in retrospect, this game was effectively just a garbage cheap horror movie with jumpscares around every corner. the only difference being everyone is more competent because you can control them. it's actually kind of depressing that they had to put far more effort into making it compared to a shit horror film but it's still so fucking bad.

Not much. The structure of the game doesn't actually change much with your choices whatsoever.
It's very noticeable on repeat playthroughs if you keep the nog and the dumb girl alive. They don't show up for the entire game except one little chapter at the end to address their fate.

Shit was obvious from the get go. Also everything in terms of writing, graphics, acting and even the bare amounts of gameplay were a step down from Until Dawn. But then again the game is meant to be an anthology, the next part actually looks better.
