play more games
Not in a million years.
>DMC combat
>good
What's wrong, kiddo? You got anything to say?
Ir didnt get 4 sequels to global acclaim by being shitty.
From just can't into action games. They try so hard but the harder they try the worse their games end up being.
Erong
it is unarguably the most indepth, satisfying and beautiful combat system created. DMC 3, 4 and 5 stand tall above everything else, there is no competition.
Compared to the other garbage they put out, yes. It's fucking amazing. Perfected even.
But compared to games where combat is the focus, no, it's complete and utter shit.
The only thing they did "good" is: AI mostly plays with the same rules and the game is built around managing your posture.
Other than that, it's complete shit. Le epic light attack, heavy attack, jump attack, dodge attack, backstep attack and LE EPIC ONE SKILL
Total shit, even with the fucking tools in use since every boss is broken by at least one tool. Most just need firecrackers + double ichimonji or else circle their attacks then single ichimonji
room temperature IQ post
In °C no less
No, really. What boss cannot be fucking decimated with one of the following + ichimonji: shuriken, firecrackers, spear, axe or umbrella
Monkey puzzle boss aside (seriously what the fuck was the point of that? WE PUZZLE GAME NAO!!!), all of the bosses can be cheesed with one of the above tools + ichimonji
Or Mortal Draw
My three favourite combat systems in vidya are Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Sekiro
Sekiro is good though
it got 4 sequels because edgelords exist.
>Combat
Hell no. Shit's boring and defensive.
holy shit cope harder shitter lol
>He doesn't block offensively
Case in point.
No.
>only one sword with one combo
>can only equip one combat art at a time, can't combo with combat arts either
>only other alternative weapons are from your arm, which have a limited number of uses
>gameplay is almost entirely centered around parrying while occasionally poking the opponent
>unless you go charmless blocking can reliably deflect 99% of attacks
If you're playing totally defensive then you're going to end up with fights lasting an extremely long time
>cope
Someone is coping alright
Fucking weeb lol
Yeah because trying to fight offensively means dying instantly, so using a winning strategy takes a long time by comparison.
And no, mashing attack on their block isn't playing offensively. Sekiro combat is the equivalent of five year olds playfighting where they put their sword out for the other guy to hit.
>haven't beaten Isshin
>start a new save
>didn't even struggle against anyone
how is this possible?
I beat Genichiro on first attempt, LB was a cakewalk and the only one boss that did make me struggle was first corrupted monk.
Hell, during my fight against Genichiro, I managed to heal several times, something I didn't do during my first time against him.
>Yeah because trying to fight offensively means dying instantly
If you're just mashing attack unga bunga style then yeah, you'll die. If you're meant to mix offence and defence
this
If it can be beaten hitless with the Donkey Kong bongos, then it's not very good.
>but what about [insert some other shitty FromSoftware game]
yeah this applies to [insert some other shitty FromSoftware game] too
You're the one who mass-replied
>DMCfag got filtered
LOL
its just slow metal gear rising
and? Are you an underage meme brain that just throws out words because they are memes regardless of their actual meaning?
You literally mash attack with no thought until they parry. There's no actual offense, the entire combat system is one hundred percent reactionary, because if you try to deviate from the script at all, bosses will ignore hitstun and hit you or do something else retarded. Like Owl having an instant mikiri counter for no reason. Again, it's all just taking turns hitting each other's swords and it's gay as fuck.
>can't flatten enemies with my big hammer
>sword deals no damage
>there's literally only one way to fight and almody all of the tools are useless except firecrackers and ishimonji
Sekiro's swordplay is interesting but it's really limiting and I was tired of it by the time I reached Owl. I didn't even bother with Isshin. I still haven't beaten it, nor will I. The combat is a chore.
>You literally mash attack with no thought until they parry
Combat arts and prosthetics beg to differ
>like Owl having an instant Mikiri for no reason
It makes perfect sense for a master shinobi who raised Sekiro to have some of the same moves and tactics
>choose to NOT help kuro
>fight emma
>fight ishin
>game ends
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?! FUCK THIS ENDING! LITERALLY 30% OF THE GAME IS MISSING!
RRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
That's what you get for being an asshole
Nah, it was pretty boring.
>Ignore hitstun
No boss can ignore hitstun in Sekiro. You are just a retard who thinks every hit has to stun the target
good thing I was smart enough to make backup saves before every important decision.
fuck this horseshit padding multiple playthrough shit where you have to redo the majority of the game for one extra boss fight at best.
>fuck this horseshit padding multiple playthrough shit where you have to redo the majority of the game for one extra boss fight at best
If it really bothers you that much then just watch the endings on Youtube
>seriously what the fuck was the point of that? WE PUZZLE GAME NAO!!!
I'm honestly glad people like you don't like From games, because every game they make (except DS2?) has bosses that aren't straightforward combat encounters.
>>unless you go charmless blocking can reliably deflect 99% of attacks
Charm is easy mode for journalists
>Not dodging behind the opponent for more hits
>Not using shuriken chasing slice to jump in and punish
>Not using firecrackers to interrupt attacks
>Not using feather to zip into the air and light them on fire at the same time
>Not using spear to poke
Sekiro's combat is not super complicated, but there are definitely interesting options if you actually use them
I still want to do the bossfights, and the way I do it works out best.
Fallen Order has also pretty good combat mechanics
The monkey puzzle is piss easy and is in a cool area, don't see why it's a problem.
>That nigger who calls his dogs because he's too much of a pussy to 1v1 you
FUCK THIS BOSS
>most satisfying melee combat system
That would be DMC4 & 5.
Sekiro combat is good. But it's too defensive to be fun. It's still miles better than dark souls though so definitely From software took a step up.
Yup. It’s the best
and DMC has no defence whatsoever which makes it just as equally flawed.
Definetive wall for those who like to sit out the fights.
I've beaten dmc5 by mashing buttons and somehow still doing Insane animu shit on screen and getting b+ ratings every where.
While in sekiro I was filtered instantly.
The satisfaction of overcoming giganiggas in sekiro and mastering it supposed "simple" 3 button combat Is leagues more worth while than mashing gorrillion combos in dmc. Still, dmc Is a fun game.
are you retarded
>DMC has no defence
You're wrong.
>royalguard
>Nero's table hopper.
>Attack at the same time with your enemies to parry them.
No, i just played more video games than you.
All subverted by the fact enemies do a single massively telegraphed attack every full moon which you are just gonna jump through anyway. Actually downplaying the fact that DMC is nothing but a combo wank game for 3 games now can only mean you are a blind fanboy.
so you are retarded
See, this is what actual coping looks like.
your shitposting is weak.
>enemies do a single massively telegraphed attack every full moon which you are just gonna jump through anyway
So Sekiro? Because you can run circle around the enemies and cheese them with unlimited stamina
>you are a blind fanboy.
No (You)
