i think the gameplay is better in 2 because 2 adds some neat shit, but the levels in 2 don't seem to be anywhere near as atmospheric, no mercy is still the best campaign made for that game, including mods

2 adds useless SIs that people suicide with before survivors leave spawn. It also adds crap like charger which you'll get kicked if you don't kill someone with off a roof.

Back in L4D1, you'd have 3 good SIs and a boomer. In L4D2, most of the time you have shit. And I don't want to read the cope from L4D2 VSfags who actually want to argue that spitter is as good as spawning a horde or jockey is as good as hunter.

The game would have been way cooler if there were random pockets of survivors who were either scared shitless civies or helpful/aggresive, and they interacted with the infected as well either getting killed or killing.
