I'm more concerned about the nigger boar
Just stick to his sides, and don't use lock on so you can actually see what he's doing.
>user PLEASE HELP M-
>Snaps like a twig
Remember to humiliate waifu hides
These things were intimidating until I realized that the lightning strike ninjutsu oneshots them when they're out of Ki.
Well, it one shots everything, but these guys have no Ki to start with.
>what is shuriken/kunai to the face
You only have like 9 of each, though.
How many 170+10 items you have so far? 2 here
I'm only in the second area and I already have 10 kunai and 12 shuriken.
There's a consumable that refills them and you can definitely get more than 10 of each.
Rude
AH yeah, forgot about that. Does he have so little health that you can kill him just by shurikens and kunai? I'll try that.
literally easier than Gaki.
>miko set
>twintails
>summons in beginning of level
>literally doesn't do anything and excepts me carry him through level, while he just stands back
At least two of it usually happens together
this guy was the easiest shit i ever did in the game
I was just trying to hit his back legs that gives you amrita and in the process all his attacks kept missing
when he does his stomp attack i just feral burst counter dodge that shit
user who suggested shurikens/kunai here.
My point is that you fight him normally, just spam the fuck out of yokai abilites to deplete his ki first, then around 40% of his health, start spamming kunai/shrikens/storm shuriken and if you want/have them: bombs & elemental shots (from magic)
Then just go into super mode for his last 15% and go ham.
All the yokai bosses can be done that way easily. The hardest part of the yokais are getting them down past 50%
>Phantom gets a shitton of high tier Guardian Spirits including Tengen Kujaku, possibly THE BEST spirit in whole game
>Brute and Feral get shit
>*grabs you * oWo what's this?
Saika Magoichi? More like Saika Mabitch, amirite?
He's literally fucking broken. He glitches the fuck out every time I fight him.
i had way more trouble with the boar
>phantom is hardest spirit to play
Feels fair
Yeah but phantom gets the worst counter by a fucking mile and I would take the guaranteed brute counter or feral dodge over a few little stat bonuses any day.
>little stat bonuses
You know nothing
Can someone tell me why they think it's even remotely okay to put Yokai fights on 2 feet of planks?
Not really, it's merely a just guard with very lenient timing
Best yokai shift too and with the largest attunement pool
How do you do the Yokai grab? Do you already have to be in that state or can you press circle and triangle with a full gauge?
Best Yokai shift except half the attacks whiff for no reason.
>very lenient timing
Lol what
>except half the attacks whiff for no reason.
Use the fucking teleport ability
>with very lenient timing
Thats brute and feral
Phantom has very tight timing it actually counters and gets fucked the most by delayed attacks
They have to be downed and you have to have a full gauge but yeah, press circle and triangle when they can be grappled.
The timing isn't that difficult to get down. The only reason my Feral use is so high is because I used Feral exclusively in NG and part of the way through NG+. Also, press triangle and you'll zoom to your target to which you can proceed to fuck up. However, the range on Phantom is pretty far and I've never had a problem hitting targets with it.
Do all of the talking weapons have five lines? and are there specific triggers for them?
Based ryona user
Thank you!
The trigger is filling the sentience bar 2 times I think
They'll say their 5 lines in order and then repeat again
So you only used phantom after you saw all yokai skills thousands times during ng, while using braindead feral
Got it
No, I used Feral because I didn't want to change to another guardian because I liked what the bird had to offer. The timing is different and I had to get used to it which if you have more than 2 brain cells you'll get it. Feral you just ram yourself into an attack while Phantom you have to do it right when it's about to hit you.
What's a good pairing with 1kat? I tried using 2kat as well, because I like the look of having three swords on my belt, but 2kat feels super weak. I don't really wanna fall back to my combo from the first game of 1kat & Spear though, feels too boring.
Also, do Bird Tengu have any weak spots? I've been trying to pop them with an arrow before fights to soften them up, but nothing seems to do any extra damage.
>I used Feral because I didn't want to change to another guardian
Lmao, sure...
No,yiu used feral because phantom is too punishing for you, but of course after you learned which attacks are delayed and which are not you could use something harder
Strange that you didn't abused brute too, even more braindead than feral
how do I get him to destroy the dam?
Dude you literally have less than half the fucking counters on phantom don't even try to tell me that shits "lenient" because it isn't. You need to use trial and error to learn the fucking timing on new enemies.
2kat are fine, but you need the skills
And no, they have no weak spots.
Apparently they're resistant to poison but they get poisoned instantly for me.
That's.. not at all what happened but make things up to fit your own narrative.
Yes, I have less counters because I've been using Phantom for a less period of time. Wonder how that works. Also, I wasn't the one that said it was lenient.
Tengu are fucking strong as fuck, they have like 3 boring as fuck moves where they spin around and wreck your guard or they one shot you with that air wave shit while also tanking 500000 hits. They also have one of the worst fucking soul cores. I fucking can't stand them.
>one shot you with that air wave shit
Are you playing naked?
Sorry bud
He doesn't need trial and error, he already saw them all before starting using phantom
My bet he returns to feral for dlc too
This pleases me for some reason
Why are you so upset? Do you mess up timings? Don't worry, I do too. I also didn't know Tengen Kujaku's damage buff was as good as it was until NG+. I'm not switching off this spirit for anything unless the DLC brings in a better one.
Okay, what the fuck is up with the Yokai Namahage? They are literally worse than the bosses I've fought up to this point.
You gotta dodge when you see that white smoke appear before an enemy attacks. You can't block grabs.
user.. He was getting grabbed on purpose
yeah it's not like he intentionally took off the character's clothes and made her stand there and get grabbed
I wish every build didn't require Onmyo magic to be super powerful. Onmyo magic is fucking boring.
Standing there for 5 minutes self buffing ruins the pacing of the game
Blacksmith's disassemble is bugged right? I just disassembled for over 500 umbracite but I got zero
You sure they weren't umbracite shards?
Easiest way to get more elixirs?
I'm upset because you spout bullshit like it being "lenient", despite the fact that you never even used it during first walkthrough
No shit, everything is easy when you already saw it
guess it was since I can make thousand umbracite
Like the fucking boss of that level (frozen tundra) was easier than them.
Its the nature of magic and unless a game has a focus on magical combat it can be painful to dabble in.
Otherwise though I'm enjoying use of the Oasis talisman as a decent healing option and buffing my weapon.
The grind for Omnyo points is fucking real, holy shit.
Which Switch Glaive stance change attack is the best? I just swap around not know wtf i'm doing except when enemies are low on key i switch to the low stance one and go full helicopter because it stagger locks them.
depends on what you have unlocked. if you have mortal retribution (high stance) unlocked it's a good option for one on one, otherwise mid is pretty stable
