remember when animal crossing was about being spawned with a random face instead of making it like some god? and their design had personality and wasn't just the same as any basic animated movie/game.
ITT: Soul vs. soulless
>everyone talking about Animal Crossing
>all the streamers and youtubers playing animal crossing
>only played it once before, and only for two weeks before i sold off my 3DS
>now getting a sudden urge to go buy a switch and Animal Crossing
fuck
That creepy Raggedy An looking husk on the left does not have more fucking personality than the villager on the right.
>getting influenced by YouTube and Twitch shills
Yes, give in to peer pressure and pay up little sheepie
the gamecube villager definitely has soul alright, the soul of a goddamn demon
bitch looks exactly like that haunted annabelle doll that's been locked up in solitary confinement for half a century
Animal crossing always had an unsettling charm. Just look at the Gyroids or Resetti (both gone now). Nook used to be a literal scheming jew who tricked you into a crushing amount of debt, health insurance scammers would turn up at your door step to desperately harass you into their pyramid scheme.
The danger was part of the appeal it gave the game a more balanced experience.
Right is hot
this is some serious fucking mental gymnastics
>animal crossing was great because it was dangerous
nigga what?
yes because answering questions is so much more soul, kys op
I remember when you made this same thread yesterday.
Here's your (you) and 50 nook miles
Some of the most comfy games have spooky or unsettling elements. Just like how some of the funniest moments are in horror movies.
Emotions are more potent when in contrast.
if animal crossing of all things made you feel unsettled you are an honest to god pussy
ACGCfags are starting to sound just like MMfags lmao
did they remove gyroids and resetti? what the actual fuck? why?
I was 10 years old when Wild World came out user. Of course it was unsettling. Animal Crossing is a children's games.
Soulless vs soul
I was a young kid when I first played Animal Crossing and that game never spooked me.
Only time I ever really jumped was when I shook a wasp nest out of a tree for the first time.
At least try emulating New Leaf and then go from there
if animal crossing is about being spawned with a random face then the game ends as soon as you spawn. you want random? then close your eyes and create your character
why is animal crossing so funny
Does anyone use the Gamecube style camera?
i want to ____ the villager on the right
Be
I mean I get what you're hinting at but still your picture doesn't exactly help your case.
marketing is working on you
that's the one i played.
it's not even about wanting to play it, just the fact that i'm so bombarded by the game that it makes me want to play it
Can I open it negatively though?
but the right one speaks to my dick
Coomless vs COOM
I'm assuming not enough time to put it in since they already delayed the release date once. But there's hints of it in the game's code as well as an entire museum section for them so people are thinking it'll be an update eventually. Given how god damn nice the museum is it's probably a lot of work for the devs.
Resetti is in, but in a different role since the game autosaves now. He can instead reset your position if you somehow manage to get stuck.
OG crossers are demon spawns but i'd prefer to play them over the slice of life plastic cartoonime products in the new ones
animal crossing went from being a witty caricature of settling in in a modern town life to pandering to gays, women and people with anxiety/depression
Good luck. Orientation of the hinge swing was lost years ago. Science isnt sure which direction is positive
It's honestly worth it. This game is so fucking good. It's a slow burn though
>a witty caricature of settling in in a modern town life
it was never that
Resetti because he was to scary for kids and the game has auto-saving now
Gyroids, I have no idea.
There's a nice little duplication glitch out right now that I expect to get patched out in a week or so, give or take.
Compared to past entries in the game, this one is a slowburner, and I can't say I'm terribly fond of the whole Nook Miles thing this game does, maybe it gets better, but in the first half of the game, racking them up is frankly tedious. Take advantage of the duplication glitch, and duplicate the Crown item ingame, you'll have your first million bells in half an hour, do it all day long and you could probably have 10-500 million. Me and my cousin did it, and we pulled in 445k each time (without the extra inventory slot, 350k). If you have the Nooks Cranny upgrade already, keep in mind that the dropbox will lower your profits just a little bit, but it's not a big deal since you're generating free money.
Definitely time travel a bit to make the first half of the game less of a slog and open things up alot quicker than you normally would, might as well while you have the opportunity with this wonderful little glitch.
But yeah, the Animal Crossing games are just truly great games to have fun and relax, and New Horizons is no exception, it's almost like Stardew Valley meets Animal Crossing with this one.
If you didn't like it on 3DS you probably wont like it here and theres no chance in hell youre getting a switch right now without paying a horrifying scalper fee. If you're still interested despite the warnings really look into it before buying otherwise youll be the 20th "ah jeez guys i fell for buying a switch" thread this month.
how is nu-animal crossing so popular when stardew valley does everything it does but better?
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STOP HAVING FUN BE A BITTER DEPRESSED SHITPOSTER LIKE ME NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>trouble accruing nook miles
How? You get them for doing literally everything. I'm sitting on like 22k right now and I spend them like mad.
I know this is a bait thread, but do people actually want all the games do be fucking clones of one another? What's the point of a sequel if it adds nothing?
What is this game about?
Based npc
Mutts law
animal crossing was always about simulating having friends for people living in a lonely environment.
Eguchi is quoted for this being his inspiration for Animal Crossing.
What is this game about?
Soul
It always amases me how Yas Forums always scavanges for a reason to bitch and moan about something. The launch of AC, Doom and HL at the same time sent this board into full sperg out
How are games even allowed to improve if you guys just spam this soul/soulless meme
Old good new bad
I feel you man, I know I'd hate it but all my friends are talking about it and I'm getting the urge to buy it. For what it's worth I was in the same boat with Doom and caved in and it's fucking great though.
Almost exclusively
Atmosphere and community. Half the fun for most people isn't in playing the game, it's in talking about it with others on social media.
>v/ spends eternity of late 2019-early 2020 whining about game drought
>games come out
>infinite bait threads
Games are /v's krptonite.
Splatoon devs are involved here. They want to treat the game as a service with frequent updates to keep players engaged and to counter time travelers.
I think it started out as a pretty legit thing, but this thread is a really good example of people just being fucking retarded nostalgiafags.
Stardew is a completely different genre. AC isn't a farming simulator.
I made a thread yesterday with this image but I'm not the OP of this current thread.
big beats are the best: get high all the time
They're barely alike in what they actually focus on. You'd be better off comparing Stardew Valley to Harvest Moon or Rune Factory.
Letting you pick your character's looks was a mistake, fucking hate going online and seeing nothing but tranny mouths
lmao don't fucking buy it. Did you ever learn your mistake from buying New Leaf? Boring as fuck game where you do fucking chores and follow an irl schedule to talk with NPCs.
New Horizons is the best AC to date, and the future updates of the game will only solidify that. Fuck anyone who says otherwise.
just dont go online
