I eat sleep and breath the swamp. The swamp is the best part of the game. Once you reach the swamp, you simply never leave the swamp. Hunting at night in the swamp is peak witcher.

Look dude. I love Witcher 1 but it's incredibly simplistic. It looks complex but it's a lot of fluff, in reality the sequels fleshed out the gameplay considerably

I remember I used to hang out in taverns and drink and eat there and play dice, it was SO GOD DAMN IMMERSIVE.

I actually dropped the game here the first time I played it because the chapter is boring as fuck and consists entirely of fetch-quests and running around.
The ending kind of makes up for it but to me it was still worse than the swamps.

Anyone dumb enough to drop the game on chapter 4 for some imagined flaws would've dropped it long ago in the first couple of chapters for actual flaws, nice going outing yourself dumb falseflagger.

What are you even talking about? TW3 has more depth in its costumization than both 1 and 2, specially with the mutation system from the DLC. The combat in the first game was just a timing clicker.

There's lots of potion ingredients from the swamp monsters though.

Just going to post what I remember about the first game

also i got the cow to sacrifice to the fish guy but found a different way of doing the boss fight and the cow didn't stop following me so the chapter ended with me, alvin and a cow running away from the village while everyone killed each other

I enjoyed fugging all girls I could and collecting their cards in Witcher 1 way more than I did when the same thing had actual sex scenes in 2 and 3, which felt cringy instead.

Also the worst parts of Witcher 1 was anything to do with sewers and the swamps, which I hated so much that it ruins my memories of all the good things the game has to offer until I replay it again and love it once more. But enough time passes and most of what I remember is the swamp and sewers.

Nah. The game slows down completely and you have to do the boring quest with the wedding couple. It's a lot of running through big, empty maps and sitting at campfires because you have to do things at certain times.
I don't understand why the swamp gets so much hate because you don't have to fight all the drowners and plants, you can just run away.

The swamp was alright, that guy who got hit by with a brick was pretty funny

from what i remember you have to explore every inch of the fucking place to get some dumb flowers. i also have fond memories of running all the fuck over vizima and the swamps countless times trying to find the objective before i realised you were supposed to confront the guy about being the baddie in disguise

I dont remember exactly what was with the swamp other than I remember having to run back and forth on it countless times and the drowners having respawned every single time. Both times I played the game it felt endless to me.
