Pregnant Alma's swollen milkers are literally the only saving grace and that can easily be replicated with SFM but the novelty of body theft as a gameplay mechanic is amusing enough in small doses.

The most KINO aspect of this playthrough is that by fighting the rebels Connor is actually the one who's defying his creator because their creator was the one who planted the "freedom" virus. He sacrifices himself and his people for humans, and doing that makes him more human than the rebels

The 'but the kid was a robot all along!' shit. The antithesis of subtlety when it came to android Jesus. The way they tacked on a nonsensical romance for android Jesus. The way that the humans were all android-murder crazy no matter what you did.

Basically anything that wasn't Conner and Beardy's detective adventures turned to complete and total garbage, and even that got tainted at the end when they throw in some retarded 'ah ha! we INTENDED for you to become deviant' which made zero fucking sense and had zero fucking consequence.

It's this regrettable style of writing where they throw in whatever seems like it might be cool at the time even if it isn't supported by the rest of the story or character motivations. Hack writing.

Funnily enough Cage is at his best when he's just doing straight detective noir stuff. It's the best part in Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit, and why Beyond Two Souls is his absolute worst work. He always goes full retard some way or another, but Detroit is enjoyable for the most part because Connor is always there to hold it together.

Like most of David Cage's work, the most enjoyable things are unintentional

And there's a million things that can kill all humans with nobody to bring us back to. And it's much easier to protect a piece of tech from an EMP blast than to protect a piece of meat from an asteroid or a nuclear blast

David Cage games in general for me are great popcorny fun if you don't take all the dramatic twists and melodrama too seriously. I had a blast with Heavy Rain back in the day.

The police/agent aspect has always been the best part of his multiple POV stories in retrospect.

Though I really liked the idea that Indigo Prophecy had with having you play as the police as well as the person you're hunting. Even if it shit the necrophilia bed at the end.
