>over 20 hours before the game even begins to resemble a final fantasy game
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING
Over 20 hours before the game even begins to resemble a final fantasy game
ffx is a great game and you're a faggoto
best ff game
coprofags like you have no say in the matter.
t.faggoto-man
I just started XII yesterday and love it so far. Hoping to jump into X after that.
The combat is certainly the best but the story is a joke
story is literally better than any other ff
>We are your le epic guardians Yuna
>u r da summoner
>this is rly epic bro’s!
It's not epic, it's sad, and tragic, and melancholic
compared the heaping trashfires that are every other FF, even
>epic mem green text bro
is better
Tidus is like the fucking sonic the hedgehog of the FF series and don’t even get me started on Seymour. Fucking trash villain.
fpbp
spsbp
>Tidus is like the fucking sonic the hedgehog of the FF series
what does that even mean
The first 20 hours certainly resembles the past four final fantasy titles.
This game is linear. Many people dislike the characters. The voice acting is laughable at times. It's easy.
And yet it's still so enjoyable. Why?
So his dad "became real" but tidus never actually existed in the first place, he was just a part of a collective dream?
Because of a four-letter word that starts with S.
Was tidus an anima?
shit?
based.
NOOOOOOOOOOO. YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO HAVE THE SAME TIRED FORMAT OF THE OTHER DOZEN GAMES.
succ
Correct
Though, Jecht & Tidus had the same effect that they both became "real" when they touched sin. The difference is Jecht became Yevon's dream when he became Sin, which means he was no longer part of the Gagazet dream.
But were they real in the past, or a complete fabrication?
reimagination of people who once existed, distorted by old as fuck memories.
Tidus is the distorted memory of Shuyin
Something along the lines of "GRAHHHHHH MY DADDY ISSUES!"
Is it just me or does it take too long to get anything out of the job system? I was kind of excited by the idea of the newer more free sphere grid, but you can't really mix and match and create unique combination skillsets like some of the games with good customization, unless you grind so much that your XP amount by itself kills the challenge. The best you can really get out of it without wasting excessive time is use the close starting positions to double-up on the paths that are strongest by themselves.
Your own fault for having expecatations going into this shit game.
This game really isn't much more linear than FFIX. Just because you enter an overworld sometimes doesn't mean you're suddenly nonlinear, most of the time you're clearly funnelled from location to location by the plot's demand. People just over-react to the lack of an overworld and forget that most of FF7 and 9 had you running in a straight line on that map, constrained by geography.
Shut the fuck up, I'd like to critique the game and hear refutations from intelligent people or things that alleviate the issue.
Blitzball is fun and underrated.
the trick is that everyone had their own path and you can jump back and forth between paths using the spheres.
Yuna can easily learn black magic, or breaks/busters, or steal, really fucking anything and she doesn't even have to jump from her current spot on the grid.
I fucking love blitzball.
>intelligent people
>defending FFX
Pick one.
I do not understand Blitzball and therefore I do not like Blitzball.
best combat theme in the franchise

>he's like Sonic because he's autistic lel
Really, if any FF protagonist is Sonic-like it's probably Zidane.
Imagine if the actual gameplay reflected the music.
Why are game designers consistently the worst, most talentless people at their companies?
Goddamn this industry is a piece of shit.
>tfw you'll never play FFX for the first time in 2001 on your 20'' CRT with 9/11 coverage going on in the background of your parents room
(You)
>Dark Anima has 8 million HP and a fuckton of evasion
>finally beat her after an hour of spamming attack reels and casting auto-life for oblivion
Somebody, please tell me the rest of the post-game fights are more interesting. I had more fun dodging lighting than this.
the post game fights are bullshit
>the rest of the post-game fights are more interesting
This reads like something a middle schooler from 2007 wrote.
2 of my friends who have never played a FF game are playing it right now. Gonna ask them how it held up and what they think of the differences between the original and remaster are since one is playing emulated and the other remastered.
Will write everything down and post it in these fucking seemingly daily threads
i play this every year and a half or so on the ps2, and i have a save file on new game plus so i have the albhed language unlocked, and its right after the first blitzball match, because fuck blitzball
based
who cares what someone nobodys think i bet they dont even have a youtube
Never played X, but I know it's pretty beloved by fans of the series. Seems like if it's done anything wrong, the positives of it more than make up for it.
Nope they dont. Which is why it will fit here and not for youtube. Unless I record their thoughts or some shit
people here only care about the opinions of youtubers with at least 100k subs
X was the start of the downward trend. But that was faggot ENIX fault anyways not X's
still the best thing we've gotten from this game
youtube.com
>normies playing FFX in 2020
They'll probably hate it for having shit (by 2020 standards) graphics, bad voice acting and the laughing scene. For anything that gets memes these days, the media itself gets completely overshadowed by the memes regardless of the actual quality. The Zero Wing effect, in other words.
>Rikku attacks Tidus and Wakka in some high tech miniature submarine
>Tidus finds Rikku on the shore 3 minutes after the fight
>Rikku: ''Hey, that hurts, you know.''
>Tidus: ''Wait, that was you?''
>Rikku: ''Yeah. You big meanie.''
>Tidus: ''But you attacked us!''
>Rikku: ''It's not what you think.''
>end of the conversation, and nobody says a word about this anymore for the rest of the game
Yes, epic story indeed.
wha'ts the issue?
summoner's cousin tried to spirit away the person trying to kill herself because her guardians were hell bent on making sure she killed herself. Only people who know it was her are the dude who doesn't want the summoner to kill herself and the summoner, who is her cousin
No. None of them are good and they all basically have the same dominant strategies. If you were hoping for something like emerald weapon were you had a bunch of different options to win then you're gonna be disappointed.
We'll see I guess
You are completely missing the point, user.
>You attacked us.
>It's not what you think.
Is that it? Is that the explanation? It's not what you think. Then what is it?
babbys first FF
They got interrupted. By the rest of the gang
With normal people it always seems to be the same shit, at least for me. Of course most of the people I end up talking to are zoomers, who are like the second coming of actual baby boomers I swear.
that gets explained when they get to bikanel, user.
don't act like it's not fucking explained.
>retard filter
i had an easy time with that minigame, along with the lightning.
>muh shitty controls
they are both summons. the gagazet fayth are summoning zanarkand.
Ah, yes. 20 hours later.
By that logic I can hit you in the head, when you ask why I did it I will say ''It's not what you think.'' and hopefully, someone will intrerrupt us, we'll have soem tea and we will never talk about it again.
Not to mention the scene that follows:
>''Hey guys, this is Rikku. She is Al Bhe... ur.. eh''
And Wakka, who hates Al Bheds with a passion, couldn't figure it out.

Again, great story. Would recommend.
you're being a disingenuous shit.
>Ah, yes. 20 hours later
>and we will never talk about it again
and yes, wakka's a fucking retard. That's literally his character, and he's not the first in the FF series to be a certified retard. With even this said, it's STILL better than every other FF
