It's a musou through and through. You're going to fight waves of grunts on your way to on objective where you fight and defeat a named officer, or in this case One Piece Character, repeat until you fight the stage boss. If you don't like musou's you probably won't like these games. They don't do anything notably different, they just do it very well.

That said I buy the dvds because I enjoy putting it on as background noise while I’m painting or working in my shop and the commentary is fun sometimes.
