It is crippling. The mask is a disability aid because without it the victim has very little control over the afflicted area. With it they're able to coil it back into what shape it should be. The part where they manually stretch their ARMS for sport came later because the mask's original function was to just fix the part where it wouldn't go back.

There was a twelve page prologue a long time ago and then there was supposed to be comics/gns but we've had nothing since. Hopefully a chance of a sequel means it was delayed for that reason and is still actually happening.

Thre good boys and girls line is literally a made up line to fill that time in the dub version of the video, because what he says is that Mai wasn't let in because CERO, Japan's ESRB, would bump up the whole game's rating if she was in at all. This is because CERO can't let a game where you can see pantsu be below C, their equivalent to T for Teen. ZSS, Bayo, etc. are fine because they wear suits or shorts, even if they're skin tight. This is because CERO got stricter about this in the mid-2010s. I hate that they added the good girls line because it spread all this misinfo about what is "too sexy for Smash"
