at this point twitch isn't about watching a game, it's about watching a person playing, and AC has the advantage of being chill and slow-paced which allows streamers to interact more with their chat
that being said the viewership will drop eventually, probably very soon since the real routine is starting for everyone now

Where's the samoyed villager?
Also not a big fan of AC, but I've at least been moderately enjoying this one by just trying to design my island and house, so I suppose that would be the appeal here.
The actual life sim part of this is pretty weak though since the villagers have nothing really interesting to say.
