The Investigation Team has good chemistry. People say SEES grow to have good chemistry but I never saw it myself, there's some pairings like Junpei and Yukari that bounce off each other well, but on the whole I don't think they have good chemistry and I didn't get a sense of unity from them at the end of the game, they don't get much other than the scenes where one character encourages another for that and then they're just resolved to go up Tartarus, but just those scenes isn't enough to make the whole group feel close. There are still some pairs that work well though as I said. I think 5's cast work well together when they're actually conversing, but the issues is they so rarely do that outside of Mementos. They're just all business all the time. I would say they have good chemistry for the most part, but that chemistry isn't shown often enough.

The P4 cast had the best chemistry because they were written the to be best friends compared to P3 and P5 cast.
90% of P3 is them arguing with one another and for the most part just co-workers and P5 cast don't spend nearly as much time as the P4 cast does.

Anyway, P5 has terrible group chemistry. The first four party members are solid, and I didn't mind Yusuke because he was a fun addition, but Makoto's entry showed that they were a group with an objective more than the tight group of companions the game wants to believe they are. I don't think that girl has good chemistry with anyone, expect Hifumi in that one scene maybe.
