Anyone playing One Step From Eden? It borrows heavily from Slay The Spire and Mega Man Battle Network. Could use just a little polish but it’s otherwise really good.

Is there anything to it outside of the MMBN battles though?
Like even Slay the Spire has this rudimentary gameplay of choosing paths, aiming for chests, shops, rest spots, and mini bosses.

Does this game even have something like that or is it truly just battle after battle?

Yeah I'm finally getting to a point where I can imagine winning a run, the game throws a lot at you.

It has all that stuff, the deckbuilding too. The pathing is a little simpler I think.

Steam or switch

Better question: how likely is it that you are someone personally invested creating this thread on their phone with the intention to continuously bump the thread in an inorganic way?

link when

yeah op is for sure a plant. This game is awesome though. Hours just fly by

I'd honestly have a dev shill their game personally than some buffoon doing it just because.

Its fucking great

>i'd prefer dev shills than people actually just interested in the game and it's further development
wtf?

It has basic pathfinding but it's BASIC, nothing like StS. It also has a huge deckbuilding aspect on par with that of StS which I'm still trying to figure out, right now I seem to be doing well by focusing on synergy and ignoring everything else

But this game has pretty much nothing in common with StS, dunno why people keep making a comparison. It's real-time action. It's also about 10x harder than StS as a result. Everything so fucking FAST, huge AOE attack spam, keeping track of enemy position + your spells + dodging enemy attacks + trying to save the hostage/treasure, you need 200 IQ to play this game. Furthest I've gotten was 2nd to last boss after 9hrs.

Lemme let you in on something. MMBN fans are starved. The last BN game was 15 years ago, and the only good title that's come around since was Shanghai. I've been playing the shit out of eden and anticipating its release since I heard it was coming out through NL's coverage a week or so ago. The game is good.

If a game is going to be shilled it might as well be from the source instead of from mindless drones. Then you're at the very least interacting with the genuine article for better or worse instead of the pointless act of interacting with a drone.

I've got one win so far, now I've been trying out shiso. His damage is busted but you have to invest heavily in root effects to hit anything and you basically skip all shops.

It got styles/crosses?

How are you building your deck? I have the greatest success by focusing on a Frost deck of 5-6 cards and ignoring everything else.

>If a game is going to be shilled it might as well be from the source
>at the very least interacting with the genuine
holy shit user, slow down

In a way yes with its different characters.

Having a lot of fun but I still haven't figured out what types of decks are good for how I play. Also haven't really clicked with any of the unlockable characters either, most of them feel way too gimmicky so far.

How do you unlock alternate setups? All I have so far is Chrono Saffron

Are there any special conditions for character unlocks? I just got my 2nd character, the mechanic girl, after like 3 hours.

Waiting to pirate it.

Speaking of chrono, how do you do damage with her weapon? Or alternatively why is there a basic attack damage buff on a weapon that cant attack

I don't think so, I managed to unlock everyone except the Shopkeep just by playing normally, 9 hrs in. I think you might have to spare some of them?

Anyone figure out what the little rabbit at the campfires does if anything?
Not really sure, seems like it's just the post-run levelup type thing for everything. Kinda wish it was like the old demo where there were little secrets for unlocking things

You can take off your tinfoil hat, I just buy a lot of Switch games. StS is my most played game (pic related is my switch games by play time) so naturally I wanted to try it. Also, a thread about a game that came out today? Wow what a shocking event.

u don't, her basic attack just slows time. Each character has their own unique attack and some of them don't do dmg at all

>only 1 dude character
Id guess the dev is a coomer but half the girl characters arent even cute

Then once again,
>Or alternatively why is there a basic attack damage buff on a weapon that cant attack

you mean the artifact that buffs ur atk? Just ignore it, it obviously won't do shit

Any gameplay vids?

here's an old demo gamejolt.com/games/OSFE/366092

does it play well on the switch?

>rogue-like
>indie pixel graphics style
Nup

is it cracked yet

What's the multiplayer like? I read before that two people could play together and assist one another, and I'm assuming there's the standard multiplayer 1v1 scenario?

no but the nsp is.

I don't see it anywhere yet
Why are pirates so slow
Is this Coronas fault?

Haven't tried it so far but I'd assume it's probably like that. It's only local at the moment unfortunately, though they supposedly have online in the works

Sure it's Coronas fault because it affects people who sit in front of their computers all day, faggot
it's not cracked because nobody gives a fuck, waifu redditor

Are you even a real person or an ai that speaks in only buzzwords?

No the fucking time slow weapon on chrono saffron gives a stacking basic attack buff every time you use it. Keep up user

Yeah I bought it and no issues so far. I don't think I've seen the crazy stuff yet and it feels like BN on crack. I wonder what the coop is like.

I saw someone somewhere else complaining about slowdown, but haven't seen any myself. Runs perfectly fine for me.

I normally don't spend more than 15 dollars on an indie game so hopefully this justifies my exception
I'm too much of a slut for MMBN

this isn't how the human body works

HOW TO

I'll wait for a disount always wait a game for discount

technically it's already discounted right now 10% off

The controls and ui are silky smooth
I just wish the inventory button wasn't on the other side of the keyboard by default

Ugly tranny game
Hard pass

uhh no it's not
I think 10% off only applies to early access games

Skidrow claims to have one but when you download it, it says it's out of date and wants you to complete a survey for the real thing. Fuck that.

>disount

>none of the playable characters are poc
>all the playable characters are very clearly male or female
>main character is blue eyed blonde in a miniskirt with exposed midriff
>tranny game

Listen, I think your brain has been damaged from being on this board too long.

Frost focus works great on saffron or selicy. Anima spells in general seem to provide a solid base. With Shiso though I pretty much just pick trap type spells and maybe some shield later on, still figuring out how to shore up his defenses.

Who fucking cares, is the game good? Yes? Then who gives a shit if any of the characters are weird. The phrase "Tranny game" is evidence enough your brain's fucking broken.

I'm saying the char design isn't pozzed at all

You're as monkey brained as he is if you even care about such a thing.

Heard about this from the CrossCode announcement. Looks neat and I love Battle Network. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

It's not as good as Battle Network.

I don't want jews in my battle network as much as the next guy
