Should I do it? I'm not going to build one for myself, and I think this looks like the best bang for my buck

Honestly? I would buy one then in general. Stick with consoles, PC's are more prone to random errors and breakage and the process of putting one together yourself is useful in the sense that you get a good feeling for what's in there and if anything goes wrong you're a little bit better equipped to diagnose and fix issues that arise. Most prebuilts aren't designed with taking them back a part or swapping parts out in mind so dealing with any issues can get pretty dicey.

DUDE dont do this, i have the exact same build and i built it myself for like $300 less.

the case is nice but whats in the machine really isnt worth it for what the price is.

No. Build your own

If you can't build your own don't game on pc. It'll be a shit experience as it requires at least some knowledge you clearly don't have

how does it perform?

>not even an rtx card
no, build one yourself

youtube.com/watch?v=LopLLGUhjvM
if you want this kind of gaming experience for nearly a thousand dollars when you can get more performance for less money then go right ahead and buy it

It runs any game I want it to play above 100fps usually. Unless you're an fps freak and only want 400fps usually then I would just say to make a considerable upgrade in parts.

build your own also wait for new cards to come out

Well if you're never going to build one yourself and you absolutely want a gaming pc, then go for it. You'll have something to enjoy while corona-chan is wrecking the world.

No it’s really not a good deal. I spent a little less than that and build a system with a much better GPU and slightly faster ram

>1k for that build
Is this a joke

what said

I have a laptop that has similar specs that costed half of that. If you don’t trust yourself in building one (I don’t blame you) then go to Newegg and shop for prebuilt.

or just buy the parts and then pay someone to build it for you for like 80 dollars

Look up all your local small PC shops for their prebuilts or their price for putting together parts for you (that you bought at the best prices available online)

what are you going to do when the PC stops turning on one day? just throw it away?

if you build your own you will be able to swap out parts relatively easy and you should know within 10 mins what part needs to be replaced.

got any problems with amd gpu drivers like other people or does it work fine for you? probably gonna get a 2070 super for my next build but 5700 could also be an option if it works well now

>ready to buy all the parts I need after a long time of researching
>check my pc part picker list
>all prices have gone up 20%
>mfw
You goddamn jews
don't tell me people are hoarding pc parts now

No. Build a PC.

Fuck off. Is your case and mobo cheap Chinese shit?

First review is a shill post

Avoid

from first review: The ram is RGB
zoomers gonna love it anyways

no

If you build it yourself it could have a 2070 in it for roughly the same price.

does it really matter what your case is? It really can't make any difference outside of aesthetics right?

>pay someone to build it for you for like 80 dollars
listen to yourself my man and they usually have a flat rate of $100-200

thats still not terrible, i was guessing because i havent done it myself

OP here, you guys have sorta convinced me. I'm trying to find all the parts I need on pcpartpicker rn so I guess i'll just look at the difference in price and make my decision off of that.

some cases have better airflow which is pretty important for keeping your shit cooled and if you want your PC to look nice some have extra space specifically designed for cable management.

okay guys tell me what I should replace

Seems expensive for some nearly obsolete parts.

and yes I am okay with just 1 tb hard drive storage. I use an external hard drive for my laptop anyways and it really doesn't bother me

It's only possible to quickly determine what part failed when you have spare parts to try out which first time PC builders won't. But if they have friends who build they could ask for help.

Works fine, driver issues haven’t really been a thing since the first month of Navi release.

Change the GPU to a 5700, get a 650w PSU

i would change out the ram. 16GB 3000mhz is pretty good but you are undoubtedly paying an extra premium for the corsair brand.
go either G.Skill or Team T Force and you could easily shave off like 20 dollars
and for a motherboard grab an MSI B450 Tomahawk Pro. one of the best AM4 motherboards for the price but doesnt fuck around with added bonus shit like wifi
consider grabbing a cheap 100-ishGB SSD just for putting windows on, this will give you faster boot times and much faster file transfers (i.e moving shit from folders or extracting zip files)

why would I get a 650w PSU if it estimates my wattage will be under 400?

Not OP but I want a gaming desktop and I don't want to fuck around with cords all day. I want to play Alyx.

OP here and that is pretty much me

Pay more then, it's fine.

>microatx case
>venus
>3000Mhz ram
>BR psu
ohnoononononoo

update

please tell me what would be better

Why do people keep buying this dumb masterbox. Find a better case.

its cheap baka. whats wrong with it

It's cheap, but also more expensive than it's worth. Get a case that's cheap but the fans are fine and the dust filter is also fine.

okay now... how is this?

Is LogicalIncrements usually alright for PC part recommendations if you're building from scratch, or are some of the suggestions gonna just rip ya off?

Just go with that, there will always be someone who says to get something different, it can't be that bad to live with that.

Get a MSI B450 Tomahawk.
Freezer 33 or 34 (The normal ones not the gayming ones).
SU800, Crucial MX500 or 860 EVO.

AVOID ALL CORSAIR PSUs, do not cheap in your PSU.
Look for Seasonic Focus or EVGA G3 PSUs 600W+.

Because the 5700 can draw 200w

Its enough to give you a idea how build one but they arent usually good parts.

For AM4 motherboards you should look at MSI.
For storage WD and HGST, never seagate.
PSUs depends but the Seasonic gold and EVGA G3 series are the ones you should get, not because they are popular but because they are good.
You should avoid Kingston SSDs too.
ADATA and Crucial good price/performance stuff, Samsung makes good stuff but overpriced as fuck, WD has only 2 good SSDs everything else are low quality Sandisk rebrands.

Like we tell everyone else. Do not buy a new PC until the new consoles come out.

No one has ever told anyone that what are you on about.

For nearly $1000, I feel like you could do better than a 1660 and 240gb ssd.

I've had 2 PCs just stop working on me so I need to build one from scratch. I just want something I can play high graphics on and VR compatible. Can I do this for -$1k?

just get a b450 tomahawak max for your motherboard. mATX board on an Atx case is ugly. that particular model of 5700 XT is not really good, either get any Sapphire model or a Powercolor red devil.

Ryzen 3600 and 5700 XT.
Yes.

Is there a point to an HDD if you can just get a big SSD?
