Nah the community was small to begin with and has shrunk over time because of how nintendo handled marketing and post launch support but Arms still very much has a community on Yas Forums even if it's fairly small. The game did well so this makes sense.

Sakurai stated that when they received ARMS character for request, it took them a while because of how different they fight.

Not really. You could argue the Hero template follows the same stats and builds in their own games. But the ARMS characters have unique abilities.

Kind of want but that'd also be bullshit since there are significant differences between fighters, like Ribbon Girl's extra jump or Twintelle not even using her arms to fight. Odds are good it'll just be Spring Man since he's the vanilla of Arms, and if we very lucky Ribbon Girl will be a borderline echo fighter.

Aside from a few of the stages released later and goo dude's lair, the default launch stages were all pretty forgettable to me. Well I remember Kid Cobra's stage but only because it sucked dick.

From a gameplay point of view, Byte and Barq be possibly bringing the most unique stuff in. They could have an Ice Climbers thing but the difference being that Barq would actually do stuff on his own and would respawn unlike Nana.

I know the Koopalings have distinctions as well but in Smash, that's all rendered null by the Clown Car
There's also how ARMs characters should get their own animations given their different personalities

You're right. Just the way they emphasized the entire ARMS cast suggests they're trying to incorporate a bunch of them, although its probably just be to fuel speculation for 2 months.
