Could someone please explain what P3's and P4's final bosses are? Like I get that P5's is just a really big shadow, but is P4's a literal god independent of the dark hour?

Why do people keep including Noncanon-chan in these group shots? Is it pity?

Typical p5 fan

Nyx is the literal personification of death and the main reason that the collective unconsciousness was created as it's an act of rebellion against her psyche; all the personae is the series exist as a way to fight against her because if they didn't then everyone would get apathy syndrome and become mindless zombies. Izanami is just chilling idk what her importance is but she's just a really strong shadow.

Canon, I'm afraid.

Attached: 1546808772753.jpg (507x676, 92.21K)

also all shadows are born from Nyx which would include Yaldabaoth on Izanami, also this is a big reason as to why p1-p2 and nu-sona have lore inconsistencies as this puts Nyx above Philemon and Nyarly which doesn't make much sense.

Izanami is a "divine being", a god born of the Collective Unconsciousness. Desiring to both fulfill humanity's wishes and protect them, it was torn apart by these conflicting desires once humanity's wishes turned out to be self-destructive, and so it conducted an experiment to see how best to proceed, and allowed humanity to both choose the test and determine the outcome, she just chose the participants.

Cont.

izanami and yabba dabba aren't shadows what the fuck

how did you reach that conclusion

Yes

Everything that happens in Persona is canon. Learn.

Nyx in contrast is a completely different entity altogether. It is a planet-sized extradimensional lifeform that drifted through space until it came in contact with the very early developing Earth, where it impacted the planet. The ejecta from the impact gathered around Nyx's body and solidified in orbit around the planet, becoming Earth's moon. However, its overwhelmingly powerful psyche was left behind on the planet. This psyche was so strong it could only be interpreted by Earthborne cells as "Death", so to counter it the rudimentary psyches of all the early Earthborne organisms formed a collective mind and imprisoned Nyx's psyche deep within, forming the Collective Unconsciousness. Shards of Nyx's psyche from the impact also crystallized and fell to Earth as raw Shadows, called Plumes of Dusk.

Nyx's psyche facilitated the development of complex organisms and the rapid evolution of mankind, and all life on Earth shares Nyx's psyche deep down, which serves as the basis for all Shadows and divine beings in the series and all magic and cognitive fields like the Dark Hour, the TV World, and Mementos. However, Nyx's raw psyche is still too overwhelming for Earthborne organisms, so if enough Shadows gather Nyx's psyche can be reconstructed, and if delivered back to its body it will cause a event called the Fall, where it will consume all the psyches connected to the Collective Unconsciousness to recomplete itself, turning humanity all braindead, and then descend upon the planet to destroy it, fulfilling humanity's darkest desire.

Note that Nyx was given that name by the Kirijo Group, named after the Greek goddess of the night, but due to the archetype of the mother goddess of the night already existing in the Collective Unconsciousness the Shadow/divine being Nyx also exists as well, this one being the original Greek goddess.

She comes from another universe and that's canon now.

Ok retard

I always found the idea of Nyx retarded in the greater scheme of megaten.

Where does it say she's the moon?

Is all this lore contained in those files you find at the end of each block?

Have you played Persona 3? Nyx's Avatar returns its collected psyche back to its body, the moon, during its attempt at the Fall. This is also further explained in the artbook, where Aigis and a holographic recreation of Ikutsuki answer reader Q&A questions. Though half of that is Aigis attempting to murder Ikutsuki again.

No, those files detail the final days of the Kirijo Group's cult activities before the incident ten years ago that caused the destruction of the lab, the deaths of most of the scientists, and the release of the thirteen Full Moon Shadows into the world. They were written by the lady who runs the antique store, which shows how she can meld stuff with Personas to produce weapons, armor, and accessories.

Says who?

Q2.

Not canon.

All Persona spinoffs are canon

Just know that all the final bosses are just humanity's true wishes, until of course they are defeated by a few teenagers and no longer are humanity's wishes

Whenever there's a choice between male and female MC in Japanese games, the male is canon.

The Q series was canon from the start user.

Pretty much
Why can't Atlus write?

Ameno-Sagiri, and by extention Izanami, is a representation of man's wish to ignore the truth in their unconscious.

They can, just not for Persona 3 and on.

