Chronicles of Elyria has officially shut down after getting $8+ million from Kickstarter

All employees have been fired and backers are angry after spending money on virtual land.

That's why you never support anything "in development" or "early access". Unless it's a finished product they've got no reason to shut down, it'll probably die a horrible death.

ESPECIALLY indie shit. As if fucking indies know how to budget cash.

Yeah that's about what I expected

Backers can't do shit except seethe lmao
Get fucked retards

Problem was that the developers were stringing backers along for years with promised content updates.
Just a few days they promised pre-alpha testing for them.

>Kickstarter
Lol

>problem was
the problem was dipshits paid money for something they couldn't play.
If their project idea was so shit they couldn't get an ACTUAL financial backing, why would you expect they'd be able to do anything with it with money from a bunch of normalfags? The kickstarter games that have succeeded are an exception, most fail horrendously. Early access in general, as well.

I wonder what the cultists will do after their money scam comes crashing down.
