five, half of that info isn't even necessary

Right you are!

I tried to brute force this, since there are only twelve options.
I'm under the assumption that the oldest two people are the married couple.
bumping so thread doesn't archive. next post has answer

People might be busy, let's keep going and see if more peeps show up.

1 line from the battery to the light, ignoring the contact points

The battery and the bulb are directly connected.

From battery negative to the unused wire of the bulb.

Excellent work!

The maximum number of passes is 6 (one per page).
I want to say 3 passes as the minimum. We can't go lower than this.
A + C
B + F
D + E

Copy A and B together, fold A in, copy C and F together, turn over, copy D and E

Or just go find a bigger copier that copies both sides at once FUCK YOU, YOU NEVER SAID WE COULDN'T

Math says 3, doing something like A and D to cover the odd ends. Instinct says it's lower somehow.

>A + C
>B + F
I'm having trouble visualizing how you'd physically position the menu to do that.

2? Assuming printing both sides at the same time is possible

Dan and Lisa.

That's right! These puzzles were you have to move a drawing into a 3d shape in your head are pretty fun imo.

Not quite my friend.

Attached: 39.jpg (2160x1920, 2.26M)

>A + C
Mush the menu together for one side.
>B + F
Rip out a page and flip it.
I fucked up on this one. Maybe if there's two-sided copying?

assuming it's just counting and nothing funky's going on, 11.

Wait off by one. 10.

7

Sorry! But that's not the correct answer.

10? Not sure I get this one.

Better review your Jordan Curve Theorem.
You're looking at the exterior, not te interior.

7 I think? I can't visualize the net properly in my head but I assumed it would catch the fish that are "inside" the space created between the two hands holding the rope.

Nevermind, seems like 7

7 high quality salmon my friend

I'd paint the net but I'm lazy, it's 7

Hey guys, Yas Forums here. Is it ok If I camp here for a few days? Steven Universe (AKA the smash threads of Yas Forums) is ending tonight and I can tell that that board will be uninhabitable for the next day from all the trannies killing themselves.

Sharp eye! These are ones that get easier to see when you use paint and connect the dots, but it can be a good workout to figure it out on your head alone. Or learning topology like suggests, amazing stuff. Moving on!

Sure, solve some puzzles with us while you're at it.

Wrong board

Whoops, missed one. Here's your (You) user, good job.

1 crescent

Mary Sam

the moon one

If my brain does not fail me, the moon ornament, which is the lightest.

I'm not sure this works. You'd have to fold all the paper you're copying the menu on before stuffing them in the printer.

What said

That's exactly right! Well done anons.

You too my dude.

Attached: 41.jpg (2160x1920, 2.11M)

5M + 3B = 2S + 2M + 1B + X, possible values are 1, 2, and 3
3M + 2B = 2S + X
B != 3, neither combination gives a valid solution
Neither can M, so S = 3
3M + 2B = 6 + X
Both possibilities at this point lead to X being a moon.

5 books

Excellent explanation, user. A (You) most deserved.

Attached: 1556072969054.png (1920x1080, 1.11M)

5. 4 narrow end up then 1 on top.

Can't believe the answer overlooked the possibility of the star being the lightest ornament.

I'm getting 2 without tearing the books apart.
Any explanation I can get?

Mary Sam

D has to be true and after that is known only B can be true.

There's a few ways to arrange it, but you can fit 5 books with a 10X10X30 space left over

Too bad! Would you like a hint?

Excellent work, user.

Attached: 1576068170933.png (700x624, 333.02K)

Or 3 stacked up and 1 placed vertically on 2 sides of the 3 stack.

How could it be? You'd never be able to balance it with just one additional ornament that way.

6.75 books

Since 5 isn't the answer apparently, I'll try a different approach.
The case is 30 x 30 x 30. For simplicity's sake, let's say it's just 3 x 3 x 3. Likewise, the book is 2 x 2 x 1.
3^3 = 27 units, whereas the book is 4 units. At MOST you can't pack more than 6 books in the case. Assuming if fits perfectly.

Because it doesn't. We need to be creative.
Place the books upright inside the box. You have three books on the first "level", and place a fourth book on the remaining side.
No further books fit, so 4 books.

Fuck I meant sun, I need to sleep.

6.
There are 8 corners of the cube and 6 faces. Simply assign a different corner to each face and place a book flat along the face stuck in the corner.

Is it 6 with some weird arrangement where you place 5 books vertically in a weird arrangement and have one laying flat on top?

I love you puzzle user

I refuse to participate in these threads because they simply remind me of how much of a brainlet I am.

holy shit I think you're right

>mfw i can't solve any of these puzzles

We DO need to get creative! We also need to round down those numbers user. The answer is indeed 6, excellent attempts and explanations anons, you're doing great!

Love ya too, user.

Come on now, there is nothing to lose, you might even win some (You)s!

A frogposter can't solve logic puzzles, who would have thought?

1cm = 10mm

10

That shit was not 30 fucking Picarats, fuck you Layton.

Attached: 1436742876083.png (250x238, 79.49K)

Interestingly enough you'd still put a crescent to balance it out though

What this guy said

Attached: 1344441190043.jpg (805x1102, 260.41K)

20?

The "weights" on the outer strings need to be doubled, because balancing the bar is about balancing torque, not mass.

4 books
3 upright and one on top of the other three

man this aint even a puzzle he's just making sure you're awake

20 mm?

20mm, one cm for each overlap

10 mm

1 cm (or 10 mm). Can it get any more obvious?

Further explanation is that at 5mm it would be even so 10mm (1cm) pushes it too far either way

Attached: 1344440492391.jpg (727x1191, 263.02K)

It's information meant to mislead people in to overthinking the problem.

Yeah, since 3 star = 3 sun + 3 moon and the other side has 3 sun + 4 moon.

Not all puzzles can be bullshit, right? That's how they keep you on your toes.
The answer was 0.393701 inches! But I guess I'll take your weird units as correct I guess :^)

Attached: 43.png (2160x1920, 2.44M)

You can SEE it in the fucking PICTURE

6 and 9. heh

Fug, missed one well deserved (You) again. Well done user, and great pictures, they do feel awfully familiar, what's the source?

Attached: 1566314381674.png (800x445, 573.51K)

That was godsdamned fast.

This book. I picked it up in /tg/ several years ago

Heres your (You) brainlords

Bill is 9, John is 6.
Had to test values for this one

The algebra takes all of 15 seconds to write out and solve.
J + 3 = 2 B
2J = 3B