So? Persona 4 explains there is a multiverse of endless choices, and Persona Q and Q2 further explore this. Minako comes from a parallel universe where she is the MC instead of Minato, and in Q2 SEES doesn't recognize her because she crossed over here, so she's a stranger to them.

I just came here to say Nyx being an alien is the most retarded bullshit in all of Persona and there's a reason why Atlus never brings it up.
But in reading this thread I've just gotten mad again just thinking about it so I guess I failed myself.

Where does P4 talk about a multiverse?

Door-kun sacrificed his life to become a Door. Noncanon-chan sacrificed her canonicity.

Wrong.

Is it explored in that game at all that she sees people who look exactly like her best friends (and potentially even lover if she romanced Shinjiro/Aegis/Ken/Elizabeth/Akihiko) and they don't recognize her? I'd imagine someone would be quite affected by such a situation.

Attached: 🤔.png (408x286, 10.41K)

Yes, it's the chief conflict for her that all her friends don't recognize her, and causes her a hollow despair until everyone figures out she's from a parallel universe and they start to be friends with her from scratch. The male MC even pulls a "I am you, and you are me" with her in his explanation.

Do they fug?? :DD
That would be hot

P3's god boss is a star eating lovecraft alien that predates any sentient being and existed before humanity. Mother of shadows

Golden doesn't exist. It was a mistake. Though regardless, SMT was already an everything-is-canon multiverse anyway.

Play Persona 3. Nyx is the fucking moon itself

Golden is canon, the original P4 is outdated and no longer the continuity Atlus goes with.

Just like Golden, SMT's one is only in a rerelease that ruined the story

Let's just say Yaldy and Izanami doesn't compare in terms of powerlevel horseshit compared to Nyx

Marie shows up in later games, so it's the canon now, son.

Izanami came pretty close to turning the whole fucking world into Shadows, I'd say she's pretty destructive.
Can't physically destroy the actual planet like Nyx, but if both options end humanity which one is better, really.

Nigga they're all the same shit. It's just the manifestation of the collective will of humanity and always has been. Same shit since fucking Megaten was made by Namco in the 80s.

Nyx cannot be destroyed it just exist
Also see
which puts her miles above the rest

To be fair, it works on "if humanity believes it."

Yaldy went full SMT2 with his universal recreation, and it's not even the first time the Persona universe has been reset. Philemon created a second universe and split it from the old one.

Nyx really isn't shit because she applies to the same rules that made a pocket universe out of data in 1, let Nyarly nuke everything in IS via rumors, Philemon make a brand new universe with a "you can't remember your friends" clause in EP, Izanami steal the rumors thing and try to make a universe of fog because humanity likes lies, and Yaldabaoth almost remake the universe into his own millennium kingdom.

P3fags just love hyping up their baby's first Atlus game even though Atlus itself has gone through multiple versions of Nyx, and even fucking retconned Nyx in the Answer.

I'm pretty sure gods are born from the collective consciousness. They're born from humanity's wish for death, wish to escape reality, and wish to have someone rule over them.

>retconned Nyx in the Answer
How?

But Persona series started at 3....

Oh, thanks, I only played vanilla.

P5 crew defeated bootleg Yaldy

Erebus changed the rules from P3 because the dev team remembered that Nyx is just the night goddess and she had to fuck Erebus to give birth to death.

Only the spinoffs.

muh Erebus
It was Erebus all along.

Spinoffs are canon.
If even Noncanon-chan can be canon now because spin-offs, Marie is a no-brainer.

I still don't see how that changes anything. Erebus represents humanity's collective desire for death, a call to Nyx from all mankind. He can't make contact with Nyx if Nyx isn't formed, and his voice, representing humanity, is louder than SEES's puny individual voices. Nyx herself learned humanity through Pharos/Ryoji, and constantly tries to help humanity afterwards, even lamenting that if only more people were like SEES, the Fall could've been avoided.

Is nyx more powerful than YHVH and Stephen?

No

Of course not. Nyx is still a manifestation of the universe while YHVH created it and everything in it.

Every Persona game is just another extention of Phil and Nyarly little bet. Any personification of a human concept that might dab on humanity is just Nyarly's doing and our heroes are blessed by Phil. See: Butterfly in the opening of every game.

YHVH is like God literally.... Altho Fatlus made Nyx broken as shit in P3. SMT is off the charts in terms of powerlevel

>YHVH created it
