not much of a surprise.
Halo, Gears, and Tomb Raider
>implying my dad even knows how to do anything but scroll facebook on his iphone
He's an engineer but a boomer so he is afraid of any technology he didn't grow up with.
he doesn’t play anything.
if he isn’t working on something he can’t function as a person. I can’t believe someone with aspergers is the most productive person I’ve ever known
He was a huge Metroid fan. Last Metroid game he played was the demo for MP2. He actually got a second GameCube and another copy of MP1 since it came with a demo disc for MP2. He was really looking forward to the game, but he died before he could beat it. I wonder how he would reacted to Prime 3 and Other M.
Mostly card games like Yukon
Hexen
Heretic
Quake
DOOM
Whatever yearly golf title comes out on the PS4
Fug
>Grandma wanted me to go stay with her during the Corona pandemic
>she lives a country away
>Got absolutely fucking PISSED when I told her I couldn't and that I don't wanna get sick.
Why are boomers so retardedly pathetic?
Nothing, except for the occasional mario cart, racing game or (during the ps2 days) football game (pes or fifa) once in a billion years - I can’t even remember the last time he actually played a video game. He once owned a Sega Genesis. My mum has played the original msx2 metal gear though.
But I consider that a good thing because my dad is very cultured and has a great taste in music/cinema/literature/art etc., I based a lot of myself on him.
>got my dad back into vidya for the first time since metroid 2 with the 360
>puts 1000+ hours in oblivion
>even plays weebshit like FFXIII and Lost Odyssey
>watched e3 with me and my brothers when Skyrim was announced, was hype as fuck
>preordered, put another 1000 hours into that
>mom got mad he was spending so much time playing vidya and made him stop
>now he just plays mobileshit like clash of clans all day
Madden almost exclusively for the past 25 years. He did recently beat Spiderman on the PS4 but watching him play was fucking painful.
He's still a beast at Madden though, the old man can't do basic jumping puzzles for shit but he still whoops asses online in Madden.
Chess
He played some Warcraft 3 multiplayer about a year ago, though.
The oldest game I have memory of is nightmare creatures on the N64. He played doom 3 a lot which he only allowed me to watch when he was walking around quiet areas, some old ghost recon which got me into military shooters today, indiana jones and the infernal machine had spiders which were too scary for me, every single legend of zelda, and GTA Vice city/san andreas. Thank you for the memories op, i remember first playing with pc graphics settings and thinking ghost recon looked like real life
He literally only plays AoE2. He has 2k hours in just the steam port
Just be glad it's your mom, you can still get him back into it. When your dad has a new girlfriend or some bullshit and she says how often he can play games is when it's a serious problem
Hide and seek. He is really good at it.
Get him back on that grind
My dad hasn't played a new game in a while but he will sometimes randomly just go out and buy a game at random and he'll ask me about it since he knows I like vidya, however there were always a few moments that stuck out to me.
>used to play guild wars like all the fucking time
>used to play any stealth or military game to live out a navy seal fantasy
>never liked metal gear because it was too cheesy
>beat halo the halos on legendary
>bought every rocksmith game for some reason and actually got pretty good
>would make fun of any of his guy friends who played as girl characters online
>would call them "girl toons"
>calls levels "boards"
>calls lives "guys"
Pops used to play the Goldeneye games back when, he's a tad bit old right now so he sticks to simple games like Darkest dungeon and AC
When I was a kid I used to watch my dad play the old PS1 Tomb Raiders. He kind of stopped playing games soon after I started, although lately he's been playing World of Tanks on his shitty laptop. It's funny hearing him tell stories on how he griefs his teammates when they get too salty
Is your dad from Jersey
Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and Duke Nukem 3D, that's all he ever played. He wasn't really interested in everything that came after.
My dad has been playing America's Army for 15 years and is the type to get verbally angry if someone online pretended to be an irl marine
So you obviously got him the DE as a gift right?
my dad played an ungodly amount of champions of norrath and return to arms. he played the games for years, and when he did everything there was to do he would just start over. i even tried to get him into other similar wrpg's but he never had much interest. still bizarre thinking on it
That neverwinter MMO on PS4. He also plays a bit of bioshock atm, played a lot of rpg's like the witcher and other rpg's like dishonored. Sad that he's too addicted to that shitty neverwinter MMO now to play anything else
based dad
He grew up in rural Ohio
He’s only partially correct.
ask him to play doom 2016 and doom eternal and tell us which version is the shittier one
He at the store
When they were still working Top Gun or Ice Hockey on NES and Tetris on C64. Nowadays it mostly the games on the Windows 7 games pack on their Win10 PC and he's too proud to ask me install other games on it.
Anything with the world "Black Ops" and "DOOM" in it. He used to play a lot more types of PC games 20 years ago, now he's put himself on PS3/PS4.
football games and racing game like rally and f1
Mortal combat and street fighter
Also mother likes Pac-Man and fantasy casino
My dad plays a lot of DOTA 2. He's not very good, and real players are too mean to him, so he plays bot matches with a Workshop AI. Occasionally he'll shoot me an invite to join him.
mind games with my mom
sudoku on a phone
What an absolutely based father you have, user. You should be thankful to have such a based being in your life.
Also remembered this. Not my dad, but my grandpa was a civil engineer who got super into PC gaming in retirement.
>100% skyrim and modded the game to make it harder
>beat talos principle with his wife
>beat the original grim fandango with his wife
>now just plays xplane and watches science videos on youtube
>when I got my gaming rig he bought the same graphics card that I had but it wouldn't fit properly
>takes apart his graphics card and makes it fit
>still just does xplane
my mom
He used to play a lot of PS2.
Prince of Persia 1, 2 and 3
RE4
Splinter Cell
Shadow of the Colossus
i'm not certain, last time we talked he was really enthusiastic about control.
max payne and vice city
World of Warcraft. I tried to convince him to play something else like Darkest Dungeon but he just plays WoW. He even got Carpel Tunnel from it I think.
Would love to do that, but he passed away almost 20 years ago.
used to hang out with me when i was younger and wed play on my psp together, mainly burnout legends
nowadays we got a retropie with a proper 2-player arcade controller and we occasionally play some joust together, or hell play galaga and gorf by himself once in a while
My father has played Zuma at least once a day ever since my mom bought it for him years ago.
What about your mom's boyfriend
My dad's playing Diablo 2 RIGHT NOW
